  • new age muscle gets better gas milage then alot of imports... evo,s2000,sti get about 24mpg highway, which is SAME as mustang gt, z28/transam corvette get 28mpg. Look up some of the #'s you will be suprized...

  • Sounds like my old car with a couple less cylinders. This makes me miss my grand am.... It never died I just sold it the cops have a hate for it for some reason... High stall was awesome on it and the idle sounded sorta like this till it warmed up to 3200 rpms. I just put high stall to it instead of cams. The sound is what I miss and the instant throttle response pulling and gluing me into my seat.... Meh inspired memories from a sound goofy eh...

  • @TheShred89 Probably because the 5.0 cars hand the M3's their ass in almost every aspect of racing. Especially in the 1/4. You should do some research before you make a stupid comment. All you fanboys need to GTFO...Imports as well as domestics are great in their own ways. I own a DSM (91 Laser RS) and a 85 Mercury Capri with a 351c swap. I love anything thats fast and has had time and effort put into it...BECAUSE I'M A REAL ENTHUSIAST AND NOT A FANBOY.

The 4.6 was a very good OHC motor as well that could also withstand fairly high boost, like the new 5.0. Let me ask you something, is there an import street car that can run 6 second 1/4 mile passes?

  • i dont see why people bash cars at all, the truth is a car is only as fast as your wallet is deep, any car can go fast if you put the time and money in it. my opionion is id reather have a muscle car over a import, but i also owned a import, so i respect both, so i dont see why it needs to get into the stupid bickering about what cars better.

  • To all the haters that find this video: just shut up. Us import guys don't bash your muscle cars...MUCH... I personally respect anything that goes fast. I also enjoy good fuel mileage and the fact that my 15 year old car runs better today than it did leaving the factory.

I live near an interstate, and a few months ago, I saw a Civic heading towards Atlanta, it sounded like a frigging leaf blower. there is a difference between a properly built and tuned car than a wannabe. Ricers do not strictly drive imports! that engine sounds impressive. But what will it do?

    some online store sell fake skunk2 cams. it may work but you dont know about its reliability and durability.

    theres a few fake one people are selling you can be aware of that. its hard to tell a difference too.

  • Kids and there muscle/import bullshit. You're ignorant if you cut your choices in half when purchasing a vehicle based solely on whether or not the car is foreign or domestic. Chances are the Americans will come out with a least one properly performing and/or reliable vehicle that suits you just like a foreign car might possibly have something like a big V8 that fits your needs sometimes. It's fine to have a preference, everyone does, but I'm stressing to be opened minded and less ignorant. =]

  • @MangoSmoothie16 LS/VTEC is a b18 block from an integra with a vtec for example b16 both are dohc but the b16 head has vtec

  • @MangoSmoothie16 LS VTEC is an integra non vtec block ( THE LS BLOCK), with a b16 or, b18 vtec head ;)

  • ls vtec is taking the B18A, B18B, or the B20 non vtec blocks, and it's mated with a vtec head either from a B18C, C1, C5 or the B16A heads from either integra GS-R's, Type R's, or Civic Si's. It is a B series, both head and block. nothing comes "stock" Things have to be modified to make the match work.

    Who said anything about cams? Of course cams would make complete sense. My Stage 2 Brian Crower turbo cams, got me an extra 30whp. Vtec becomes a lot more aggressive with the right cams and valve train upgrade.

  • @MangoSmoothie16 they call it ls because a ls integra does not come with vtec... so saying lsvtec is clarifying that your b series motor was not born with vtec... youve swapped a head from a dohc vtec mill... Though i hear people refer to any non vtec b series motor with a vtec head this way its supposed to mean you gave your ls teg vtec. :)

The ls version has slightly more displacement but its hardly worth mentioning... its missing a block girdle that honda claims prevents block distortion at high rpms as well as the piston oil squirters that reduce friction during vtec... the block girdle can be had on ebay for cheap... no piston squirters though.... the ls vtec would save you 800 or so and smoke less though it wouldnt last as long in theory

    the best yet weapon yet, ford mustangs 4.6 and 5.4 liter DOHC engines. like you putting two b18's together as one. we can get over a thousand hp with these engines.

Engine wise i think mustangs are reliable, they just don't last nearly as long as a honda. my last car, a honda accord got 236,000 miles before i sold it... No mustang owner truely expects this mileage.
