  • I dont think he understands it

  • @TheRoman8r lol

  • Duran got up to 240 lbs and didnt even want to fight

  • Comment removed

  • arranged fight !! sad ! shame of the sport

  • Ray's older brother Roger gave Ray the best advice before this fight (Duran won the first fight between them) You see Duran is one of greatest fighters of all time but he was also a bully. The advice was to make him look foolish and that's exactly what Sugar did! You have to see the whole fight

  • duran was out of shape and he was eating nasty unhealthy shit and said he had stomach cramps his manager replied saying he was embarassed

  • @KillahJ2 Whenever a Fighter Loses a Fight he Always has an Excuse as to why he Lost, and that was Duran's Excuse. But the Truth is that Sugar Ray just Out Boxed the Shit Out of him. lol In their 1st Fight Together Ray Played Duran's Game, he Went Toe to Toe with the Hands of Stone, and of course that Played into Duran's Favor. But it was Still a Very Close Fight Even though Ray Played Duran's Game. However in the 2nd Fight Ray Said that he would just Out Box him, and thats Exactly what he did.

  • I didn't see how Leonard was humiliating Duran. It was a normal fight!

  • Duran felt that jab and knew that ass was bout to get whoop i dont worry when people talk shit bout sugar ray mayweather fighters with that lighting speed its called boxing no one wants to see a black man be victorious but guest what this our sport like basketball and football and thanks to tiger woods we got golf

  • Borat above Leonard's left shoulder at 0:49

  • no mas, or "no quiero pelear con el payaso"?

  • Fuck all u fuckers hating on duran and who ta fuck compares chavez to duran you dumb ass p4p duran had much better fighters to face and the vicious strike of duran compare to brawlers in their prime was sick

  • lmao Ray can taunt him all he wants. Its still not going to change the fact that he lost to a lightweight. How embarrassing...

  • Garibay711cod

Dude shut the fuck up. You know nothing about boxing. Your an idiot chavez quit against De La Hoya pendejo! Duran is an ATG. You obviously are an idiot or you were born yesterday!

  • Fucking José Suleiman was in the ring. That fucker is like a tumor!

  • Duran should have just kept charging him and dig his shoulder into Leonard every time he pulled that crap. Or just stood in a corner and waiting for Leonard to come, Duran was a real boxer, what Leonard did is pathetic.

  • I have no respect for Leonard now, this is retarded. It's okay to taunt but for half a round? Gayest shit I have ever seen, don't know how anyone who likes boxing thinks this is okay.

  • steroids rage made him quit

  • 1:28 says it all.

  • Like it or not Sugar Ray won this fight because he out danced his opponent. Strictly Come Boxing. ;)

  • ROBERTO ''NO MAS'' DURAN QUIT !!!

How can people say this idiot is better than chavez....

Chavez is 10x better than duran,Simply a boxer should never ever quit.

Duran said fuck it,Ima quit.Chavez came after you and broke your ass down.

Just ask Meldrick ''Hands Of Lighting'' Taylor DURAN YOU A FUCKING COWARD...This is boxing. Not A Bar Brwal

  • @garibay711cod duran is also great also duran is half mexican!

  • @MniAK0

He was given a small fine for quitting, I think but he was more or less paid in full.

  • Look at documentrys even sugar ray said he wanted to fight hin when he was out of shape thats y he quit cuz he had to drop 100 pounds in 2 months for the fight so he was not in great shape if he was duran would of whooped him like the 1st time

  • Leonard did a great job at exposing durans weakness, you see, duran is a brawler with a short reach, he was the type of boxer that has to trade punches on the inside, he couldn't handle the fact that he wasnt able to land any combinations, he was basically getting humiliated in front of thousands of people so he rage quit.

  • @BoxingFly01

And you're genuinely stupid enough to believe every last word Duran says are you? You seriously think that he managed to gain 70-80 pounds in just two months? Do you have any idea how ridiculous that is? It's fucking impossible!

