Nice work! I like how goes kinda Reggae at the end! I just bought Maschine and am having some trouble with set up. I have a 003 rack and have no idea how to get sound from Maschine to my monitors as the monitors are obviously hooked up to the 003 rack. Plus the sound is distorting when hit a pad! Any help would be AWESOME! Im an amateure you see ;-)
@zayemusic its not possible, but you don't need to import them just add the desired plug-in on the audio track your recording maschine too...1.6 will allow you to load VST plugins into maschine, which will be nice....but no protools (digi) plug-ins are VST they are RTAS
Good shit bud. I could hear Aesop rippin this. But quick question, when maschine is being used as a plugin in pro tools, do you still have all the controls at your disposal? It looks like you do with the track mutes/solos, but does everything work or do certain functions only work in standalone mode?
It can't time stretch which is why the MPC is such a beast .. its time streetch algoritthms are really do give tracks that 'flava'. This thing is too straight for my like-in
dude thx so much good track but what was super helpful was the how to bus it over b/c i had it running over project io mix and everything was great but couldn't get it record. Saved my blood pressure - will send url fro track when done
i set up two tracks in PT, one instrument track and one audio track. the instrument track is bussed to the audio track. i then open macshine as a plug in through the instrument track and record-enable the two tracks.
Excellent! quick question my friend...can you import a Pro tools instrument plugin into the Maschine? very important for me to know this...i'm getting mine tomorrow! :)
Hi surehead, thanks! I haven't tried using PT plug-ins via maschine, but I'm pretty sure you could control them via the midi from the maschine. If that doesn't work you could always sample a sound (e.g. a piano chord) from PT into maschine and then map it across the pads.
@ljs8888 i just gotthis n im super lost im tryn to learn howto make beats with this its almost impossible have no clue ehat im doing right now please give me some tips or somethiong i would honestlly really appericate it thx
Without this video I would have never figured out how to get Maschine to work with ProTools. Thanks for the tip, bro - and nice track!

TheGgrind 2 years ago
@TheGgrind is the akai cheaper? if it is then its better this is just a Fancy Midicontroller.
dawoof 1 year ago
@dawoof this is cheaper, and it can actually do everything an MPC does and then some

Hey man, how did you get maschine into pro tools?
Rewire won't pick it up, and maschine by itself will not recognize my interface so I cant use my monitors.
