A great vocal performance, though I will agree that the songs soul is dark and emotional,there attempt at creating an original cover was admirable,but did take away from the core feel of the vocal.Very difficult to better,or even match a Gibb production,but an excellent job for better or worse.

The band is too "jazzed" up as well, takes away the somber feel, that love feeling. This is modern love: fast with no feeling. But her voice is remarkable for sure, just a shame they fucking butched such a great song to show it off!

Love how Regine sang this in a more upbeat tempo, but still keeping her beautiful legato. Incredible singer. And as usual, her high notes are incomparable. Difficult to pull off but she makes it look effortless.

Regine Velasquez is widely known for the solidity of her upper register, and yet here she has to do enormous efforts to reach the upper notes, which often sound hoarse and ragged.

A pity, really, because I know that she is capable of singing much better. Maybe she was ill when this performance took place?

She sounds like a pop starlet trying to measure up to the song, rather than the consumate professional that we all know she is.