  • @MniAK0 A local boy, Paul Thorn, fought Roberto "Like a Man", he was very inexperienced and a newcomer, but he went "Toe to Toe"... He never "RAN" from "Stone Fists".. Seems to me the clown was chickensh*t Leonard...

  • Leonard outsmarted Duran but I believe if SRL traded with Duran he would have lost.

  • "My intention was to [get a rematch with] Duran A.S.A.P. Because I knew Duran's habits. I knew he would indulge himself, eat, gain 40 or 50 pounds and then (try to) sweat it off to make 147. That was my plan from Day 1."

    -Sugar Ray Leonard

"After the Montreal fight, I ballooned up to 230 pounds. I was really fat. But Don King made an offer my manager couldn't refuse. They appointed a doctor to be with me and he just drained me. He was giving me diuretics, sleeping pills..."

    -Roberto Duran

  • I recall watching this fight live. This was a re-match between the two. In the first fight, Leonard said publicly that he could and would go toe to toe with Duran. He did and lost a close decision. He said when the fought again, he would fight his own style.

What you see is Duran walking away in frustration when he was unable to put together any good combinations on Leonard.

Duran was never quite the same after this fight.

  • Roberto had "ALREADY" proven he could beat Leonard..... He just took the stance; "I came to fight, not run or avoid, I came to fight.. Obviously Leon was afraid of that"..... nuff said...

  • cant blame duran for quiting who wants to fight a clown like this?

  • Comment removed

  • @cbaldwinjr first u dumb ass negro, duran is panamenian, not mexican, and second u cocksucker, mexico is the number one world power this days, it's all about the balls, not the chin stupid monkey. us negros just have one fighter who is "regular", and by the way is the ultimate coward, and yes, i'm talking about gayweather, usa is such a embarassament right now in boxing, specially with all this negroid bums just running away from real challenges like chickens, and crappy performance like hopkins

  • @IceColdDaddy44 As I recall, his dad was Mexican and mom was Pamamanian. He was raised in Panama, corregimiento El Chorillo.

  • @IceColdDaddy44 Mexico is a world power ? Well thats news to the entire World..

  • i think mayweather will do the same to pacquiao...he will outbox him coz he can't go toe-to-toe with him.

  • Did Duran not seemingly have the shitters which also made him want to stop?

  • I can't believe there are some dumbasses who base their opinion of Duran solely off this fight....and by the way when duran quit the scorecards were even. Ray wasn't really doing a whole lot except jumping around and clowning.

  • @Cbaldwinjr u fucking idiot duran is from panama. Keep ur mouth shut if u dnt kno u punk ass bitch

  • He wasnt mentally in the ring....

  • that's what they call a legend... a quitter cause he can't.win .bullshit

  • BTW...Larry Holmes doesn't understand it

  • @MegaBigthumbs Yea his a HALL OF FAMER!!! Leonard was running like a bitch so Duran got frustrated and said no more, Duran wanted to brawl with Leonard not hit and run like a coward,,Duran left his mark in the history of boxing and is known as one of the GREATEST, even after this great disapointment he kept boxing when everyone thought he was done but he proved us all wrong and still won world championship belts,,,Know your FACTS before you say something next time!

  • @ElClavoGuey323 You're an idiot. He was getting his ears boxed off...running implies he left the ring and literally ran out of the Superdome. Typical spic...there's nothing cowardly about hitting and not getting hit. Only dumb Mexicans think there's any kind of manhood in leading with your chin. It's PRIZEFIGHTING, not Mexican cockfighting. Ray Leonard outsmarted your all time legend and he didn't have the sense to adjust. SMH...your Hall of Famer quit because he was being embarrassed.

  • @cbaldwinjr

Brilliant. 'He ran all night' is the refrain of savages, not boxing fans.

