  • one question; are they worth the money? I bought a pair a couple of days ago - waiting for the delivery.

  • @Limpfittz definately, best ones in their range and they compete with ones that are way more expensive

  • I'm not familiar with these Yamaha's since I'm working on Mackie HR824's, but placed close to the wall like this should not be an issue considering most quality nearfields have a selectable low freq filter to adjust.

But again, not familiar with these monitors so not sure if they have a low-freq filter. If not, basstrap 'm.

  • OH MAN THESE SPEAKERS SOUND GREAT IM GOING TO BUY THEM BASED ON HOW THEY SOUND IN THE VIDEO THROUGH YOUR ON CAMERA MIC SO HOT

  • please help me choose this or krk rokit 8 g2?

  • @Tomflyable Definitely the Yamaha's no question about it!

  • @Tomflyable krk's are what i'm rocking now, getting a cheaper pair of yamahas for a seperate room. krk's kill it

  • @CodyModo

lol Krk does not belong in same league with Yamaha, maybe with M-Audio.

  • @26psyside what make of krk's have you heard? the only bad ones are krk rokit passives.

  • @CodyModo

Krk Rokit G2, 5&6. The midrange is masked, and the bass is boomy.

  • Ok, So I sold my HS50m's and Plan to get a HS80m. Do I need a sub for the 80's?

  • @TheDanLeeOfficial Answer is No

  • @sonico73 Yes, but they also have a room control switch at the back if you are limited with space and have to have them close to the back wall.

  • hi, where can i get a desk like that? did you built it up by yourself?

  • Hiii I plans to have a pair of HS80M

    I like to have a flat responsed monitor . . .

Earlier I was planning to have Maudio BX8a & changed my opinion just bcoz of it's coloured tone

Will it b a good choice for me ?

  • How can i hook the Yamaha HS80m with my laptop? What do i need?

  • @OrangeGuy8000 A soundcard, that's all. And some wires to connect the speakers to the soundcard :) If you are buying the HS80's for music production purposes, make sure you buy yourself a good 24bit soundcard designed for music production, for the best sound quality, and to also get the best results out of the monitors. I use the Yamaha HS80's too, and they are very nice & accurate monitors. I use them in a fully acoustic foam treated room, and that will also help the monitors true performance

  • @OrangeGuy8000 You will need a external or audio interface, like apogee duet, great portable device. Or any device that provides balanced/unbalanced outputs.

  • yeah i got a song on this joint, this bangs hard, dub step or nuttin!!!

  • these speakers can be connected directly to the pc or only through amplifier??

  • @smakaknah there are amplifiers in each speaker. You can plug them with XLR of jack 1/4

  • where can I get a desk like that?

  • Are they any good for producing?

Because I don't mix, I want to hear how my production sounds on studio monitors.

    Thanks in advance

  • Any chance that you've also heard the Yamaha MSP7's? I really want to know what people think about them as compared to the HS80M's, but there are very few reviews.

  • what about the bass/low freq? you can't hear that from that video. thx!

  • kinda pointless if ur using the inbuilt camera mic :) just a thought

  • Yamaha said that the monitors to close to the wall it wont give a accurate frequency response in bass will add Bass and your mix will be inaccurate

  • @sonico73 I know I've read the manual :) I dont use to mix on them at home (wich is where they are in the video) I've taken them to various studios if I want to mix on them. this is just a random setup to playback some music :)

  • @MrFrantaztic Sorry. Auralex

  • @sonico73 Isn't there a room control function on the back to fix the over bass from being to close to the walls? and if you tired them how well do they work on the HS80's

  • Yeap you are right the controls behind your Hs80m works great however the purpose of this controls its to cut or boost some frequencies that you lack in your room its doesn't control the distance of near and far from the wall but certainly helps a little bit if you know what frequency are lacking in your room. The room needs to be acoustically treat and test so you know exactly the sweet spot for your monitors. when they are close to the wall it will give you a false frequency or a false bass

  • whats the name of the music your playing?

  • @Phobia11233 Noisia - Alpha Centauri

  • @Nirvana55NH Thanks, i have the same speakers btw. They really nice.

  • My best buy in my life :) I got a pair of these and they sound beautiful. They can go so loud with out losing performance and it has alot of low-freq power put also the , High /mid- freq is powerful , this is a perfekt song for testing what its capeble to do :) very nice :)

  • @BENBOOST9 those are 120W each :) and a hi fi system is equalized to sound bassy therefore you're not hearing the true sound.

  • @BENBOOST9 You think the mic from an iPhone can capture the Low-freq from these speakers? lol, i'd suggest you go look for a pair and listen to them.

  • @Nirvana55NH

So whats the point of your "test" then?

  • @maobing23 Absolutely none.

  • wouh this track sounds awesome.. whats the name.?

wanna buy some new speakerz, thought about the krk rp8 or yam's hs 80.

some people say they're equal, some people say they're totally different from each other..

  • @BobTheRadio1 @SrbadijaHH The song is named Alpha Centauri and its from Noisia.

  • whats the name of this song ? plz

  • are you satisfied with the Yammies? Rating out of 10 ?

    cheers...thinking of getting them.

  • @GranulatedStuff Yes I am definetly happy with the HS-80M I'd rate them 8/10

they are the best in there price range in my opinion. I have had them in a studio setup and compared them with different models. I'm using them for almost two years now.

  • @Nirvana55NH

    Appreciated.

  • @GranulatedStuff No problem if you have more questions maybe I can awnser them. oh and I forgot to mention that these sound better then the HS-50M due too the HS-80M" woofer.

  • Terrible speaker positioning no?

  • @P5BDeluxeWiFi I've seen worse..

  • 'oude' Noisia was veel beter man!

  • @ZoGedaan Ja kan goed alhoewel die nieuwe CD ook echt lekker is. Heb ze laatst live gezien dat was ook briljant!
