  • GOOD VEDIO

  • Arteries take blood away from the heart. Veins carry blood to the heart.

  • Bronch "i" or key?

  • Your choice. Most people use the long I sound, but that's not as close to the way it would have been in Latin. Don't get hung up on pronunciations, there is usually more than one way to pronounce many words.

  • But I just watched and noticed her referring to a right and left bronchi. It should be noted that the singular is bronchus.

  • Blood vessels that return blood to the heart are called veins. Blood vessels that transport blood away from the heart are called arteries. RED blood vessels represent oxygen-rich blood and BLUE represents oxygen poor blood. In the lungs, oxygen-RICH blood travels TO the heart in order to be pumped throughout the body. The blood vessels shown in blue are therefore arteries.

  • She is correct

  • everyone has this all fucked up

  • The blue are the veins and the red are the arteries. You got it backwards

  • no deoxygenated blood BLUE is pumped to the lungs and by def any blood leaving the heart is in an arteries,,,red is veins it's different in the pullmonary system.....

  • Blue = oxygen deficient

    Red = Oxygen rich

Pulmonary Artery is Blue because it is leaving the heart but oxygen deficient

Pulmonary Vein is Red because it is entering the heart and is oxygen rich

You can't just say blue is veins and red are arteries...it is not accurate.

  • Respiratory System

  • I enjoyed your video it was very educational and would like to know if you would like to post your video on:

    The lungchallenge . com

We are volunteering at the Lung Association and want to educate people about lung disease and procedure. Thank you DR

  • I didn't know the lungs weren't symmetrical. Interesting stuff!

  • i know hey wats up w/ the pencil!!!!^_^

  • ...NO ... the blue are veins, the red are arteries. remember the Cava and Aorta anatomy positions.

  • dear w1chy

you are almost right but in the lungs and fetal circulation the veins are red and the arteries are blue. belledame28

  • ok... but you have to explain the reason because of this. RED indicates high[O2] within arteries (except pulmonary and fetal) youre right. BLUE indicating [CO2] like veins ... sorry if offend you!
