  • 5'9!!! O_O i have no chance U_U

  • People need to get real. They are commenting "this is vain" and "you're just a clothes hanger". Not everyone can be a model; You not only have to have the look, but the talent, poise, and charisma to actually make it in the business professionally. If you're 5'2 and 95 lbs, snaps for you. You probably look great, but you can't be a model. Sorry.why are you shocked? 5'2 is not 6' ! There are girls 6'3 modeling! Just be real. Don't hate on others qualified, Just enjoy the business as a bystander

  • sorry, modeling = career as a clothes hanger. it's never changed and it's not going to change.

  • im 15 im 5'11/6ft and i weigh 139pounds

  • This is so vain.. I'm 14 and 4'11"... But I'm super slim like 85 lbs

  • Im 4'10 and 117 lbs. I worry that im not model material. And i have a modelling interview on Saturday.

  • @LauraWowful at 4'10 I highly doubt you will be a model...

  • I'm 5'5 and 98 lbs (I do NOT have a disorder I just petite) am I model material??:/

  • heres the truth i know you prob dont wanna hear it but the point is you gotta get real if you arent 5'9 and up, 116-120 lbs or lower you cant be high fashion unless you are kate moss and have superior modeling techniques. Ive been modeling since I was 9 and I'm 16 now, ive seen models come and go, this industry is cold. I got fired from a runway show cos I'm 120 lbs and bloated on my period and my weight was 123. Its cold

  • it's so hilarious how easily everyone gets offended XD

  • Thanks SO much for posting these videos. They are definitely very interesting to watch and full of meaning for those who want to get to know more about or be part of the modeling industry. And the presenter explains in a very didactic way. Thank you!!

  • @beautifuldemondream lucky! i met with an agent for regular modeling, but it turns out that since I have blond hair and blue eyes I can't b e a model.

  • I really wish they didn't judge their weight. Ever consider bone and muscle mass? God.

  • I'm 5'11" and 120 pounds, too bad I'm not interested : D

  • @beautifuldemondream lucky..... i m 12 and i m a midget! i m only 5'4 and i weight like 100 pounds

  • @JewellynaSecrets lol your not a midget! I'm 12 and 4 9" !

  • @txtingirl1 but my 2 best friend are all like 5"7 and 5"8 and they are girls, and they are like 6 months YOUNGER THAN ME! (their moms were models, i wish mine was!) i just feel like i can never compare to them!

  • @JewellynaSecrets yep. i know where you're coming from. Everyone thinks my friends are my babysitters lol.

  • you CAN be a model just NOT a runway model so guys dont be mad gosh shes telling the truth

  • wow...i AM a model and im APPALLED that this woman would post something like this. stating to the world in that cheery fake voice that you basically have to look like that for her to be pleased and be "perfect" is horrible for a young girl to see on youtube. yes there are certain requirements for modelling, but woman choose your words better, and dont talk about it like shes "perfect".

  • ah good soooo If I don't eat for the next five years, let my bmi drop to about 11, lose the ability to have children, lose any amount of feminine curve within my body maybe THEN clothes will look good on me. Comforting.

  • Very VERY thin girls.. and can be ugly too, doesn't matter :D

should be the other way around -_-

  • @squiress92 i hope everything works out great for you :)

  • @messibeiby if your a guy, thats obviously the perfect height for a male model, but if your unfortunately a girl and that tall then they're most likely going to tell you that you're to tall

  • wow, how ignorant. Basically saying that you need to be skinny in order to be successful. Thus, if you don't "look like nicki" you can't be a model. I have a shoot in two weeks, and I don't "look like nicki".

  • goodness... what a word.. 'hangers' the lady is ruining the modelling business

  • Comment removed

  • is 6'4 and 135pounds ok 4 modeling? tnx

  • @messibeiby duh

  • OMG People stop being over dramatic i really am a nice person, im telling it like it is, but in the process of breaking boundaries people ARE going to say what im saying but alot meaner, being called fat all the time, and lanky, and talked down to all the time is the name of the job, yes all those models u listed are nice i know that for a fact, but seriously and again my career wont end for about 10 or 11 more years (I'M SRRY IF I HURT ANY FEELINGS I WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP) <3

  • @Nvrsay please don't take it the wrong way but, young girls should have ambition, I mean who knows maybe one of them would break boundaries and become a top model? There is always a possibility, there are millions of reason why Kate moss shouldn't be a supermodel( her height, her look at that time wasn't 'in' ) but she made it anyway. So to all the girls out there, try out for modeling, if you believe that's the path you're taking go ahead an never doubt yourself, you have a fan in me already:)

