@elvisesau my camera increases the contrast so it seems that the blacks are deeper and colours are more vivid. Before buying this monitor i would suggest seeing it in person. Also whichever screen you using to view this video, its hard to see how good a monitor is at showing its spectrum of colors and the accuracy

Got myself the U2212HM yesterday and am so unhappy. The screen is amazing but it looks like there is dirt on it which seems to be an IPS thing in this price class. If you look at whites on this one are they plain white or is there grain?

I will connect the hdmi to this monitor and then when i connect speaker in the speaker out on the monitor will i get sound also? Please give me a link to that kind of hdmi cable. Very nice looking monitor. I plan on getting a new pc soon and I'm going to get this little baby. It will be great for the PS3 too, I've been playing GTA4 for about 3 years on PS£ and XBOX and have yet to play on a HD screen :/

@MrMartingunawan it will work with your PS3, FULL HD=1920x1080. if you have a HDMI cable you will be able to use the FULL HD :)

I just got this monitor and I really like it. The colour did seem quite washed out with my PS3 at first but there is a saturation control on the monitor. I put that up to 75 and now the colours are very vivid!

im gonna buy a full hd monitor... but many expert reviewers not recommended this monitor.. they said it have many problems like dynamic contrast ratio does not really work, worse black, bleached and washed color, blur picture and etc... thats the expert guys said... but when i read users reviews, they like this monitor, and said this is an great monitor for its price and highly recommended it.... @TheCenterofTech Also about the bad blacks,that can vary depending on the settings.Try changing the color to "Multimedia Preset".That's what I use,and it works most effectively.

@JAREDMICHALLE im being very critical towards the blacks as many LCD screens have this problem. LED , LCD are LEDS are getting better and better every year and this problem. Yes you can pick up a pair of speakers which are not expensive and will probably be better than the onboard speakers but you have to include the cost of them. i personally have my Creativ T3's which are amazing and i love them, but this screen is very good for the price you pay :)

@avsamu this particular model is WLED backing, im not 100% sure but i done think it has the Full LED set-up. There are many monitors coming on the market including the Samsung SA-950 and SA-750, both 23inch and they do look like a piece of art, they are also 3d capable to the extra money spent will go into futureproofing so you will have the screen longer :) Hope this helped !

I just ordered the 24" version of this monitor from Dell's website. It was on sale for $199. It will be replacing my 17" Dell CRT. It will be used primarily to surf the web and play YouTube videos. From what I can see, it should be more than suitable for that.

I just purchased ST2420L in other words the 24" version of this model and boy are those colors washed out I got it on sale for 199.00 thinking of returning it but the 5ms response time full hd support can't complain for price but it also has this annoying blue tint that no matter how I adjust the color doesn't go away and YES BLACK IS IT'S MAJOR WEAKNESS LOOK ELSEWHERE BETTER MONITORS FOR THIS PRICE.
