  • i like how this was posted on Nov. 10th what about thanksgiving! : ) jk I LOVE CHRISTMAS TOO

  • oh my god!! I'm eating candy cane joe joes right now!! I love those things, I swear they are the best creation ever. *munch*

  • Wait, you just talked about happy you were for Christmas, then you ended with "Happy Holidays". What happened to Merry Christmas?

  • Ya, right on. I am already excited about Christmas 2010. Christmas EVE is actually a holiday day becuase Christmas is on Saturday, so more people will be able to get to see family with a three day weekend.

  • What's going on with your hand? :{

  • I completely agree with you! I can't wait until after thanksgiving. People are happy, it's lovely.

  • Whats thanksgiven

  • @SIizzIer1 I'm not American or anything, but I think 'Thanksgiving' is a holiday they celebrate there. I don't think they give presents, all I know is that they eat turcey and.. be.. thankful? For.. something? I dunno

  • I'm not a big fan of christmas, but I don't mind when people put out their decorations in... August.

  • I lvoe Christmas too! Though I think September is a bit too ealy, November is fiiiiine!

  • I love Christmas. I vote in agreement with everything this video.

  • Yeah, can't say I discourage liberal amounts of Christmas spirit. It's the liberal spending that I have conflict with...

Glad to see you're spreading the joy that are CCJJ's.

Looooove you Kaylerzzz. Seriously soon, we are all going to have such an epic tokbox party. Thanksgiving break maybe.

  • So I was watching TV the other day and there was a commercial for ABC Family. They were advertising a countdown until the 25 days of Christmas. A countdown for a countdown. I love Christmas, too, but isn't THAT extreme?!

  • happy holidays to you too

  • A monkey wrench in the works of your brilliant plan:

No Trader Joe's where I live. Tragic, isn't it? I know.

  • I've been planning Christmas presents for a couple of weeks now. Never too early. Never ever.

  • @whykitsy True that. It's never too early. I think I start automatically looking for presents at about March.

  • The second halloween is over, the mall down the street from me already has the chrismas decorations up. I love it!

  • I'm admittedly scared of Christmas this year. I'm about to turn 16, so I'm getting to that age where I'm expected to get everyone Christmas prestents. The only problem is, I HAVE NO MONEY! How am I supposed to get thoughtful presents for my mom, my step-dad, my dad, and my step-mom? And that's not even counting my 4 brothers and sisters or my grandparents.

Christmas is stressful, I never even knew.

  • peppermint jojos!!! ah I want some now D: and I agree..christmas time is the best :)

  • When I saw the thumbnail for this video, I thought you were meekakitty. I hope you take that as a compliment!

  • Same here!

  • :D I'm not crazy!

  • christmas = good. christmas makes me happy but see, i don't like that thanksgiving gets skipped over like that. i mean, it's an American thing, that we can ALL celebrate. not only that, but it's a time to get together as well and we can eat great food, watch football and have fun. it's just as great as christmas but it gets looked over and that's why i wait until after thanksgiving to celebrate christmas.

  • Christmassy stuff generally starts getting sold in the shops around September every year and this has been the case for ages. And every year people say "Christmas stuff already? Really? It's only September!" Oh well. Get used to it. ;-)

  • unless your family doesn't get together for christmas anymore. it's not fun. the ONLY good thing that you are right about is starbucks christmas cups and keebler jingle cookies!

  • i dont like that the christmas season starts so early because there are so many november birthdays (including mine and like 4 of my friends') and id rather think of november as birthday season lol

  • my problem is that usually it's stores

and then the novelty of Christmas wears off by around thanksgiving, and I'm sick of it. and then it's no fun.

  • I love your Hand motions. And you have great points.

  • Candy Cane JoJo's. Theee best. My family always buys about 10 boxes at the beginning of the season to sustain us for months, because they go so fast.

  • food tho a month earlier goes off and is a waste that my only beef about it

  • I like the spirit :D P.S. that looked like an Oreo, but what does it taste like?!

