  • I could spend a week straight just looking up videos on youtube...best site ever, I think.

  • This song brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear it. It was actually a hit. It broke into the top 40. I agree about the regret you have, when you lose someone. Did you do enough to hold on to them? Should you have?

  • He sings with a very nice voice. Very Boz Scaggs :D

  • great song, one side of the audio is missing :P

  • @cb800808 Thank god you put that up...thought something was wrong with my headphones.

  • @pcgentile

LOL yeah. odd that. love your yt name. being a gentile as well. :P

  • @cb800808 Hand to god it's my actual last name. Apparently it's the equivalent of Smith or Jones in some areas of Italy. None the less...I got a lot of jokes from friends of mine who were Jewish when I was in Uni.

  • Bellisíma melodía, éxtasis total.

  • 真夜中まで、MTVを一生懸命見てた頃が懐かしい。ボビー・コールドウェルのオリジナル。

  • Great song

  • Boz Scaggs - thank you for ALL of your great work. INIMITABLE !!!

  • I've always loved LOVED this song!!!

  • great song! the video is beyond weird!

  • Welcome to VH1 Slow Dancing lol

  • hard of hearing? this isnt bozz scaggs version.

  • @egurzi who's version is it?

  • this song was written by Bobby Caldwell

  • ANYTHING BOZ does.........is Alright with Me!!! I LOVE HIM!!!

  • just a beautiful song by an incredible versatille artist...from, stuff, with Dan, David Foster, and the blues greats.... the docia doesn't end with this true genius! I would have love to see this guy in concert..this song brings tears to my eyes..it just shows that a song doesn't have to be a big seller to be a great song!

  • @nuruposter.... Thanks for posting this song. Great video, great song!

  • Losing someone you love and living the regret that you didn't do more to keep that person in your life....... We've all been there. Boz and his beautiful voice told us how it really feels! He is so talented and yet under rated! Saw him in concert a couple of weeks ago, he's still got it! He just gets better and better!! And he still looks GOOD, ladies!! I'm a long time fan, I absolutely love every thing about Boz Scaggs!

  • Boz Scaggs, one of the most underrated singers. Love his voice. Once you hear his voice you know it is him. Oh and it doesn't hurt that his song is very very good also. Love this song when I was in HS.

  • Bravo!

  • beautiful melody by mike mc donalds superb vocals

  • I'm 31 years old and I've heard lots of Boz Scaggs songs but NEVER knew who did them because I don't hear them very often any more. I heard Lido Shuffle in the grocery store 2 days ago but couldn't remember any of the words and spent a lot of time yesterday trying to find it by googling "whoa oh oh oh, oh, oh" and thinking chicago or someone did it. It was really bothering me. Finally, I got lucky and have found other long lost songs that the elusive (to me) Mr. Scaggs has done. Hooray.

  • @starbreath100 it's HOOAH!

  • One of Boz's greatest hits was Fenton Robinson's "Somebody Loan Me A Dime" in 1969 - look back to then if you want to hear some (more) great Boz.

  • fave of all time.. <3 <3

  • The 80s produced a lot of great artists what an era!

  • Boz Scaggs a great artist GREAT music.

  • William Royce hit #35 in Billboard, 6-18-88. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Just saw him in concert this summer... SEXY then, SEXY NOW!!!!!!!

  • Love the great well-built legs on the girl at 1:28 LOL!

  • What a great song...Reminds me of sitting outside late at night in the summer of 87 or 88 and being with her...my first love..someone long gone now but oh the memories live on forever...thank god for the memories and the music of the 80s....

  • 29 people suffering from hitting the wrong thumbs key... or did they turn the screen upside down?

  • thank you nuruposter.

  • i love boz scaggs! 80's is the best!

  • Back to the '80s? Hell yeah. Without a second thought.

  • That's my talented cousin Beth suspended doing the gymnastics in the pink leotard.

  • i am a man, but i can say that boz scaggs is a very beautiful man, because not only women can like men

  • This was a heart-breaker for me! Love this song!

  • I made a mistake earlier. Jason Scheff wrote this with 2 other guys: Bobby Caldwell and Dennis Matkosky.

  • Ugh, David Foster did not write this song. Jason Scheff of Chicago wrote it. Maybe, he arranged it, but highly doubtful. This song was supposed to be sung by Peter Cetera, but he passed on it for some reason. I've heard a recording of this song done by Jason Scheff done much later and it was awesome.