  • @Nvrsay oh and by the way, models are not dumb. They are very efficient multi-taskers to be able to be aware of several factors while posing infront of the camera. What I was saying that you have no right to be mean to other people. I am telling you that unless you are Naomi Campbell, you better start being nice or you are going to have look for other ways to stay financially stable when your flow of jobs starts slowing down

  • @Nvrsay dude read carefully, not once did I say you're stupid but you are mean to the young girls out there who want to dream because they have the right to dream. I know you're a model and that you are currently financially stable, but I feel that most of the top models such as Hilary Rhoda, coco rocha, or lily Donaldson are at the top of their games because they are nice. I know you like being realistic but just pay attention to the line between being realistic and rude.

  • So you better study to get a degree in something or start flirting because between the age of 25 to 35 after you have exhausted your savings(if you even have any), you are going to need the financial support. No offense .

  • @779561296 r u talking to me cos, um sweetie i'm set financially, and thank u very much i hope ur not saying models are dumb, cos we r not, we r just more fabulous than u. <3 JK but seriously i have nothing to worry about financially

  • @Nvrsay oh yah I've just read all your other comments dude. And I suggest you pick up a bloody book and read because a typical model only last till they are 25 and I don't care how in demand you are. There is a fine line between being realistic and being plain rude, and girl, you've just crossed it. The really top models are all nice because ( and I quote from Hilary Rhoda)" always be nice to people because then they wouldn't want to see you fail".

  • @Nvrsay their heights on the Internet ranges from 5'5.5 to 5'8 so basically I trusted the earliest records of their height. But either way, check out Devon aoki. Seriously dude, people breaking boundaries is awesome

  • @EdwardlovesAngie oh what so you are grow 10 inches during puberty from the time your 13-16 be honest with yourself YOU ARE NOT A MODEL and you prob cant be one

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @EdwardlovesAngie : 4'10? Nope do something else

  • @EdwardlovesAngie

Well than go for it! Of course there's petite models you could definetly (sorry for speling) be one if you have experience and stuff like that! Go for it doll!

  • @NvrSay

Well i was planning on growing a few more inches before auditioning even for anything........u don't have to be rude

  • @msgrrrrr16 i wasnt trying to be rude, im just stating the obvious ok, most models start at 13 and also going through puberty you will only grow about 2-3 more inches, at 5'7 you shouldnt even bother to walk into elite, wilhemina, img, or ford or any major modeling agency. Ive been modeling with elite since i was 12 (i was 5'8 when i twelve) and ive seen girls just like you who think they will grow a whole bunch during puberty, you wont. welcome to the real world sweety. ;)

  • @NvrSay

Thanks for ruining my dreams doll.......your so kind

  • @msgrrrrr16 if your dreams can be ruined just by someone saying something u dont like to hear, u wouldnt last a day in modeling, u are constantly judged everywhere you go, and people are going to say things that could really hurt your feelings. trust me ive been called fat, didnt book a show because i was on my period and bloated putting me at 123. Its a hard world out there have to have tough skin

  • @msgrrrrr16 btw u cant plan to grow, it just happens or in your case it just doesnt

  • I'm 5 6 and 113 pounds and i really really really want to be a model. I'm only 12 though but I've got dream and hopefully they'll come true really soon :D

  • @EdwardlovesAngie

Well not to be mean but your way short to be a model

  • First step to becoming a runway model:

    1. Don't wear an ugly sweater

  • well i got the height, but not the weight. But really, who wants to be a hanger anyway?

  • Not exactly true... I'm 5' 11" and about twice her weight and Barbizon wanted to hire me. It depends on the agency and the type of model that the client's looking for.

  • What!!!! Lol I am 59 to she weigh 115 I weigh 120 blah I feel fat now great : / everyone said I should model

  • 5'4, 120lb. i got big dreams and tall heels to fill!

  • @free2bme14 5'4 nope must be 5'8 WITHOUT heels do something else

  • @NvrSay lol silly you must of had all your dreams crushed hmm? ^-^ oh so silly

  • and btw, this "nicki" girls doesn't have a model look at all. she looks like a hipster that works at starbucks

  • this is so not true, my friend December is only 5'7 and is a high fashion model in paris and milan. she is signed with IMG and has been in more shows than many models in just one year.

  • Haha, I love how all of the short girls are so offended. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE A MODEL. There are only 16 supermodels on this planet.