  • like an oreo with candy cane pieces and extra happiness.

  • The people who live in the apartment across from my school have their christmas tree already.

    It makes me excited.

  • I lve Christmas 2 !! =D

  • When I think of Christmas I think of the fact that international bankers have purposely destroyed the "economy" and left me and many others out in the fucking cold and we can't buy anything for our families. Which fills me with rage. So i'm gonna stop thinking about christmas.

  • weird, i was imaginary christmas shopping last night. gotta love the lack of money <33

  • i can't wait for christmas, sitting down in front of the T.V., eating turkey and watch Doctor Who, that truly is my idea of heaven (except that DT is leaving) xx lol

    CHRISTMAS FEVER =D

  • AAAAHH!

20 seconds in creepy back hand! D:

  • DDDD:

  • It is behind my arm, gaaah.

  • Yeah I know.

I thought it was funny, even though it was behind your back you kept gesturing. I've got some Italian ancestry so I can't talk without waving my hands. :\

  • Lol, I'm already done Christmas shopping! :-)

Also, chocolate covered/dipped Jojo's are the BEST!

  • It's not only in America, it's the same here (Belgium): Christmas gets 'displayed' sooner every year. (And secretly I love it!)

  • YAY!!! Starbucks red cups!!!

  • i completely agree. i love Christmas! i tweeted about drinking a peppermint mocha and listening to christmas music. and i was bombarded with animosity towards it being too early. nonsense.

  • I've been excited for Christmas since the day after Christmas last year!

  • I'm so pro christmas - I have to fight to hold my excitement until after halloween, but the fact business are pushing Christmas sooner, is a little concerning because to me that is an economic indicator businesses are suffering, showing consumers don't have money, which will raise holiday stress, especially for parents, and tha'ts not so jolly... :( I love christmas, but this one might be a very sad one for a lot of people...

  • Yay! Also exited, I even made a gingerbread house yesterday...=) Oh, and also, it's been snowing all day. I feel like that is coming sooner too.

  • The reason I am a little annoyed about the holiday music and shows playing already is because it isn't even thanksgiving yet and it just seems to take away from that holiday...and hearing about Christmas a lot is just overwhelming haha. But Christmas IS awesome...when it is time for xmas.

  • I'm excited for Christmas. I keep singing Christmas songs.

  • Yay CHRISTMAS! I totally agree, but my parents get pretty freaked when they see 10 foot fake trees in the middle of the Hallooween display!

  • Christmas FTW!

  • agreeeeeeeeeeeeee:))

  • Thias video just made me so happy hahah :)

    Love you!

  • did you say "christmas"? I'm offended. You'll be hearing from my lawyers.

  • hahaha, it's like public high school! xD

    I swear, I meant "winter solstice!" :P

  • actually it's summer where I am. so, I'm offended again! :p

  • Here in Japan, Christmas-time starts mid-October at the latest. I love it. :)

  • i love everything about christmas =))

    43 sleeps to go

  • My Dad's Jewish so I have to put up the decorations on the front of the house, cause he wont then in my room, which is the old school "play room." I get to celebrate Chrismakah. And it goes from looking like christmas and cheerfull on oneside and halloweeny on the other. Shush, it's the only holidays I celebrate. :p <3

  • I agree! Yay, Christmas!

  • While I love Christmas and the Christmas season, it gets on my nerves just a little tiny bit just because Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday and it tends to get overlooked by all you Christmas people.

    But I still love Christmas

  • I

    WANT

    CANDY CANE

    JOE-JOES.

  • I've stopped celebrating every holiday... gift giving is expensive!

  • so don't give gifts! make them, write letters, it doesn't have to be about money.

  • The huge Santa Claus parade here happens this weekend, so that's kind of the beginning of Christmas for me. Hope you have an epic holiday this year Kayley.

  • christmas time=doctor who :)

but not here in the u.s. :|

  • When you work at Hallmark you don't want Christmas to start till after thanksgiving. We put out ornaments in july. It's crazy.

