  • goood lord sir... wat kinda camera do u have it was clear from like 500 yds away =O

  • Hi there and thanks for your comments. I use a Sony HDE-12 High Def Camera but i know they no longer make this camera you can get similar cameras but the spec is not as good. Cheers Lee.

  • @264flight what kind of camera is cheap and just like this one?

  • If the Raptor is replacing the F-15, and F-15's are based at Lakenheath, Could it be that there will be raptors based at lakenheath in the coming years?

  • @Sharkattack48 Yeah, I am aware of that now, anyway, the Raptor is being cancelled isn't it? Obama cut funds for that Raptor so the US is stuck with only 200 of them

  • Ya they didn't cancel the yf23 they just didn't put it in production because the yf22 won the contract which is now the fa22 raptor

  • Watched the display this afternoon !... Very impressive, was on the other side of the runway, was like my own personal display :-)

  • Two of the best fighters of all time great vid thanks

  • Finally the F-22 is making a return to fairford. such a great plane. Got my tickets already

  • rumors are that the RAF might purchase the F-22 Raptor instead of the X-35 because even thought the X-35 is capably of VTOL the Raptor is a far better purchase, so hopefully the RAF will order both but on the MOD's current budget i doubt they can afford either, maybe the RAF will have the best Fighter in the military! would be good if they did purchase it!

  • Yes and our wonderful president wants to stop its' manufacture!!!!!!! Although-check out the YF 23!!!!

  • The President and Congress went on the USAF and DoD's recommendations not to budget as many planes due to the F-35 project, since it was supposed to be much less "expensive."

Perhaps now that the F-35 program's per-unit just almost doubled, the F-22 might start to look "attractive" again. Doubtful, though, as that would make the remainder (USN, USMC and foreign powers) buying the planes that much more expensive due to lower volume purchases.

Damned if you do...damned if you don't.

  • Our "wonderful" president was smart enough to spread the money around to buy other, more useful, weapons for our current fighting needs rather than pooling our tax dollars into a single project. I too want more F-22 but that would be keeping other more necessary weapons systems from seeing the light of day!

  • I don't get you people. You rag on the deficit but then rag on Obama for cutting hugely expensive weapons programs. I'd love to have a lot of things, including hundreds of F-22s. But you have to get the most bang for your buck and the F-22 is a single mission platform and a horrendously expensive one.

  • @zaigar11 i thought they stopped th yf-23 years ago please correct me if i a wrong

  • Those things cost around a billion dollars to make

  • 130 million.

  • my dads in the army and he recently went to iraq in 2004 and he told me that all he heard overnight was "those motherfucking things" sick though.

  • lol... the F-22 doesn't need an escort. it could take on anything. if anything, the F-15 needed the escort lol. great vid by the way 5 stars.

  • i bet that f-15 pilot is feeling real safe that he got a raptor has a wingman lol.

  • i bet he's just thinking: im an f15 pilot and i own you all including monimstarfox. and i think he doesnt need escort at an airshow mate.

  • it was a joke dude

  • bastards why werent they at 09?

  • the dollar doesnt buy as much as it used to...not enough fuel

  • You don't promote a program that your cancelling. can't get a 22 at the abbotsford intl or even Seattle, home of boeing.

  • the current planes 183 are remaining active . they fly many planes at shows that arent being produced but are still active b52 , a10 and so on, they just dont wanna risk any right now. they flew this year in marietta Ga airshow

  • i cant debate with you if u dont even know the fucking difference

  • that RAPTOR is one mean machine!

  • 3:40 holly shit son!!!!!!!

  • uffffff love my soldiers

  • oh cool thanx for replyin

  • i thought the airshow last year was cancelled? if id a know they were still flyin id have gone, we are goin this year and cant wait just hope the weather holds out for us this year :)))

  • its a pity the human body can only take around 9g's (when going up) before we die. Imagine we could go past that mi gosh that would be cool lol

  • Um your wrong. There have been plenty of people that have taken 13 g's sustained. Not to mention at the red bull air races they take 10 g's on the regular. And if thats not enough for you think about a bad Indy crash with g forces over 50 g's for a short time and the drivers walk away. Pwned.