  • @cbaldwinjr I'm a Mexican-American but I'm gonna admit Leonard beat Duran fair and square in this fight but you still can't deny that Duran is still better than Leonard in terms of P4P and please don't be stereotyping that all Mexicans have less knowledge for the sport boxing because my dad's been following boxing since Ali comeback from his 3 year exile.

  • he isnt our legend, he is panamanian

  • @cbaldwinjr Why do you have to bring race into this conversation bitch!, Theres no reason for that. What im simply trying to say is if you want to beat the Champ you have to show him you really want that Belt and bring the fight to him, To show him that you really deserve that Championship and will beat him at any cause.Leonard also did the same thing with Marvin Hagler..Even to this day Hagler himself said Leonard beat him in a cowardly way...

  • AND THIS DUDE IS A HALL OF FAMER WTF IS GOING ON NO OTHER HALL OF FAMER DID THAT BULLSHIT

  • Funny how a bunch of losers on here calling duran a bitch, this guy would break your fucking jaw with a jab! and anyone who steps in the ring with ray Leonard aint no fucking bitch.

  • lol those counters are awesome

  • he doesn't understand it

  • How many more times is this guy gonna say I don't understand it lol

  • Hey some times you just gotta stop when you know you ain't gonna do shit to your opponent, I respect the fact that he was man enough to admit this.

  • Roberto's a bitch with a no heart idgaf what he wanted the fight to be...Of course your opponent isn't gonna fight the way you want to fight you dumb fuck it's called WINNING

  • @thefury187 its easy to say that when your behind a computer especially when you aint dont shit with your life you should watch the the rest of his fights then you would be ashamed of yourself for making such a statemen noob

  • @Raiton45 Dude shut the fuck up learn how to fucking talk before you start trying to talk shit "you aint dont shit with your life"? Are you mentally retarded or just dumb as fuck Im only 24 and I've probably done more then you've done in your worthless life kill yourself Duran is a pussy just like you

  • @thefury187 i dont give a flying fuck all i know is that your a piece of shit.bet you wouldnt call duran a bitch to his face even tho he is 50 i bet he would still beat you like the bitch you are talking shit behind a computer like a little bitch.go fuck yourself twat

  • Respond to this video...i bet thing you have achieve are worth hog shit

  • Gimme a fucking break all of you. Calling a fighter a pansy for dancing is ridiculous. Leonard was wearing Duran down. Duran knew he was screwed and quit. You wouldn't call Ali a pansy for dancing would you? How about his rope-a-dope with Foreman? Leonard deserved to win and would've won had the fight continued.

  • @cschnei08 Exactly! It's boxing, not fighting.

  • @cschnei08 duran was past his prime here!

  • this is a perfect example of why boxing is not all about power and aggressiveness

people who don't know much about boxing think its just a street fight and the tougher more macho guy always wins

  • YOU UNDERSTAND ??

  • duran came to fight not to dance like pussy gay leonard / I never liked gay leonard

  • Boxing isn't all about power and speed its a all about strategy Leonard had a good one he had a reason to come out in this fight the way he did and durable quit no matter how much a person is doing in a ring you don't quit point blank.

  • @2414kels Big talk criticizing a man who retired with a 103-16 record. Fighting in the golden age of welterweight boxing fighting 3 greatest of all times in the weight class.

  • Was this shit on ABC? See, this is what's boxing's problem. Quit the stupid pay per view crap and put it back on TV/cable.

  • Leonard didn't make duran quit..sheesh. To say duran hated boxing is just silly he was a great boxer that outboxed great boxers.

  • It's so obvious to see that Duran was not the same in this fight compared to the first. Totally differnet! In the first fight Leonard fough a little more flat footed, but it can also be said that Duran forced him to fight that way with his RELENTLESS pressure. He just kept coming! In this fight Sugar used the bigger ring to run around and clown, and Duran was in no shape to chase him. You can't tell me that all of a sudden SRL's boxing was so much better just months after the first fight.

