I like your little tea pot. Wouldn't mind having one of them for myself. Might have to pick me up one of them flexible tri pods as well, thanks for sharing Bro.
@ibmoosed For my afternoon trips I prefer the shoulder bag to a rucksack. It's comfortable enough for up to about 3 hours and I do not even carry it throughout that time.
Nice video. Love the nature aspect, which you didn't cover up/over with music. So many people go out in the woods to film and come back and edit all the natural sounds out with their taste of music, which usually isn't my taste. Take Care!
@Bustertb Thank you - I know what you mean, but often I can't resist adding some music to express the mood of the moment outdoors as it appeared to me.
Wonderful day in nature Tim and a lovely Bushcraft Tea ceremony, complete with a offering to the water spirits. Of course I wonder how they truly feel about taking a drink from that cup.. : o)
Love the New video quality. Now, I can even count the hairs on your head, even if they are somewhat shorter than they used to be.. : o)
I was a real pleasure to finally catch up on some vids tonight Tim and you certainly filled my evening with some much needed smiles and fun! Hugs, Sara : )
@saradreaming Ah Sara, don't be too strict with me and my cup - I know I should have polished it beforehand, but this is the one and only weakness I have, ehm cough, cough. When you're done with the hair count, please send me the result, because I have the feeling there are one or two missing meanwhile.
Very nice, relaxing video! Not as good as being there ... but a nice substitute! The new camera resolution is excellent even with YouTube's downgrade. Loved the ending!
@RallohE Thank you! I am quite pleased with the camera and quality of film; it's just the HD format with its lower height that I need to get used to better; I am still "thinking" in the dimensions of VGA format from my old camera.
Hey Tim, That cup is lookin' pretty rough inside...haha! I have a few of the enamel cups and found they're actually the best of anything for cleaning out :o) Makes me wonder how yours got so yucky...haha! Awesome scenes as usual buddy :o) Looks like it's finally getting a bit colder there eh? ;o)
@Ggreenvideos Yep, we're in for some Yukon nights ... kind of: the nights will be as mild as your warmest sunshine days, around -12°C.
Why that cup is so yucky? Because I never clean it; I like the patina (no, I am lazy in certain aspects) :o) it'll get brownish again anyway and I need sth to catch my viewers' attention, haha! The yuck factor, or call it the appeal of the disgusting, you know!
Thanks, yes that's the paradoxical haircut-film length-relation ;o) The weather is rather mild, about 4°C, but the next days are said to bring far colder temperatures and snow: winter is a latecomer this season. I'll PM you some info on the creek.
Thanks a lot. The weather report says we're going to get some snow over the next days and freezing temperatures, which always make for nice filming scenery ...
Sounds, or lack of sometimes, is a big part of the outdoors for me. I was surprised to see you using a tripod. I have two of those gorillapods, one of the small ones and one of the larger SLR models. They are pretty useful and what I REALLY like about them is the compact, unobtrusive quick detach camera mount. You can leave the mount on the camera then slip the whole thing on and off the tripod as needed. BTW, that’s a well used cup you have there Tim :-)
@Woodenarrows ... that cup is probably older than me :o)
Other than my old one, my new cam is too slim to stand on itself and hanging it over branches isn't possible either, so I use the gorillapod. The camera mount is great as you say, the legs can be wriggled around almost anything and the whole thing weighs close to nothing.
Guess you had some stream crossing to negotiate, huh? That, or, you just wanted a walking stick. Nicely done video. You seem to be getting much more comfortable with its uses. Thanks Tim.
Well, the biggest difference in filming compared to my old camera is the HD format now. I am used to VGA format and quite often I misjudge the height of my recording at the moment ... need to get some more routine with that.
@surviva1000 Dankesehr! Das ist das kleinste meiner Leukus, das "Ahti Leuku" (14,5cm Klinge) - falls es dich näher interessiert, bitte danach in meinen Videos suchen. Es gibt ein paar Beiträge dazu.

Previously your average video length was about 2-3 minutes.
And now: "short(er)" hair, "long(er)" video. I see the connection. This is the result if you visit your hairdresser. :-)
It seems to be not so freezing cold outside. May I ask you into which river does this little creek run?
Have a nice sunday!