  • @ordead me 2 im like stop thinking being 5'5 and 108 llbs can make you coco rocha it cant!!

  • @ordead As far as runway modeling goes you are right, short girls have no chance. The good thing is that there are other types of modeling.

  • Agyness deyn, an English supermodel(check her out) is 5'8

Laetitia casta is 5'5 and is a supermodel

Kate moss is 5'5.5 and, duh a supermodel.

I guess it depends, if you got 'it', height don't matter. It's all about breaking boundaries. Oh btw, milla jovovich is 5'8

  • @779561296 kate mos 5'7, laetita casta 5'7 idk where u got your info.

  • I'm a 5'1" model. Not high fashion, obvi.

But if I can do it, so can you :)

  • 5'9" 115...i guess pretty?

modeling is a dream of mine. i hope to be world wide known.(:

  • @carmenluvsyou4ever do it your P-E-R-F-E-C-T Perfect!!!!!!! u will make it far!

  • i realy wanted to be a runway model, im 5ft 8 but im about 162 pounds...im a naturally curvy girl though, i dont even eat much. society sucks for this sort of bull crap. we need to have more women modeling that arnt as thin as a twig....

  • @midnightstarfright i agree!! u still can model sweetie cos you have the height

  • no i think you tookme the wrong way! im so sorry if i sounded mean! im not a mean person! i promise! i was just like crying over my weight that night after i saw how skinney other girls were! so please...sorry :(

  • Aaaaaand this is why society is so fucked.

  • Comment removed

  • Im 16, 5'6, and 120lb. I know im not really tall enough to be a runway model but are there still plenty of jobs for us shorter people? Im also not going to lose any weight even if it was required. Im tired of seeing skeleton-shaped girls in magazines, as if thats the ideal look....i understand some people cant help it but it wouldnt hurt to get some more average sized people....

  • Im 5'5 nd 13

  • IM 5"6 102/103 AND 13

  • their anorexic. not healthy! im 13 and im 122! thats because im 5'4. my doctor said i will stop growing, and everyone will catch up! so you don't have to be as thin as a twig to be considered beautiful.

  • @722love1 @722love1 umm... no. they are not anorexic. its their body type. im 5'11 and i weigh 130. yeah, im super skinny. BUT GUESS WHAT !!?? im not anorexic. so please shut your face because you have no freaking idea what the helll your talking about..

    ans p.s i am healthy

  • I'm 5'8 and 98 pounds I dont need to be 20 pounds more to be the "perfect model" like Nikki.

  • Wow. I'm 5'6" and 115. My family says I'm too short. These comments give me hope when I see people my height and shorter than I am modeling :)

  • your judgmental.. the most beautiful models are plus size!!!

  • @jmhtommie2010 absolutely when i go to castings i sometimes dont book a job becuz they booked a plus-sized model instead, they know how to rock the hell out of a catwalk and pose like there's no tomorrow

  • im happy being 5'6'' and 98lbs, yo.

  • lol, "nikki?!.. NIKKI!?!......OH, there you are, i couldnt find you, you fit in with the rest of the lamp posts".

  • There are requirements, not everyone can do it. If there weren't any requirements there would be ppl trying to be runway models at 5'3" 270 lbs. Nobody wants to see clothes on that. I'm 5'5" and 117 and I can't do runway and that's just fine

  • Bahahaha the only reason Im still watching these videos is because I find them hilarious and also the comments lol

  • This is completly messed up! 5'9" so really tall but 120. That's like starving yourself. Don't be anorexic. Now companies don't want "pro-Ana" models. They want healthy models.

  • Would there b any runway opportunities for someone who's 5ft 5 1/2in??

  • @dunnioppicks maybe not in high fashion, but commercial absolutely you could be one of those H&M models in the commercials on tv

  • I've never see Nikki walking fashion week.

  • man have things changed the minimum height for runway is 5'7 according to Tyra and 5'8 according to victoria secret, I think im going to listen to them instead of some random girl on youtube!also you can be 5'9 skinny and weight 130,but look 110, it doesnt really matter on your weight it really just matters on how skinny you look, cuz some of your weight can be muscle and not FAT! plus you dont have to be pretty, ehat type of person says that!!!!

  • @kspad22 yea i would definatly listen to tyra!!!!

  • 5;9! ARE YOU SERIOUS IM FREAKING 14 AND IM 5;9 D< IF I GET A CAREER OF MODELING I WILL MAKE A ACEDEMY THAT YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HIGHT..

  • Uhmm has she ever heard of Crystal Renn?