  • @panamazus yeah, i mean its a cop out cause he quit, but it looked like duran just needed to take a shit.

  • i don't know the clear story about this fighters but I guess duran have some good reason why he simply quit

  • all i see is sugar ray backing off...

  • duran was asked who he thought could beat leonard, and he replied" a farmer can".A farmer,? why? Durans response "theyre use to chasing chickens". he prepared for a brawl not to chase a chicken shit.

  • @sweetdizzl Maybe if Duran wasnt eating so much to balloon to 180 then had to drop loads of weight for this fight...maybe he'd won. Ray for an excellent fight BOTH times. Its called the SWEET SCIENCE!! Not, Stand there and get your head bashed in to please some fans. He got into Duran's head. Game over! Both are legends in my book and would destroy the cats out today

  • @sweetdizzl its true...same shit with that piece of shit floyd mayweather

  • Duran wasn't prepared physically or mentally for this fight. He had to drop from 220lb to the welterweight limit in a short time, it took a lot out of him. And after all that he had to "chase" Leonard which he was in no shape for.

  • Still rate Duran as the greater figher of the two. Leonard was bigger, quicker and a lot fresher for this fight. Duran was smaller, slower and had 70 or 80 odd fights before he fought Leonard so the odds were stacked against him and still beat him the first time. Leonard great, Duran LEGEND!

  • @mairtg1977 how dare you relegate Sugar Ray to just great, Sugar Ray was just a big of a legend or even bigger than Roberto 'no mas, hit a fighter in the balls to win a title' Duran

  • @lickstickly haha dont get your knickers in a twist, as I said Duran LEGEND!

  • It's a good strategy but it's just not fair that when Leonard or Ali do it it is fantastic, but when Floyd does hes a pussy

  • I heard a story Duran was so cramped up, his handlers had to surrond him in the middle of the ring, while he took a number 2 in his spit bucket. That's a funny story if indeed it's true.

  • @jogman262 Shit bucket, LOL!

  • Comment removed

  • LOL no mas

  • hoodhefnna dude ray is known for boving and weaving dude and he was scoring more points and while ray was ready to punch roberto just said fuck it i quit

he was pist that ray wasnt making stupid mistakes or doing what he wants him to do

  • Comment removed

  • I heard that roberto had gained a lot of weight after the brawl in montreal

and leonard could see the opportunity, leonard immeditely wanted a rematch

with duran because he knew duran would have a hard time sweating off all

that weight. so basically duran was not at his best in this fight.duran asked for

a rematch and never got it

  • @antonceta1 he got it but it was like 9 years later

  • @antonceta1 ray is too disciplined and loyal for that my friend i heard that before but it is just a rumor

  • @antonceta1 yea that is what happened. i think they are giving Leonard to much credit

  • damn that ring looks like big hockey stadium..

  • duran is a chicken shit..u dont quit in a fight [liston did it ]

  • Smh I can't give ray credits for this fight smh

  • @dapperdonmilli wht not? he made the man quit,,, end of.....

  • Roberto Duran wanted to fight not deal with Leonards Monkeying around! I Cant believe mafuckas called this a Victory and Leonard felt winner. he got tired of the running Monkey around and bofoonery!!!!! GTFOH

  • @hoodhefnna you fool,,,, he quit, he gave up,,, the key is to hit and not be hit,,, i love roberto he is in my top ten of boxing greats,, but he quit...

  • Only someone like Ray Leonard would be satisfied with a hollow victory like this. Duran knew Leonard was turning the fight into a popularity contest, and you couldn't win a popularity contest with SRL - just ask Marvin Hagler!

  • @Danazawa

Precisley what happened, no other way to say it.

  • lol Duran's demeanor - " If he's not gonna fight then fuck the fight, i dont box".

