@TigerBlaze07 This was in late '94, where KISS toured South America as headliners on the touring Monsters of Rock festival dubbed as the "KISS My Ass Tour" in which the band did in fact use "Leon" The Sphinx from the Hot In The Shade Tour (which you pointed out). The band appeared in the mouth of the sphinx after the curtain concealing the stage dropped, as in the Hot in the Shade Tour, but the sphinx didn't sing "God of Thunder" on these short tours, nor did it shoot rockets from its eyes.

And I prefer the original line up quite a bit as well. Doesn't mean I'm gonna shit on the other line-ups though.

Fact is: Tommy and Eric are apart of KISS. If you don't like them, you're not a true fan of KISS. KISS should be celebrated, no matter what era. Tommy and Eric are both more successful than you'll ever be, so I don't think you have the right to bitch about how "good" they are or not. 'Nuff said.

This version rocks! But I still prefer the version on East Rutherford '00 first. In the case that the drums have a big part in this song, I prefer more slacked drum play. No offense against Eric Singer (I love him), but I think a slower version sounds more exciting.

i think its because the tempo is slightly faster and Eric is palying a bit on top of the bit and tight. The bass also sounds like a carefully executed fart

Nah, the Gene version actually gives the impression of thunder rolling in the background...
