  • Finally an awesome Alisha Video ! The others scary ! lol

  • Killer song and video.

  • I found her tape in my drawer and after all these years i wish the radio stations would just play her songs again. I miss cruisin to her songs and just hanging out with a radio and the friends, great dancing song.

  • BTW, this song was written by a former KCC fellow alumni who also graduated at the same time as me back on June, 1988.

  • One of the best voices of her time.

  • This is an old favorite, but the problem with this song is the lyric "Into Love" doesn't work well, both on its own and with her pronunciation. For years, I thought the lyric was "You're too low". LOL. But you have to love that second verse. Great pop lyrics. :-)

  • You've got to love Alisha, it was great being in your twenties during the eighties!

  • sorry, it's not worth the risk of hurting again

  • jr high years,haha

  • This is the original version of Bounce Back......Martika"s version was sang from a group called Fire On Blonde

  • Just awesome, the driving beat and energy of this recording! Loved it then, still love it now!

  • Alisha and Martika are friends. Maritka sang backup for Alisha on this album. Alisha has one of the most amazing voices and only sings live. Check her out on Myspace to hear some of her other songs.

  • The Martika version was an extended remix on the record from Bounce Back.....and it was from a group called Fire On Blonde

  • Always loved her, this is fabulous oh thanks so much, now get up and dance!!!!! Kathy G

  • alisha is great and she will always be

  • Checkout Alisha on MySpace for more info!!!

  • She Lip Synched Her whole career..

  • Awesome song!!

  • she looks beautiful unlike in the video of "Baby talk"

  • OMG...I didn't know they had a video to this song...I love Alisha...I use to wear out her first Album, then her Second, and then her Third...She was always unique and that's what I loved about her...I still have the vinyl from the 80's of All Night Passion her first single and hit followed by Baby Talk and Too Turned On...Love it...Thanks for Posting...

  • Wow,this song is just AMAZING! Love the drums, and the vocalist Alisha is very talented.

  • high quality video, surprising, good song...san jose california

  • Man this takes me back.Listening to this and Keedy's "Save Some Love."

  • i love keedys save some love

  • I love this song

  • she looks great there, she wasnt so hot in the mid 80s in my opinion - her look was all wrong, but she matured into quite a hotty

  • Alisha is one of those wonderful hidden gems of the 80s... Incredible voice, but in an age where image began to trump talent.

  • image can only go so far, thamsdr28. Eventually they have to have something to back up that image. That is why beautiful girls in the movies rarely get more than a few lines, and only stand there for eye candy. Some actually have both beauty and talent, but the majority don't. That is why Pamela Anderson isn't taken seriously as an actress, but Rebecca Romijn is. Food for thought

  • Alisha's look is exactly what I liked about her! She looked normal AND could sing better than most everyone on the charts.

  • True. Sorry about the mispelling of your name. But what's normal nowadays, right? Well, as far as the 80's go big hair was in for women. 80's rocked.

  • is there an mp3 out there for this? I love this!

  • Alisha is sooooooooo cool. This is a great dance classic. I saw her at Danceteria too. Wow.

  • Great song. Love her vocals on this one. The video is very good too.

  • Love this one!!!! She looks and sounds FANTASTIC!!!!! The guys are sexy as hell, too!!!!!

  • Danceteria must have been her joint, because I knew people when I was in High School in Levittown (NY) who used to go there around '86and see her. Maybe it was under 21 night, or maybe the drinking age hadn't been changed yet. She was cool.

  • Does anyone have or know where I can get this song and/or a better quality video of this song?

  • I GOT THIS WHOLE CD.

  • Cool....is there a way to share this song?

  • God, I saw her at Danceteria, she was great...no lip-syncing, her voice was STRONG!

  • How long ago was that?

  • LOL, Oh God, middle 80's or so.

  • what is she doing now days? is she still performing?

  • Martika and Donna Delory (Madonna's backup singer) were also Alisha's backup singers on the "Bounce Back" album. Visit Alisha's site for more info.

  • visit alisha's myspace page for more info

  • it's such a shame. Alisha get's lumped in as a madonna wannabee. She was just as big in the clubs at the time,,or maybe bigger

  • Sucks Ash had taking the next step but by this time the racists thug scumbags had extorted control of mtv and already begone their perverted conversion of an all American rock channel! GRRRR I still can hear the quotes of the founder of mtv when the rent a mob pigs said "its a racists channel no blacks" and the CEO answered " This channel is targeted towards middle American R&R kids" Lesson NEVER BOW TO RENT A MOB THUGS !!!!!!

  • I love this song and video ! :) Great memories :)

  • A superb vocalist. She had great dance songs that should've gotten airplay as they were released. I remember her songs being played in mixes but not individually. "Bounce Back" was given airplay;finally Alisha received the attention when she should've been given it on the radio years-back in the early 80's.

  • ha ha - hot!

  • Martika did a version of this song as well personly hers sounded better then this one but i have to say alisha sang it better

  • wow, are you certain Martika did a version of Bounce Back?

I know for certain Martika did a cover of "Cross My Heart" originally by Eighth Wonder.

hey I believe you though, after Googling I see Martika provided the backing vocals for Alisha's 'Kiss Me Quick'.

while I love the song Bounce Back, I never would have thought it was popular enough to be covered-- then again, many great yet mostly forgotten song actually do get covered so in my mind it's possible.

