  • I hate to hear that Pat passed away. He always would write or call my dad when the cwg was in east texas or western louisiana so we would come out. We ate supper together with him and Roy Carter a few times when he was in our area. He was a great man and Im sure you miss him. My dad passed in 2007.

  • Pat was my Dad. He was the signature tenor sound for the Gang from 1956 until 1963, then again from 1977 until 2002. He passed away in January 2004.

  • God bless their memory, they've blessed me for many a decade.

  • Amazing - no fireworks.. no huge band.. no angry or pained faces - Just a guitar and some of the best harmony to Every come out of gospel music.

    True pioneers - love it!

  • I attended many gospel concerts when I was a kid seeing the Chuck Wagon Gang. Anna's son...Greg, and I did some concerts together in the late 60's early 70's. Hope all the CWG families are doing well. God bless !!

  • my dad is annas grandson and howards grandson they are know as the everetts now

  • My mom passed away Sunday July 11. Her voice was so much like Anna's. My mom, dad and uncle used to sing this song years ago.

  • Love this song, and it's nice to hear the Original Family of Gospel Music singing it!

  • Yes, this is three of the original Gang and I love it for the rare glimpse of Jim after he retired in 1953. I also enjoyed his pre-1954 accoustic guitar over the electric of Anna's husband, Howard, (or any other electric since) but that is probably just nostalgia of the original sound. Wonderful video!