  • Ray is way overrated in my opinion...Real boxing fans wanna see toe to toe action like classic fights such as Morales-Barrera and others..Ray's style worked for him but I'm not a fan of his style and bores me everytime I see him

  • @agui8430 Thanks for telling us real boxing fans and boxers what's up. Fighters in the Mexican style are fine and dandy, but you can succeed in that style as a marginal athlete, whereas Leonard's style requires a lot more athleticism and finesse. I'd rather watch a talented athlete box than some thick-headed quitter like Duran fighting.

  • @agui8430 your a idiot,, even great boxers rate ray,, so i guess u dont box, so you would not know wot a class act he was,,, and even now he can talk and not stutter like some boxers who got hit too many times...

  • @7haglar Hagler was hit by bombs that would have put Ray away for good, and he talks perfectly fine and intelligently.

  • I don't understand it.

  • Leonard looked marvelous in this fight.Had this been the leonard of the last fight, duran would have gotten the biggest beating of his life.Ray stood at the perfect distance and did exactly what a self preservasion guy does to brawling boxer/punchers.

  • its weird how some people dont like leonard he was a great fighter his record is one of the best 36W(25 KOS) 3L 1D thats a fantastic record for 40 fights pro even if he had some controversial wins a win is a win

  • @KYMAK

Like you sas a win IS a win. But it's just that Leonards career seemed coveniently movie-like, as in scripted. For example, the 3rd Duran fight, the Hagler fight and the 2nd Hearns fight. I really don' think the boxing purist see him past his tv. image.

Not that he he did'nt have skills, but its as if the media forced upon him the telveison persona of the recently departed Ali. Was'nt Leonards fault, but he greatly bennefited from that as much as from his boxing.

  • @6400az I see where your coming from it's like the hero always win type of story but I seriously think in the third Duran fight it was coincidence and the Hagler and Hearns fight were decided to just please fans. That being said I still think he beat Hagler even though they both threw hella hits so it was hard to tell through the camera angles which ones really landed. If I was to rate the Hearns fight I am a fan of Hearns to so I think that was a bad call they shoulda had a third to settle it

  • @KYMAK

Both the Duran and Hearns rematches HAD to happen, but where held about TEN years later??

The Hagler fight, THAT was an example on the hero always winning ( media darling points). I just don't think Leonard should have been awarded that fight..Not being sarcastic, but if it would've been an amateur fight THEN he wins fair. He may have hit Hagler more but they where taps, it was more of a track meet.. Hearns won the rematch, just no doubt. That scoring was outrageous!

  • Another weird event in sports history....

  • Frustrated and in bad shape, he just quit. Too bad. Might of been another epic war if Duran's desire to win again was there.

  • @smimot TRUE TRUE, I feel by this time he was just tired and bored after all those years.

  • @onblock7, another factor may have been Duran's decision for a Leonard rematch only 5 months later. Duran went on a well deserved glutton fest and put on so much fat that he exhausted himself losing it to make the fight. Money in the bank, a full stomach, World Champion. Train? Yeah, I'll get to it. Despite everything, Duran gave pro boxing some of it's greatest chapters for all time. No one like him.

  • @smimot Why did he do it then? Money I know, but if you hate Sugar so much and want to beat him atleast go out there into shape and try hard! It seems he half asses it before the fight more than he should have, Sugar did not. I agree he is one of the best ever, nobody is like him! Still he quit in a fight like this and thats there forever, can't take that away.

  • @onblock7, agreed, that's there forever. We all know that Duran despised Leonard before and during fight 1. Anyone who saw that fight can't deny it. But after that it's seems to me Duran mellowed out too much toward the Sugerman. He hugged Leonard almost immediately after the rematch, which I don't remember, and surprised me alot.

  • If you can't mess anyone up and you are a professional boxer then I really don't know how you got there

  • I can understand Duran's frustration. Of course, Sugar Ray's strategy was to hit n run. Duran simply got pissed and had enough. It's understandable, it's also in bad sportsmanship but I wouldn't call the guy a pussy. Roberto Duran could fuck you up even if u were 300 pounds, guys who knew him outside the ring knew this. Yeah Sugar played it safe, but he didnt decimate Duran, he just outsmarted him, as he is a great all around fighter as well. It was just a great fight that had a very odd ending.