  • preach it, sister.

  • I totally agree. I love Christmas season. And I want to know what a jojo is.

  • It's the cookie I eat in the video, haha.

  • yeah there from trader joes I think

  • I don't mind when it's a shop decorating their window to show their excitement, it's when shops start selling things like decorations and stockings in August, IT'S FRICKING AUGUST!

Anywho, rant over, new episode of Doctor Who soon!

  • Anyone else this the countdown to the countdown to 25 days of christmas is redundant and stupid?

  • it's silly, yeah. but hey, if they've got enough christmas material, might as well use it. just a ridiculous concept xD

  • I love christmasss it one of my fave holidays, but its absolutely no fair that its taking up thanks giving space!!!!! thats my absolute fave holiday and my birthday.

well when i think november i think thanksgiving, prolly one of the best holidays in the world, december is for X-mas!!!!

  • I don't disregard Thanksgiving, but there isn't music and colours and anything really to show excitement towards for me. I prefer Christmas and don't think the spirit of Christmas should be tired to a calender month.

Plus, I am a vegetarian, so the whole turkey dinner/feast is lost on me xD

  • oh and kayley warm 106.9 start a month earlier this year. Oh the holidays. That cheesy womans voice makes my day when I listen to the station.

  • Seriously? Damn. Haha, her stories always make my mom cry.

  • Lol yeah my mom to but growing up with her it is just kinda funny how she completely understands every singe story. it kind of makes me think what has this woman been through lol. So are you going to the nerdfighter meeting is seattle?

  • I really love your name....I wish I'd thought of it first lol :D

  • Thanks, my birthday is on the fourth of july so it fits. I like your name too. Totally true. Some people ask what filibuster is and I tell them to go google it.

  • OH MY GOD! i cant even explain how much i agree with you on this! i freaking LOVE christmas and i get really excited really early. and everyones like "megan. its not even halloween yet" and "its all about commercialism now" but im just like ITS A HAPPY TIME PEOPLE! STOP BEING SO CYNICAL. just sayin

  • you are so right! i hate how everyone is like "ITS TO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS!" eridf'givp;lrkjgf

  • Christmas is my favorite too. I was starting to think I was the only one.

  • 0:18

My brain isn't understanding how your hand is behind your body. Are you sitting in front of a mirror or something? But then none of your other gestures are being reflected...

    Oh and also,

    W000 CHRISTMAS :)

  • i THINK her left arm is between her body and her right arm. . . i think. i think her right arm is on her knee...

that's the only explanation i could come up with that makes any amount of sense...

  • my hand is behind my other arm...

  • @owlssayhooot

oooh okay I get it now. xD

Like, in front of your body but behind the arm.

Sorry about that. I didn't realise you were wearing rings on both hands. I just saw the ring and got a little freaked out.

  • Hahahaha, don't worry about it. It does look odd.

  • I'm a 'stanta's helper' at one of those photography things, and we started on November 6th! A tad early to be taking public transport in christmas clothes but what the hey! this job makes me get into the christmas spirit and I love it. might not love it so much when the crowds increase but for now, it's pretty good.

    I'm with you!

  • Hahah christmas is great. Technically, I'm Jewish but my whole family agrees that Christmas is just so worth celebrating that it doesn't really matter. :P

  • christmas is real nice, but you won't be so overjoyed when you're older and have to spend $2000 on gifts - money you may not have :/

  • Agreed! I love Christmas so much! Starbucks red cups <3

  • I just think that the stores should hold off until after Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day. They're a special day to honour the people who have died for our countries, and I feel that it kind of gets lost when stores start decorating and playing music.

Other than that, I agree with you, Christmas is amazing.

  • I'm Atheist but the biggest Xmas nerd ever, it's like my favorite tome of the year! Still, I think I can only celebrate it when the lights are turned on or when the advent calendar starts!