  • SWCC's in the US navy also take up to 50 Gs in a short time...they have fast ass boats that go up to 40 knots man those things go fucking sky high..they have like million dollar seats on the boat to help absorb it.

  • not only is 50 g's impossible to live through, it is impossible to get to. if anything pulled 50 g's it would be ripped to shreds in a instant.

50 times the force of gravity??? come on...

  • they are not sustained G's...look it up before you try to start an argument

  • i don't have to look it up, my dad flies f22's for a living. he told me that it is impossible to survive up to 10 g's without a G suit. even with it, 15 is max 'till you black out

  • yea im sure your dad flies F-22s...if he did you would know the difference between SUSTAINED G'S AND QUICK AND SUDDEN G'S, ffs kid...stfu

  • go to google, type in images col patrick marshall

there he is 2 years ago when he was the ops group commander at LAFB, va. he isn't the commander there anymore, b/c its only a 2 year term

  • why are you revisiting an argument 2 months old...i gave you my point about the difference between sustained and non sustained G's, ur dad is not a pilot, because if he was you WOULD FUCKING KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!

  • awesome vid, i should be able to see this beauty for myself at RIAT in july. Great camera work. If you have the time, check out some of my own plane vids.

  • Love the fish hook turn, 3:40. Righteous!

  • 3:40 holy shite !!!!

  • man that was awesome that must have been like 9g's

  • amazing

Obama plans on ordering 80 more

  • WOW what a lift and turn so awesome.... just crazy!!!!! never seen anything like that in my life..

  • Wait i thought that the 2008 RAF in Fairford was cancelled due to lots of rain or was this just the practice or something before the rain came?????

  • this was filmed on the monday after the cancelled show.

    cheers lee.

  • if you like filming this airplane, you should get tickets to the Paris Air Show for the 2009 demo year. Just a hint!

  • Thanks for the hint :-) the Raptor is set to return to Raf Fairford this coming July :-).

  • brand new info...nothing is in concrete right now but thing are possible!

  • Wow. Even flying the pattern the F-22 looks lethal. Nothing I've ever seen comes close.

  • I'm sure they enjoyed it, much the way I would enjoy watching a Sukhoi demo here in the sates.

  • Lol I live in America I have one question What did you guys think of this American Ingenuity?

  • Wow, didn't see any burners in those turns.

  • 3:40 to 3:43 madness

  • tightest turn there is man lawl

  • Yea - I'm watching this again...Amazing! Thx for the cool vid, 264! (By the way, how come I can't have 35000lbs x2 thrust & supercruise in my honda accord?...)

  • "y the way, how come I can't have 35000lbs x2 thrust & supercruise in my honda accord?."

same reason why when I fix one thing with my honda accord, something else breaks

  • I got bored of that noob missing 2 approaches, lol. They should have got someone who could fly the raptor. Or maybe he was good and just wanted to spend more time in the baby by faking misssed approaches.

  • I got to go over to the hanger on the other side of the runway with the three of them in there, it was kickass ! Impressive looking birds.

  • Quick ?,..does anything come even CLOSE to this thing performance wise?

  • Not sure i thought Typhoon was impressive until i saw the F22!!:)

  • -"Not sure i thought Typhoon was impressive until i saw the F22!!:)"

Just out of curiosity, are you the "Oh my god... that's ridiculous" guy we hear in the background?

    :)

The instantenous pitch rates the F-22 can achieve are indeed "ridiculous" (e.g. @ 3:40).

You guys are lucky to see these birds (incl. the EF) fly "in person." All I have are these YouTube vids. :(

  • Hi there thanks for the comment.

No that was not me not sure who it was although my camcorder has a brill mic which picks up all sound around :).

Glad you enjoy the vids have a look through some of my other vids you will find some of the Rafs Typhoon and the Aircraft that is causing all the fuss here in the UK this year the return of the mighty Avro Vulcan!! :)

    Cheers Lee.

  • I also thought Dan Robinson's comments (RAF exchange pilot who flies F-22s) were interesting. Go to youtube. com/ watch?v=vZ-Mfd6K6CI