  • Duran has loaded gloves. Plaster of paris, hands of stone.

  • Roberto wanted to fight. Ray wanted to box. And Roberto hated boxing lol.

I think Duran expected this fight to be like the first, where Ray went to-to-toe with him. When he saw that Ray decided to dance and move he just said "fuck it" and bounced.

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage

That's pretty much what happened. he said, screw this shit and quit. It was probably his way of telling Ray Leonard what he thought of him. If one is having a discussion and you deem the others retoric ridiculuos, you walk away....what's the point.

I always thought Marvin Hagler was temted to do the same in his fight ith Leonard. I know he would'nt have but at some point he must have though, I signed up for a fight not a track meet.

  • @6400az It is his style and how he won some fights! Gotta give him credit there bro! His style was this fight.

  • @onblock7 From the point of view of winning a losing, I guess if that works for him. Then you gotta give him credit, yeah.

BUT, it's this type of fighting that has kept Leonard out of all time top ranked fighters lists.. Never seen him ranked ahead of Duran.

  • @6400az I have not seen him ranked above Duran, but when they mention greatest boxers of all times he is sure on a list! Sugar is a legend IMO, not the best ever but was great at what he did! I am a fan of both of these guys BTW., they along with Hearns and Hagler made the 80's legendary and it won't be mathced.

  • @onblock7

    Hmm? Well, kinda.

He's on lists alright, but the problem with Leonard is the media / tv. hero thing. Wich many, openly acknowledge..As far as him being a legend, all of us fans have our particular favorites.I do think he was good ,I don't think he's a legend but rather, very popular. I was also a huge 80's boxing fan with Arguello , Duran, Hagler, Hearns. There was a star fighter in just about every weight with the exception of the heavies until Tyson arrived.

  • @6400az you crazy,,, of course hes a legend,,, you cannot say crap like that... i guess you never boxed?? cause most of the greats of the 80s rate ray as a great a legend,,, so i will go by wot other boxers of that era say,,,, not you....

  • @7haglar

Well, I think you should go by what I say. I too am a legend of the 80's.

So chill and apologize for calling me crazy, THEN we'll talk !!

  • @6400az well if you are , then i apologize, but come on man the guy was a great, just look at his fights, i know he could dance and show off, but man could he fight,, i was watching the Ayub Kalule fight with ray the other day, ayub caught him with some lovely hooks and jabs, ray could of stayed out of reach and looked pretty, but he stood his ground and fought the guy toe 2 toe,,, give the man his dues, he was a great,,, so who are ya? Mr legend of the 80s???

  • @6400az and please remember the art of boxing is to hit and not be hit,, people tend to forgat that nowadays, they want boxers to go toe 2 toe and prove wot men they are,, but most of them boxers who follow that pattern are now very sick guys who cannot talk right and are mostly broke,,, i i too boxed, not as a pro but as an amature, took me all over the world and i met many legends, they all said ray leonard was a true great...

  • @7haglar

Well justified..........but what about my apology!!

  • @6400az sorry ...

  • @6400az now who are u??? Mr legend of the 80s???

  • @7haglar

Well, you have to consider the Ted Bundy's, Jeffery Damers' and Ron Artes' of the world. So I'll take the 5th. I'll tell you this, and you can decide:

--Do you know of anyone who has saved over 40 people from drowning??

    --Was a musician

--Stood up to much bigger roid ragers.

--Drove a spanking new 1984 Camaro.

--Won a grant to paint the birds of Trinidad

--Almost made my varsity team as a backup kicker...( that was in the late 70's so it does'nt count.)

    There's more....

  • @6400az have no idea??