  • One more thing. I just LOVE how she called her a "hanger" for the clothes

  • Oh and.... Fooooood! •.• I need FOOOOOOD!

  • SHE'S ERECT! XD skinny bitch is probly fighting annorexia. I'M fighting my butt deflating. And my mom.... :P

  • You guys didn't listen to her properly it seems. To be a RUNWAY MODEL, a high end one, wearing couture, you usually need to be 5'9" and very thin.

You will not be modeling for Chanel or Dior if you're 5'5 and 125 pounds. It's just not how that part of the Industry works.

You have a chance at being a model at almost any size, as there are many different divisions. So if you're short, don't focus on editorial. There are other things out there for you.

I am 5'7" and 100lb, and the only runwa

  • dissapointed i model for nyc company i am 5'7 any weight 140

  • There goes my dream only 5'4

  • Dreams are smashed =,[ I'm only 5'3

....never going to be a model!

  • @flavorfulgirlstuff NONONO! i'm 5'2" & i just booked my first modeling career! first time!!! do NOT let this single-minded bitch get you down! she (& a good portion of the visual society) need to open up their goddamn eyes and see that anyone can be beautiful. we don't have to ask society if we're beautiful or not based on height and weight.

so go for it girl!!! the best thing to do is be CONFIDENT! i'm telling you to go for it cuz if you think you're beautiful, there's nothing stopping you! :D

  • @flavorfulgirlstuff :'( dont say that 5'3 u could do commercial modeling like in forever 21 and express in stuff you just cant do high fashion.

  • the models not that unique looking just girl next door type.

  • on top model the height requirement is5"7.and you see alot of girls shorter than 5"9 on the runway(5"7. 5"8)this lady is wrong.

  • she is wrong :/ im 5ft 8 and im 110 lbs i can runway model. you dont need to be 5ft 9. Its people like her that can make girls extremely un confident in their own bodies. I have no doubt that she is experienced but she could change her attitude towards model height and weights.

  • she is 1.79 m and 52 kg!! that's not healthy!

  • 5'9"?!! I'm 5'3"!! Aww :( Is their modeling for petites then?

  • @COMEDYTVdotCOM I WISH! i'm petite too! i'm 5'3!

  • @COMEDYTVdotCOM Yeah there is petite, but it's about 5'5" ... there's little logic in modeling it seems

  • so if i weigh 10 pounds less and grow 5 more inches i can be a runway model!

    That sounds really healthy

  • I'm 5'10 and 98 pounds and im onl 14 :/ i feel really small now .

Seriously i thnk the height reall only matters for runways .. weight could differ depending on who your client is and what they are looking for , who they clothes will look best on. but for catalogue and commercials you really only have to be pretty.

  • this is so lame -.- you don't have to be a "Barbie doll" to be a model. I've been modeling for five years now and I'm 5'5 and I weight 123 pounds. and I still do runway shows.

  • crap

  • -_-

  • wow. if this was the requirement, this world would have a lot less models in the world.

  • this woman is talking bullshit. don't worry girls, you don't need to be 5'9 and 120 pounds to model. I can promise you. I've been in the industry since I was 13.

  • @emermh is their a certian age for runway models? just wondering.

  • @0015804875 Most major fashion designers don't use any models under the age of 18. However there are the rare occasions where young models like Lily Cole get booked at 16 years old.

  • @emermh ohh, thank you. :)

  • @0015804875 no i did my first show for custo barcelona when i was 14 so i dont think it matters

  • i am 5'7" im a model. That is bull.

  • Blind acceptance of rules makes women dull

  • LOOK!! Wanna get on the Cover of 17 - take a look in here.

  • this lady is blah

  • dats a lie u can be a plus size model nd still make it just like another skinny model. Wat she said can put fierce size girls dream down i dont care wat she says i will still try to persue my dreams as a plus size model. size 12 and 5'10

  • what about a 17-year-old 5'7'' and 105lbs?

    is that okay for modeling?

  • @Revolutionl968 I'm sure it is!

  • Im 5"7 im 13 and im 148 but i dont give a fuck? o.O

  • Im 5"7 im 13 and im 148 but i dont give a fuck? o.O

  • Hahaha I love how everyone comments on here to brag about their height and weight!

  • im 5'6, im 13, & 118 pounds. im considered normal weight. & shes saying this 5'9 girl is 115? wtf. either shes anerexic, or someone needs to get a better scale.