  • about this song i'm not sure, but probably david foster composed the melody. the song is wonderful

  • (continuation of the comment below)... we would live happily ever after : )) Well, saw him I did, along with his wife and kid. I went home, curled on my bed and cried my eyes out. Then this song came on the radio. Never heard of it before but I listened to the lyrics and it just fits. It described exactly how I feel. It's one of my favourite songs ever since. I'm married now to a wonderful man and I couldn't be happier. I guess everything happens for a reason. Someone else was in store for me,

  • You know those times when you're feeling either happy or sad etc and then a song comes on the radio describing exactly how you feel? I first heard this song in 2004. I was madly but secretly in loved with a guy whom I haven't seen for 5 years and haven't spoken to for 10 years! Been in loved with him since we were 12. I was 23 at that time, just graduated from college, went back to my home town after 5 years hoping I would get a glimpse of him (and dreaming he would tell me he loves me too and

  • absolutely love not only this song but so many by him, they bring back so many m memories from my teenage years.....love look what you've done to me, one of his best!!

  • I used to have a lot of his stuff on cassette. Reminds me of that transition from graduating from Attica High School in New York to being in the navy and living in San Diego, California. Some good music for sure. Seeing him in September.

  • I like his voice. Had this song stuck in my head all day, and don't know why. LOl

  • I still love him and his music...

  • @perpetual61, pls contact me if the time machine is already built. thanks and have a nice life...

  • Dear Tara,

Yes, I do think about you all the time. Especially, when I'm working in places like Haiti and Afghanistan. I love you, and I always will. There will never be another love like yours. I wish you soooo much Happiness and Joy, and I am gratefull for our moments.

    Missing you, daily.

  • 1980's the BEST

  • 80's is really the time were love and being in love is sweetest thing that could happen to you...i agree with the time machine perpetual61

  • This is from a time when they knew how to make great music. We'll probably never hear anything like this anymore.

  • nindutas kanta oi! ilike it!

  • It's not "Lido" or "Lowdown", but it's not a bad tune either. The audio quality on this video needs improvement, though.

  • I love romantic like this kind of pur a tear in your eye when you aint got a woman and then you see other people kissing and shit

  • i love bozz scaggs...

  • 80`s love songs are so gentle to the heart. these songs will last a lifetime!

  • This is one of my favorite songs, I sing it like everyday when I get home from school. XD I wasn't born in the 80s but I have to admit that today's music is trash when compared to these. Music about lovers and stuff were sang mostly by adults. Nowadays, artists below 18 write and sing songs about love-making. It's just getting worse and worse.

  • i prefer bobby caldwell's version :)

  • 28 people who need to "get it though there head. It's over now" LOL

  • Can't say I care for this song too much. Boz is moving too far away from his roots here and dabbling in Michael Bolton-style "adult contemporary" music.

  • He is great! Beautiful song, handsome Boz, great outfit!

  • I really think Boz Scaggs music has no target age, its just wonderful music. For example, when this song came out in 1988, i was 16 years old, a sophomore in high school. I have liked this song ever since and still listen to it when i start going through all my 80's music files on my computer. Like many, if i could, i would want to relive the 1980's all over again. It was just the most amazing decade in American music along with the birth of MTV videos and the British Invasion bands, etc.

  • 28 people who have absolutely no taste in quality music what so ever.

  • I wasnt even born yet when this song came outbut ising this in the karaoke.

  • Boz is the man, thank you for all your wonderful music

    Check out my tribute

  • listen and learn music embrace

  • is this song composed by david foster.

  • watch Kaori Kobayashi's version.

  • i agree, the 1980's was probably the best decade to have grown up in. so many memories, so much music that actually had a meaning, not like the crap we have now. i am glad to have lived and experienced the culture and music of the 80's. i also would do anything to go back in time and experience the 1980's all over again. the music was just amazing!!!

  • Now Accepting Donations to Build a Time Machine Back to the 80's.

  • @perpetual61

i'm in. Set the machine for early 88 in my case lol

  • @perpetual61 I'll donate! And when we get back to the 80s...we just keep replaying the decade....never leaving the 80s..sounds good to me!

  • @perpetual61 I'm in; where do I send the money??

  • @perpetual61

Could you please tell your scientist to just make a time machine that will bring the "80's" (not the E.T.'s ^__^)

to "NOW" rather than bringing us back to it? ^__^

MY OWN OPINION: "OF ALL EVOLUTIONS THAT ARE TAKING PLACE ON EARTH, MUSIC HAS THE INVERTED CHARACTERISTICS OF "change for the betterment".

Maybe it's because they (I don't know who are ''they'' ^_^) let them (I don't know ''them'' either) play music even if they don't really have the concrete talent of being a musician.