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage what a faggot

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage ur right....sugar was backing up all fight and only looking to counter..frustrating

  • duran dijo ala prensa de panama que ubieron varios actos de corrupcion que hicieron perder varias peleas en su carrera pero que no puede desir.

  • roberto duran said in a interview he didnt even train like he use to for this fight .

i think he just thought he was unstoppable and got lazy but in his best days he would of swept sugar

  • @angelo171 just like naz/barerra

  • Well, you never quit a fight. Look at the embarrassment Tommy Hearns suffered during his fight with Sugar Ray and he kept fighting. To me, Hearns is a champion because of his actions. Duran is a lazy coward.

  • If I remember right, didn't Duran have a broken rib, or something?

  • @MisterRobespierre He claimed that he had stomach cramps but his manager said he quit because of embarrassment.

  • When fighters who are considered invincible punchers fall behind in a fight, they quit the first time things dont go thier way. This happened with Leonard-Duran II (Duran quit), Liston-Ali I (Liston quit), Tyson Holyfield II (Tyson intentionally disqualified himself by biting both of Holyfield' ears). Its easy to be a tough guy when you're winning. When you're losing though thats the real test of heart. Neither Duran, Liston or Tyson ever came from behind to win a fight.Instead they all quit

  • Ray ran jabbed and bear hugged all night looong!

  • @junior1497 and thats what made duran quit

  • fools duran said i dont want to fight with this clown anymore

  • @Bankaiuser233 He might've said that, but he quit from embarrassment.

  • i dont understand it. said it like 50 fucking times, he doesnt want to fight you fucking idiot

  • @KillingJoke696 loooooooool

  • Ray was not going to box on his toes all night. He was building up his confidence, and starting to find the proper distance which he was beginning to do. Watch the last 25 seconds.

    1. 1:01 - Ray lands a counter left off the ropes

    2. 1:14 - Ray lands a clean right hand

    3. 1:19 tp 1:22 - Ray lands 3 jabs and a left in close range when Duran grabs him

    4. 1:26 - Ray lands a straight right hand

Ray is clearly about to start opening up on Duran. You could see it coming

  • Ray boxed for 7 rounds. In the 8th round unless your blind...SRL is beginning to stand flat footed and find the target. The difference is instead of fighting close range, Ray is keeping the proper distance, but still flat footed. Watch the last 20 seconds.

Ray is beginning to open up and stay flat footed just before Duran quit. Larry Holmes commentary is horrible in the 8th. Ray is nailing Duran those last 30 seconds of the round.

  • he is not runing, its called outboxing.

  • Comment removed

  • Duran quit because Sugar wouldn't fight, he just boxed and ran and Duran's frustration got the better of him.

  • I don't have sound on my laptop, but could someone please tell me why did Duran quit? ( o _ 0 )

  • @willie33040 oh you didnt hear he quit because he had to go screw your mom. like right at that moment. DOH!

  • I was there in New Olreans 1980......I knew Sugar Ray was going to win that fight. No way he would lose the 2nd fight. I won $500

  • lenord runs too much

  • Those were the good days of boxing. Sugar Ray Leonard was mad. The boxers today are so shit, compared to those back in the days.

  • im not gnna make fun of Duran i would not step in the ring with sugar ray

  • "Making" someone quit is different, he just quit, I don't believe it was because he was hurt. He quit because of a different reason which is unknown.

  • @indio2dr yeah he wasnt hurt i think he quit befor he did get hurt

  • @indio2dr somebody in Vegas and/or somebody connected go to Duran. He got paid big to quit. There is no other reason a proud man like Duran would quit for nothing.

  • @indio2dr Money talks

  • You know what there is no shame in qwiting. People realise they have lost.

You get bad cards, you can see you have been forced in chehk-mate. BUT YOU

DONT QUIT BECASE YOU ARE TIRED OR BECASE IT WILL BE DRAW ENIVEI

THAT IS HAWING NO HART OR SPIRIT, OR DESIRE TO WIN.
