Just have to say after playing guitar for many years I was never able to get some of these Fogerty licks right until I found your site. Thank-you so much. You are so concise in your material. Appreciated...Joseph
Awesome job on everything so far. Could you explain the method used for youre right hand with the muting of the strings for Looking out my back door please? Ican only produce this sound with bar chords. I created a google account just because i like youre videos so much! Also could you please do a video on the solo for Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash? Great videos keep them coming.
@xscotty1990 Fogerty uses everything from Teles to Lesters to Ernie Balls to PRS's. Google "john fogerty rig" and you'll find a great website with pics of his gear.
Great lesson, thanks man. I've always wanted to know how to play that solo. It was very cool of you to think of playing a few bars of the rythm chords for people to play over.
To those offended by my use of the word "annoying"--all I meant is that this song has been played so many times on the radio that those people who are sick of it might overlook the great guitar work. Of course I like the song or I wouldn't have chosen it. It's Fogerty/CCR--of course it's great!
THANKS!! Been dyin' to learn some Fogerty style. The moveable chords shapes are confusing to me. I know regular chords, power chords, pentatonic scales, but when you watch live performances I'm always confused as to what the heck they are playing when they do chords higher up on the neck (besides bar chords). This is starting to make sense!
Ditto the comments that you are soooo good at explaining this stuff that I have never found so clearly done anywhere else. Thank you!!
