P. has made a string of fantastic movies, it´s practically impossible to say, which one´s his best (I can´t, don´t dare).

But one things is sure: ALFREDO GARCIA is definitly his DARKEST movie, I can not remember ever having seen any other as pessimistic movie as this one (with the possible exception of THE WITCHFINDER GENERAL by Michael REEVES).

Breathtaking violence, but all logical bulid-up! Peckinpah was the true and unmatched master of psychological violence (see STRAW DOGS)!

CREO QUE LA VI EN TELE CUANDO TENIA mas o menos 15 años y me parecio una de las peliculas mas fuertes y con mas tension que habia visto en toda mi vida, creo que peckinpah fue un grande ya que tanto ésta como la fuga o la pandilla salvaje o los perros de paja y la cruz de hierro fueron todos una mejor que la otra