  • *droolz* candycanejoejoessssssssss

  • I celebrate chanukah and I get the whole "christmas is a happy time" and I do think people are nicer and happier, BUT

why do they have to play christmas music 24/7 on every radio station the second that december starts and then well after christmas is over? Even if I did celebrate christmas I would get sick of it.

  • Best part about Christmas: Tons of Egg Nog and "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown"

  • Starbucks red cups <3

Chrstimas is AWESOME. Best holiday ever, the soon the spirt gets going, the better :)

  • ah i have always loved it when the christmas coca cola adverts come out :) that used to get me really excited when i was younger, idk why aha :)

  • I love Christmas and I am already so pumped for it!

  • I love Christmas too! I sing Christmas songs year round, because I love it so much. It's just such a happy holiday, and the world just becomes nicer at Christmas time.

  • I agree with this vlog. I agree.

  • I was listening to christmas music today. :)

  • I may have put up my Christmas lights in mid October... (and when I say "I may have" I mean I most definitely did).

I love Christmas! It's so wonderful. This video was wonderful too and I couldn't agree with you more. People should stop complaining. We can't help it if our Christmas spirit can't be contained in one month!

One thing I would change about the holiday, however, is the fact that they stop sending you the Toys R Us Big Book in the mail when you reach a certain age.

  • No, all those companies just know Christmas is the big money making season and want to get started "early" and "cheery" honestly, it's not because they're peppy, it's because they're COMPANIES and love the media Christmas season

don't get me wrong i ADORE Christmas time

but i adore Christmas time in December, and November just should be about giving THANKS

    has everyone forgotten about that?

  • Giving thanks and spreading joy sort of go hand in hand, no?

  • just because i think November should be celebrated as its OWN month, and not like an extended December, dosen't mean i don't love Christmas

    but guys NOVEMBER IS NOVEMBER

i HATE Christmas advertising as early as, what, NOVEMBER 10th!??

  • Christmas isn't a synonym for December. I don't think that November isn't its own month and I don't think the Christmas spirit should be restricted by the calender.

  • i'm an athiest, who grew up in a mostly jewish household. but i love christmas time because it makes everyone happy and peaceful for a little while.

... i'm not sure i'll feel that way for long, though, since i work at a christmas store. hahaha.

  • I'm an Atheist, as well. You can enjoy the happiness without needing a reason for doing so! :)

  • Christmas is AMAZING!

I know what you mean! My mom always complains about Christmas decor coming up so early...

    Can't wait!

    Oh!

Also, if we wanted to send you something, what address would we use??

    Thank you! :D

  • I love christmas also, i just think thanksgiving is being over looked, and as americans i think we take too much for granted and REALLY need a day set aside for being thankful for everything we have

    peppermint jojos are the best

  • agreed.

  • I'm a Jew at a Christian Collage Prep School and I have no problem with the holiday in general, my problem is with the lovely christmas carols admiting from my loud and musical frineds, no offence guys, but really? I want youj to be happy about Christmas, but I not THAT happy. Plus, as much as I love peppermint, the rearest trader joes is 2-3 hours away so...

  • Finally! Someone who isn't complaining about christmas!

Loved the video - it cheered me up

  • Did anyone else notice the awkward random hand at 0:18 ish? What was that?

I love Christmas because I love snow and I love holiday food. Happy times :)

  • It's because my arms are crossed and that hand is behind the other arm xD

  • I was so excited to go get my first gingerbread latte of the year :) and mince pies.. yumm

  • Me personally being an atheist and my family being Jewish makes it kind of hard for me to understand the whole Christmas thing. And the hatred I have for it is probably jealously because to be honest I kind of wish i got to experience the whole thing because all of the happiness. I just celebrated it last year by drinking a peppermint mocha, downloading Doctor Who christmas specials and reading Let it Snow xD I'll probably do that again this year...

  • I dont really enjoy christmas day myself, but i enjoy the ambience around christmas. The days leading up to it, the movies. As ive got older the day itself has lost its magic but December hasnt.

  • Agreed, actually. I don't hype up for the day itself (though I still adore it), but the excitement around it.