  • @perpetual61 i'll buy a ticket i miss the 80"s

  • @perpetual61 LOVE the post comment you made. I so agree with the sentiment you have expressed. For i too LOVE the music from the 80's.

  • @perpetual61 hahahaha! i love that! without any hesitation! :)

  • @LiveInTheAtl ditto man!

  • I think Boz Scaggs is probably closer to Bill Withers in a soulful musical style and lyrical expression than anyone else. Very thoughtful and timeless music.

  • Still a great song to this day!!!

  • LOVE this song. :):):)

  • i love this song hearing this reminds me of when i was a kid , its funny you never notice how you take in all these songs til your older and you remember all the words, its very humbling. also i think he looks like tim the tool man just a bit.

  • I love this video and the music. . . . which reminds me. . .?? Where is the music? Why is there no sound?

  • He is playing in Peachtree City, GA. TONIGHT!!! Try to keep me away!!

  • i love the song but the music video sucks! it's so cheesy!

  • I found the Bobby Caldwell version on itunes...and it is also fantastic.

  • i want to go back to easier times...........its too hard now

  • @fondapop Me to!

  • @fondapop agreed. take a good look around. nothing from the 80s and early 90s is being carried over into today's standards of music or entertainment much less in the realm of god or country. surely the talent pool isn't completely dried up. can't we get real music from real musicians anymore? I think not. we look back on the 80s and 90s with such an embracement now because we didn't t know we were living through some of the best times we'd ever know.

  • @br3ktw You couldn't have said it any better, that last sentence you typed, said it better than i could have ever done myself. We were truly living in the most amazing time yet most of us never realized it until now. Very well said, if you dont mind, i will save that sentence on my computer so that every time i get nostalgic, i can refer to it. thank you very much.

  • @fondapop I really liked and related to your comment. At least we can look forward to the day that Jesus comes back and saves us from all the ugliness on this earth. Have faith in Jesus and you will have those easier times your looking for. God Bless you!

  • @fondapop You're not the only one,...believe me, there are MILLIONS of us :(

But I guess , HUMANITY should be OPTIMISTIC :)

  • @fondapop I hear ya!

  • この曲といったら、パーラメントでしょ!

  • Hit#3 AC, #35 pop in Billboard. Cowritten by Jason Scheff, of Chicago. God bless!

  • I remember this song from the Summer of 1988.......damn what great times.....Boz is so awesome..... Back at a time when life didn't move so fast and things meant more...know what I mean? If you weren't there you''ll never know./

  • @wccwmark74 I was there, and I know exactyly what you mean. This song has meant alot to me over the years. And even more lately...

  • @wccwmark74 Life was simple and it just went by smoothly no hassles. The music was real and the Artists put a little bit of themselves in the songs. You could

always tell what band or single artist was on, they had a distinct sound.

  • @gturpin01 There never will be a time like that was!

  • @wccwmark74 yes i do! Sarah

  • @wccwmark74 yes i do! Sarah

  • @wccwmark74 You are so right. At the time you think things are so complicated but after all these were the best time of your life. Bu8t thats why we listen to these great songs from the era.... to recapture what once was. Peace!

  • @wccwmark74 U got it rite...times were the best back then...just graduated high school....no facebook, texting,etc...U had to interact with a person face to face.

  • OH, I forgot about this one....I absolutely love Boz.

  • i love this song ever!!!

  • This is a Bobby Caldwell song...a great cover though.

  • Good old Boz Scaggs

  • Boz Scaggs es uno de los grandes. el trabajó en el famoso studio 54, tocanco low down, jo jo, musica disco. tiene más de 70 años y aun sigue en actividad.

  • I want to see him this weekend... but I'm short on dough...

  • Voce melodica niente di più. ma ha lavorato con i Toto. Andate a scoprire chi è il batterista che tira indietro di bestia...

  • ganda poh ^^

  • nice imagery. lithe dancer. oh my.

interesting timing of hearing this today.

the sadness of being away from her who i loved with all of my heart has been crushing me. and knowing that i will never be with her again; it's hard. The words completely fit me at this time. my heart has been dying.

  • Have always loved this song, but the video is stupid and distracting!

  • Listen to Bobbty Caldwell's version of this song. Live. Nice job. Such a great performers. Both do great job on this one. I have a twelve year old tha switches to

his rock songs my car stereo. He plays piano and does like this kind of music. but

for now he's into hard rock. I have friend who started out playing bass and end up

playing guitar. Just tells you where the heart goes in the end.
