still cant make my mind up about the phonics i should love them i.e great singer/guitarist,wicked songs, good lyrics and they seem to get better with age,yet i couldnt put them up there with great brit guitar bands of the past decade i.e oasis,stone roses,verve etc dont know why.

I think it's down to the way they have been portrayed by the media.

They have always been put down by the press, especially after Mr.Writer... they could bring out the best material in the world, people would still hate them.

They have become a very low-key band, probably because of this reason, but the real fans still love them.