  • Yay, happiness:-)

  • it's true... i used to work in a supermarket.. and one year they started putting up decorations and music before halloween like october 1st.. =_= i don't like the commercialism of xmas but the meaning of it.. is nice.

  • I love christmas too. I just don't like how some people feel like its all about getting gifts. I mean, I enjoy getting presents, who doesn't? What I really like about christmas is the snow, hot chocolate, sitting by the fireplace, christmas caroling, everyone being happy, and all of that corny stuff :D

  • Agreed, those are the best parts, but I do love GIVING gifts :)

  • I don't like Christmas... I don't have a 'proper' family here so it's pretty depressing. Last year I went to 7/11 and bought a pie and ate it in my apartment by myself. Fun.

  • I'm with you on that. Some part of me feels it's a little too early, but if people are excited, what right do I have to complain?

  • THANK you :D

  • I love Christmas, too, but I saw a Christmas commercial on Halloween... during a showing of "Halloween" on cable. x_x No, I do not want to get my Christmas shopping done, Walmart. Don't you know Michael Meyers is out there somewhere?!

  • I love Christmas, and I can't wait for it to come. I'm going to travel to celebrate with my girlfriend and her family, and we're going to have a Christmas classics movie marathon. I'm so excited.

  • aw, that sounds lovely :)

  • But Christmas isn't a time for happiness everywhere. There are places that they don't really care that it's christmas. It just means longer working hours for still barely any pay. Christmas has become a time of exploitation and not family values.

Don't like to put a damper on peoples feelings towards the season, just wanted to point that out.

  • Which is why I said that it is about happiness for me.

And that isn't true for everyone.

  • I didn't say for everyone, just that that is the reason I find it hard to be happy at christmas.

But don't get me wrong, everyone has something that excites them. I'm not criticizing you at all. Those were my own view points entirely. :)

  • I feel bad for Thanksgiving

    Christmas is stealing its thunder

  • I don't eat turkey, so it has little charm for me xD

  • Glad to see someone else as excited as I am...I adore christmas to the point that you will often catch me watching christmas movies in the summer and if I am sad I ALWAYS put on christmas music hahaha Christmas is the one day of the year that I am always happy to see come around =D SO EXCITED!

  • i think its toooooo early.

and jo jos are fantastic xD

  • And of course since 2005 there has been a special program every christmas day.

Yep. Every Christmas day at least one channel is showing a Harry Potter movie.

What? WHO did you think I was on about?

  • shops aren't necessarily excited, they just want to sell... and the more useless crap the shops display, the more useless crap people will buy.

I just hate to see people buy stuff that they simply don't need... at all... and later on they realize that they totally didn't have the money to buy that... or there are all the rich people that simply keep on buying stuff, while they could have given the money to a charity.. why do we buy stuff? why not make something for someone else?

  • not everything is crap. and I get and give donations to charity for Christmas all of the time.

shops only exist to make money, so they do what gets them money. I don't understand why it has to be such a big deal that they bring Christmas stuff out early. They do what supervisors tell them and what they have to do to stay open.

You don't have to buy stuff there; no one is telling you to. Besides, like I said, it's not about the money and the gifts. It's the happiness it gives ME.

  • well.. I'm glad it makes you happy :D

I just don't like all the fuzz around it. Believe me, if you had to spent Christmas with my aunt every year, you would start disliking it as well :p

I like Christmas in itself, I like being with my family,... I guess I'm just frustrated about my aunt, and now I work that frustration out on Christmas... poor Christmas.. and of course not everything is crap, I do realise that I sounded really gloom... so in the end I'm glad with your happiness about x-mas :D

  • It does seem like the shops start it earlier and earlier, but I came to wonder... It's not like the shops will suddenly start already in october or september. They probably just start the same time every year. :)

    ---

Anyway, I like Christmas. And tomorrow I'll watch A Christams Carol with my sister in the cinema. It's not too soon. :)

  • I start to be excited for christmas on December 1st, when I open the first door of my christmas calendar. No christmas decoration is going to change that.

