i feel sad for him cause he was only 15 yes he killed 4 people but that doesnt make him an adult and it it pretty safe to say that 111 yrs in prison is a life sentence have u ever known someone to live to be 126 yrs old
Wow, I've heard of Columbine, but I never really knew this full story. If he hadn't been tackled by those very brave kids, this could have been one of the worst shootings, and the perpetrator would have most likely committed suicide, and couldn't have been questioned.
@AlmostDutchman He didn't have the chance to turn the gun on himself, but it seemed his plan may have been to commit suicide by cop. He was tackled and held down by several students while he was reloading his rifle. After they wrestled the rifle away, he shot one of the boys holding him down with one of two hidden pistols which the boys took away.
I was a 1st grader in Gresham on May 21, 1998 and just remember being so sad that people had gotten hurt without really understanding what happened.
this is BULLSHIT, if he was insane and already had counselin, wtf did his parents buy him guns??? and not only that, if he was being bullied, i dont blame him for what he did, some kids just NEED to learn that u cant f.ck w/ erbody
@AlmostDutchman he tried, but police didnt let him do it... he had a bullet taped in his chest... he said it was for him...... Kinkel's story is one of the saddest stories i've ever heard ):
la gente le tiene miedo a estos casos, y el miedo les genera rechazo y ese rechazo un odio y una ira y desean hacer un montón de cosas (a veces más crueles que lo que hicieron los 'victimarios')... intentan demostrar que tan enojados estan para así sentirse lejos de 'esa gente'... pero 'esa gente' es como nosotros, es humano igual que nosotros y nada nos garantiza que el día de mañana alguno de nosotros seamos los que esten en este video
'we' show our anger just to feel way to far of these ppl.
I was there... scariest moment of my life... I heard shots but I had NO idea what happened until the ambulance came... I thought it was just a bad joke... oh God...
@Xelastic See, I understand what your saying man. I'm not one of those people who scream "Burn the fucker, arrrrghhh!!" But seriously, you cant save everyone, you cant prevent a serial killer. You can blame it on bullying and torment or whatever, but the fact is; many people have faced the same torment, and bullying or even worse, and somehow manage to not kill everyone around them. There's only so much you can do. This kid was evil. You cant hold every kids hand and tell them not to kill.
Same here. Until I watched a documentary in class the other day, I'd never heard of it either. Probably because more people died in Columbine, and I guess that's what people want to hear about...
All these shooters are human trash. If I was caught in the middle of a school shooting,I would grab his gun, tackle him or do something to try to stop him,and put the gun to his head and say,"If you even try it,I'll blow your fucking brains out."
I hate people like Kinkle. They all can go to hell.
@TylerPHS Before he kills you first? You better hope you can walk behind him without him seeing you, because you have no idea, its not like the movies budd, this shit is real.
@TylerPHS Would'nt 111 yr.s constitute "life"? He'll be 126 by then,if he lives that long;(everyone knows he'll never get out anyway,despite a "no' life sentence).
He confessed thats why, but I pity the boy. Its kind of fucked up if there is a god, and people are born with schizophrenia, psychosis or whatever the case. its not really their fault. but its also fucked up, that people died. :c
@Egsthefreak123 I know right?I mean, this kid might not have killed people if he had some better parents and more friends. If I was at his school,I would have been his friend, because some people just need a friend.
I note that you make no mention in video of the real reasons behind Kip's rampage killing @ Thurston: Paranoid Schizophrenia with "Command & Control Voices" & deep Major Depressive Disorder. U can check out the learned opinions of the defences expert psychiatric witnesses @ sentencing.Drs.Wm.Sack & Orin Bolstad. Go to PBS.org 2 see what they say. As 4 the killing of Kip's parents they were more like "mercy killings" 2 spare them the grief of knowing what he did the next day (cont'd)
at Thurston which he knew would destroy them & cause them endless suffering & not bcus he feared that they would be socially embarrassed by his being expelled. Kip loved his parents & needed to spare them that suffering. All shootings & killings were driven by his psychotic mental state at the time. Having all those guns at his disposal played a big part too. I know most ppl say guns don't kill, ppl do. This is my last comment on this tragedy.
@sweetismami28 we shouldn't just be stopping kids from bringing guns to school we need to stop them WANTING to do it all toghter. schools will to safer if schools look for the warning signs of stuff like this happening.
@supersonic320 yeah? and how are you supposed to do that? chase and harass the goths and nerds like they did after columbine? There are no warning signs you can look for, for every weirdo who shoots up his school there are millions of weirdos who don't
people are about hate and violence these days then act like they care about the victims and justice.
schools these days are full of kids that are full of hate. bullies, gangs, etc. and if you are an invisible kid then other kids will torment you to kill to kill yourself.
everybody is silent until after shit like this happens.
I remember this tragedy vaguely. I remember when it happened but don't remember much after. I was in high school then so didn't follow it much though I recall being with my mother where I live in Virginia when a Special Report on the national news came on. I am on this video because I am researching for my own information before having an opinion, when local schools where I live should expel students and when its an over reaction. RIP to the victims of these terrible tragedies.
Jebman: If you call having paranoid schitzofrenia and severe depression being "perfectly sane"... Besides, really, who of us is the same person they were at the age of 15?
when i was about five i remember having this loud and crazy scary pounding at my front door. i heard a scream and my mom answered the door this lady ran into my house with blood all over her. the guy who was shot in the head was standing right br his girlfriend when he was shot and that girl was now standing in my living room.
i lived right across the street from thurston high school. that was a pretty crazy and horrible day.
@kayliannbroadsword wow....thats insane.....i remember his face in the newspaper scared the hell out of me. i guess hes in medium security prison now, and he's almost 30. crazy how time flies. i was like 11 when it happened.
The actions of these boys are not justified but we can understand that they are a consequence of a sick society and the environment the boys where all raised in. You cant blame them and it's rather pointless to do so but we can try to understand why they would do that and attempt to change things to prevent such things actions from repeating themselves. A learning a experience for all of us.
@nixxikenkel202 Kip was an insane homicidal killer. How do I know this? Because my stepfather was a teacher at Thurston High School at the time. He wasn't injured, but it was still a horrible tragity. I live nearby Thurston High School. RIP to Kip's parents and the 2 students.
@oldblubblub he wasnt an insane homicidal killer i was only confused and scared and its was his dad fault for giving him the gun and amunition + he had at school and he didnt use it untill they found out he had the gun and call 911 he didnt wanna dissapoint his parents anymore and it didnt help he was always compared to his sister
@MrCupid1992 yeah, I don't care what people think about getting expelled. I was a horrible student untill I got expelled. I had maybe a gpa of 1.0 in freshman year by 10th I was in a homeschool program and now im a 4.0 student on honor roll and going to graduate on honors this year.

a tragedy is something spontaneous..
This all could have been prevented, but no one gave a fuck
so anybody that got hurt were either in the wrong place at the wrong time or had it coming for them...
