Aside that I do not consider post Waters albums and shows as PF, this is a great solo bass. In fact, for me is more PF album Amused to death than Momentary lapse of reason... Amused to death follows the line of PF previous albums.
I only recently discovered "One Slip". It's one of Pink Floyd's best tunes from the 80's and "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason". I think this song should've been a bigger hit on radio than "Learning To Fly", even though I like "Learning To Fly" too.
GUYS I AM IN LOVE WITH THE LITTLE SHORT GIRL ON THE RIGHT SIDE!SINCE THE FIRST TIME WHEN I WAS HER IN THE VENICE CONCERT I REALLY THINK THAT SHE IS MY KIND OF WOMAN!!DOES ANY ONE KNOWS WHAT IS HER NAME?
It is so sad that it was never released as part of an album as I bought the Video just for this song! Still, you are my all-time fav band and good luck to you all.
Because of a contract dispute with CBS, Rick Wright was not technically a part of Pink Floyd for this album, but was only a backup musician. Is that why we only see him for literally a second while we see Jon Carin as much as we see Gilmour?
On another note, this album seems like it came out yesterday, yet when I think that Rachel Fury is now 50, I do realize that time has definitely gone by.
Viva Gilmour-era Floyd! As good as any Floyd that came before it.
The most amazing performances of these songs that have ever been captured on video and CD...Would give just about anything for a full DVD of Delicate Sound of Thunder.

I purchase A Momentary Lapse of Reason in 1988, actualy was my 1st music CD and still have it and in there on title #4 is One Slip. Perhaps you refer to Delicate Sound of Thunder Live CD, in this concert they performed live this song and was included on VCR and later on DVD, but was not included in the Live CD. Thanks for the video.
@pepejfc I am referring to the double album Delicate Sound of Thunder, it was the last Pink Floyd album produced in vinyl as first medium but they didn't put One Slip on the vinyl, just on the VHS of the filming. It has never been released on DVD officially . Delicate Sound of Thunder is the live recording of the tour for A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
I can't get enough of this video. Thanks for putting it up. Agree w/the commentary about never getting this sound with Waters in the band. I love it all, but thank goodness Gilmour took the freedom to cut his own wake.
The rhythm section is awesome; Mason solid and steady, while Wallis and Pratt are off the chain!
I was an 18 year old college student and a bunch of us saw them on this tour at Tampa Stadium, my first Pink Floyd concert. It was a phenomenal show! Ah…the good old days…sometime I miss em.
A very 80's Pink Floyd, and yet it has a charm and energy that they would never have had with Waters in the band, treading new ground and trying new things.
you have to ad mit though, Jon Carin had ver big hair..... ;-)