  • When i think of christmas i think of a really depressing time for working class parents and the biggest time of the year for break ups, i think of a ridiculous holiday were toy companies screw people out of money and i think of a shitty Christian adaptation of a pagan festival.

  • I love Christmas and getting excited about it, but the adverts annoy me a bit because some of them are terrible (in England anyway) and we're stuck with them for another 2 months! I like thinking about what I'm going to get for people though, because that's what it's all about! <3

  • I walked into the mall and I saw the tree up o.0. It was November 1...

But it just made me more excited. Fa la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaa!

  • YEAAHHH NEARLYY CHRISTMASS :D

  • 0:23 Creepy hand poking out from the background.

  • haha my arms are crossed and that's the hand in back of the other arm xD

  • It's fine to be excited for it, but the problem I have with them loading out all the christmas stuff at the start of November is that I love christmas, and by the time that December 25th comes round I'm starting to feel a little... desensitized by it. :(

  • The title of this video already makes me happy, I was only thinking this yesterday :D

    *watches video*

Ah! Now I am more excited. Never mind the bad weather :D

  • yayyy kayley i love you for posting this video :) it put me right back into the christmas spirit! what do you think about christmas music? for me, that's what really tells me it's the holidays

  • yesss! <3

  • Good point!

I just hope Christmas doesn't become less exciting due to us drawing out the duration, less unique and special, y'know?

Personally, I'm not going to start playing the Christmas music till December 10th. Approximately :P

  • yayyyy i love christmas time!!! i especially cant wait for it this year, because im a freshman in college and it will be the first time i'll get to see a lot of my friends again. IM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO MULTITUDES OF CHRISTMAS PARTIES. and the mention of starbucks made me really happy... they always have the best seasonal drinks :]]] YAYYYYYY!!!! CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm not against people being excited for Christmas early, but I am a little annoyed with some of the media/shopping problems... I don't really enjoy turning on the TV in October to see a news story about" how to make _____ for Christmas dinner!" Or walking into the store to look for a Halloween costume (or other non-Christmas stuff) and seeing ornaments, trees, and wrapping paper. And as much as I like Christmas music, I also don't enjoy hearing only those same few songs for three monthes. x_X

  • It's weird i started getting excited in July! Christmas FTW

  • Comment removed

  • Putting out Xmas displays before Thanksgiving should be illegal. It diminishes the specialness of the holiday. I prefer to celebrate Yule myself.

  • Then never work retail! I love Christmas, but I HATE hearing the same 3 CDs over and over and over and over again starting in October now. Then I hate the fact that our stuff comes out so soon because by December we've sold out of half our Christmas stock because the company won't send us more!

  • I definitely get sick of the music.

But I was SUPER excited for my first Starbuck's red cup of the year. :]

  • Its not winter yet. and thats when it should start. Autumn should be for Halloween, Veterans day (Remembrance day) and if your british, Bonfire Night. So get back to your own season Christmas.

  • It isn't about the season, it's about the HAPPINESS. Don't be so grumpy about it :P

  • How come Advent starts on December 1st then?

  • The spirit of a holiday isn't determined by a calender, in my opinion.

  • Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year!

I have no problem with the celebrations getting earlier and earlier, it's just another excuse to eat peppermint flavored things and watch abc family's Christmas specials (which by the way they have actually already started showing)

  • Hahaha I love it. It's a countdown to a countdown on ABC Family xD

  • I get to hate christmas in Dec, if I get in the whole christmas-mood in November!!:D

  • me too. So I force my self to hate it in November instead. It feels more special then.

  • agree.!:D

  • I saw this and felt immense happiness. I'm not the only one getting SUPER excited for christmas early. YAY!

  • Nice vid :D.

  • The holidays are such a happy time. ^^

It totally feels like it gets earlier every year. Soon, we'll be celebrating Christmas in August.

Or next year's Christmas the day after Christmas. xD