  • Everybody keeps complaining about her being underweight. Yeah, but she's a model, that's the common sense, get used already =,.=z

  • 5'6, 120IB, booked my first runway audition. SUCK ON THAT!!!!!

  • @chipmunk576 good job ^_^

  • Half of the time, models look like they hate their job when they're on the runway.

I've asked dozens of women for their opinions on retail stores endorsed by these types of "models". ALL of them stated they'd rather shop at a place where the clothes they showcase are promoted by models who represent the average woman.

If you want to show how clothes drape, get a coat hanger.

  • What a fucking cu^t

  • i love love love Nikki's haircut

  • Wow 5'9 115 pounds to have what it takes, seriously im 5'8 and 130 and im considered underweight!! Well i guess if you want to be a model it looks like a water diet, and maybe a few peices of leaves once or twice a day!! Im sorry im not losing my curves for that

Thumbs up if you LOVE your food!!

  • im 5'9 and and i weigh about 110 lbs i also have huge lips that i hate but everybody says i will appreciate them when i grow up.....

  • "Hey, Nikki. Where are you?" *standing right behind lady* "OH THERE YOU ARE!" Sounds like Dora.

  • @MsSugarette That moment was like a scene right out of The Room. Is Tommy Wiseau directing this?

  • First off when you're a runway model you dont do the T n then walk, you just come out from the back and do your walk down the runway!

  • take a look at

    ModelsWebTV. com

  • Oh but also adding to my comment below, my doctor said I was gonna grow to like 6ft between now and when I'm 16... So yeah...

  • I'm 14, I weigh 94 pounds, and I'm 5'4". Can I still be a model when I'm that short?

  • niki would get fucked hard i would break her slim fine ass in half

  • 115 lbs, which is wonderful?

  • I'm 6'1" & 17 years old :) being a model in some way has always been a dream

  • i hate the way this woman has a big bitchy smile on her face and looks soo proud of herself when she tells you that you have to be 5.9 and 120 puonds.

  • I model, I'm 110 but I'm only 5'6, plus I'm a teenager (13), don't let ppl crush ur dreams!!! Anything is possible, u may be perfect for print modeling

  • That just crushed all my hopes and dreams...Sorry I can't grow anymore for you assholes!!!

  • I'm 5"9 and weigh 118 pounds... starting runway!! xD so excited!

  • She's 5"9 and weighs 115 pounds!!!??? Feed her something!

  • Im 5"10 and 190. I know im fat but i'm still a model...you don't have to be 6'0 tall and 100 pounds to be beautiful :)

  • im 5'1 and im a modeling and and my weight is 112 pounds trust me girls to be a model all you need is cofidence dont believe what everyone else says says and if you wanna be a model and you are like lets say 4''8 and weight 135 pounds it doesnt mean you cant still be a model. trust you may not be pretty to someone but to someone 1 else you will do what you wanna be

  • i'm 5'8 and weigh 116

    p.s: i'm only 14 and starting runway =)

  • @AlIeJaY96 lucky....im 12 and i really want 2 be a model. im 5'9 and weigh about 110

  • The weight is so arbitrary...What should really matter is muscle mass and measurements.

  • @XxXSammiCakesXxX I'm 5'5 and 100 pounds :P Editorial would be good for us "shorties". We could wear stilletos then we'd be as tall as them! lol That's what i tell myself(:

  • ..wie aufgesetzt.

    fürchterlich.

    "Bone structure!"

...."Niki?...Hey, where are you? THERE SHE IS!"

    .hahaha.....

  • didnt they ban models from being underweight now??

  • @OrangeHoeBo in milan and in most european cities there are weigh- ins you have to do.

  • @OrangeHoeBo most yes, unless they really don't care about you (someone I wouldn't book for)

  • @OrangeHoeBo No. They've never banned that. The most paid models are very underweight

  • So am I ok if I'm 5'10" and 124 lbs?

  • Bitch, we live in an obese country.

  • i wish i could become a model /: how the fuck do models get their body like that :O i'm like 5'6 & weigh 128 pounds. my doctor says its the perfect weight but i wanna be thinner >_<

  • not that I'm defending her...the lady gives me the creps a bit too...but a lot of you are forgetting that the size requirements she's giving are for 'RUNWAY' models. They DO have to be a certain size because designers create their clothing to fit THAT SIZE...this isn't saying that if you're not that size, you can't be a sucessful model! There are tons of different types of modeling jobs in th world, (print, beauty etc etc)

  • LOL .... niki is 115 pounds, which is perfect.... FOR A ZOMBIE :D

    <
