The only movie in existence that could be both PANNED and PRAISED by critics all over the world. Some give it 0 stars outta 4 others give it 4 stars outta 4. Go figure!
You can practically smell the stink of head coming off the screen when he's driving thru the desert with it in a box in the back seat. Brilliant movie. Tarantino before there was a Tarantino.
P. has made a string of fantastic movies, it´s practically impossible to say, which one´s his best (I can´t, don´t dare).
But one things is sure: ALFREDO GARCIA is definitly his DARKEST movie, I can not remember ever having seen any other as pessimistic movie as this one (with the possible exception of THE WITCHFINDER GENERAL by Michael REEVES).
Breathtaking violence, but all logical bulid-up! Peckinpah was the true and unmatched master of psychological violence (see STRAW DOGS)!

@wmjahn Is there even one character in this movie who is not an homicidal maniac who would put to shame Joe Pesci in GOODFELLAS?
