I think the problem with the Russian armed forces is lack of training, since they still use the draftment system. If they had professional soldies(people that dedicate their life into it) with many years of experience they would be much more deadly....

@thethreelions3 That was true 10 years ago but if you are up to date with current events you would know that the Russian army is already in the process of a huge rearmanant programme at a value close to $500 billion dollars, many of Russia's Soviet equipment is not out of date, for example T-80 and T-72 tanks are just fine given a upgrade package especially the T-72.
Even with their tanks arent in same league as challenger, abrams, leopard or leclerc. The sukhoi and kamarov introduction arent really replacing there old equipment choppers and planes, there just gettin a few new bits of kit and thats all russia has ever done it will leave the rest to rust again. the navy also is decreasing in size and many either have or are being retired.

I wish all those dumbasses who are stripping our armies off weapons here in Europe would watch this video. Nowadays European armies are so poor that without American support Russians would occupy whole Europe in a month. @thethreelions3 That was true 10 years ago but if you are up to date with current events you would know that the Russian army is already in the process of a huge rearmanant programme at a value close to $500 billion dollars, many of Russia's Soviet equipment is not out of date, for example T-80 and T-72 tanks are just fine given a upgrade package especially the T-72.

I wish all those dumbasses who are stripping our armies off weapons here in Europe would watch this video. Nowadays European armies are so poor that without American support Russians would occupy whole Europe in a month. And now even here in Finland many people think a reserve of 50 000 men would be enough because "there is no real military threat anymore", and are cutting 200 million euros of our defense budget, while Russians have doubled the amount of their active troops near our borders.

There is a clear difference in Russian army soldiers and Western Soldiers. Russian has equipment that was made in the 60's to early 90's, and when we see Russian soldiers on pictures and in real life we see them without ammo vests, body armor, no helmets and usually no scope or some other high tech optics, whilst Western armies have all the previous stuff and some more, the armies look modern and high tech whilst the Russian looks like a unprofessional band of poor people from the 70's.
