Also wouldnt this design benifit greatly from gears? Lastly I watched all the videos but never saw the actual design of the motor-wheel-battery design, any chance I can get a close up of the actual workings?
One generator is fine for normal workouts - but not for sprints (the drive wheel starts slipping)>
Two generators is slightly less efficient (twice the motor resistance losses, twice the motor bearing losses, twice the roller friction losses - and yet in a SPRINT, the overall power output of the PPPM is essentially doubled. While roller slip limits a single generator to 130-150 watts, the total achieved with TWO generators was 265 watts. With twice the effort, of course!
great thanks for the reply, the outcome was about as I had assumed. twice the effort, roughly twice the outcome. I had the same Idead when thinking of one of these about the flywheel. My next question is do you think you would benifit from a substantially heavier flywheel? Possibly only adding a few weights in key spots of the rotation to your current design.

It may seem old fashioned to you. It's called "exercise." We still do it in 2007. Well, some of us do.