  • if u look on yout tube type in martika bounce back she did it as a demo in 1987

  • This song was orginally recorded by the group Fire on Blonde, an obscure dance-pop/urban contemporary group that recorded some noteworthy singles in the 1980s. Fire on Blonde recorded two 12" singles in 1987: "Wrong Number" on Atlantic and "Bounce Back" on the TSR-distributed Spinn label. Both songs were written and produced by Michael Jay, who used them a second time when he produced dance-pop singer Alisha's Bounce Back album for MCA in 1990.

  • @turbografx Yes, Martika did sing a version of Bounce Back and it did sound better. Martika was not yet as poplular as she became later in MTV. The good old days!

  • @turbografx type Entertainment 80 Ryan Samans, Martika singing "Bounce Back" here on you tube, enjoy!

  • @turbografx search "Martika Bounce Back" right here on YouTube. The production is sloppy, but her voice is great, as always.

  • remember her on Dance Party usa...and anknown dancer named kelly ripa?

  • i grew up in the Philadelphia / South Jersey area and they always used to play this on Q102FM .. i even got to see her perform in one of their many summer concerts

  • I've never seen this video but we spun Alisha's music A LOT on Wow-FM in Upstate New York. She performed at one of our summer concerts. I had the chance to meet her and she is top notch. I wish her continued success.

  • Alisha had issues back in the day being tagged as another "Madonna wannabee" but she is an "original one"! She's THE BEST!!!!!!

  • It seemed Alisha, Regina("Baby Love") and Stacey Q were lumped together as sounding like Madonna. But Alisha preceeded Madonna. When really listen to all of them, they have their own distinctive sound-vocally and styiistically.

  • alisha DID NOT preceed madonna, madonnas first release was 1982s "everybody" a huge club hit and a minor radio hit in new york. alishas "baby talk" eerily sounds like madonnas "into the groove" thats why she was lumped into the madonna wanna-be category.

  • wow, I had no idea. I'll have to find the original version then. thanks for the info sirtoa

  • That's my favorite video that I'd watched when I was little.

  • I have the vinyl single of this from 1990!! I've never seen the video. Looks dated obviously but the songs sounds just as good!

  • What happened to the remix version? I thought the producer had posted it. Please repost! It's MUCH better than this since it's got the Justin Strauss touch.

  • I loved Bounce Back! I performed it in drag during the period - in Toronto, Buffalo and Rochester. Was so fun and the audience loved it! I LOVE this track to this day.

  • You go girl! Alisha forever!

  • Thanks for posting ! Awesome memories ! Getting dressed up going out with my ultra sexy gf ! Hey Marybeth what ever happened to you ???

  • Thanks for the post ! Wow ! What memories Going out getting dressed up with my ultra hot girlfriend Hey Marybeth where are ya ? *Kisses* at the time ! Damn those were some fun times ! Unlike the freakazoid times of today !

  • i never seen this video i remember it from a movie called screwball hotel in 1990 havnt hard it since then thanks the net truly has everything

  • i liek this song its probley one of her best its very dancey and late 80's early 90's sounding i still dont see why it wasent a hit :( i love the beat to it

  • i got this whole album on cd. anyone want a FREE copy message me and ill make you one. no fee. :-)

  • Alisha's voice was the best of those three, IMO. even though Debbie Gibson and Tiffany are both very talented. Yeah, It's too bad that the Bounce Back album didn't do very well.

  • Alisha never had her career take off. She was just as talented as the other young girls in the 80's like Debbie Gibson or Tiffany and all three of her albums had highly entertaining songs. Her songs were even featured in the movie Manaquin starring Kim Cattrel but things just never took off for her. Shame she had the talent just not the stardom.

  • I heard the song a lot over the radio in its heyday, but I never saw the face of the artist behind it. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Visit the ALISHA website at http://www.alishafans.com for LIVE performance schedule, pictures, and news.

  • Part Two: Alisha was a real trooper. She spent 12 hours in this getting battered with the wind, sand, sun and other elements. I don't know how she made it but she did. Great artist who

never completely got her due and more importantly a wonderful person. Brian

  • Brian, does she have a website now? What does she do now? I'd love to send her an email(fan letter) :)

  • Were you her manager when she came out with "Baby Talk" and "All Night Passion"(I have the old 12"). The record label has Vanguard as being the record company and Rick Tarbox I guess was the song writer. That was a big move Alisha did signing w/ MCA. Any insights would be welcomed.

  • Part One: I was Alisha's manager during this time and had the displeasure of being on

this video set. It was shot out near Edwards Air Force base. We were told to prepare for extreme heat, sun and rattlesnakes. However, the air was COLD and the Wind was brutal. What you see is real wind, not machines. The sun reflecting off the lake bed caused us all to burn.

  • Wow so cool you were part of the team?

  • I have All night Passion posted. Just click on my user name!

  • was there ever a video for "all night passion"?

  • there might be, I dunno. I've never seen it.

I'd imagine there would be since 'All Night Passion' of the mid 80s was a far, FAR bigger hit than

    'Bounce Back' of 1990.

  • didn't she have a song in the early 80's called "all night passion"? would be great if someone would post the video to that

  • yeah, if you saw my full description/comments for the video, you'll see that I mentioned she is the one that also sang "All Night Passion", that song came out at, the beginning of the mid-1980s...

'All Night Passion' was first released in '84

  • I love that song I bought her Cd a cpl yrs back with the remix cut.
