The Murphys aren't Irish. The Murphys are from Quincy, Massachusetts, USA. They base themselves on Irish folk music.

Yes, they are indeed irish, but the bagpipes go well with this video. Plus, the Great Highland Bagpipes, which the Dropkick Murphys use, were invented in Scotland.
