You seem like you're into melody: have you heard Element of One or Reject yourself? Have you heard the harmony riff played in the second half of Rose of Sharyn? If you havent, take a listen to these songs and tell me what you think. if you have already heard them in their entirity and they're not your thing, its cool. Just making suggestions.

just a fyi, the way he plays it in the video instruction, isn't the right way to play it. Its different on CD and I don't even think they ever played it live. There is no video with them playing it from way back. Its like an awesome song they never play. You can tell he hasn't played that shit in awhile, he messed his own riff up.
