i really dont like this cover. the singers voice doesnt change tone like marc's. i mean thats ok if you do it with your own things i guess. but what made T.Rex so good was that his voice was pretty much magical making his music what it was and still is. magical.
where is this album from? i do not see it listed on Cruxshadows website and have been unable to find this song but it is excellent! the closest I have found vocal and musical is by sapphire rebellion?
@WINTERBORN6 Echoes and Artifacts was released in 2001 from Dancing Ferret Discs, is not a compilation album- but a full-length studio album by the Cruxshadows which only contains a 2:11 ratio of cover songs.
For those of you who say this version is not as good as T.Rex's version is a matter of opinion. Rogue had created it to fit his style of musicianship and pays homage to the late, great glam band T. Rex.
they are too different to compare. besides the lyrics, they have nothing in common. im not saying this version is bad or anything, but i dont think you should compare the two.
@Charler990 where is this album from? I do not see it listed on Cruxshadows website and have been unable to find this song but it is excellent! the closest I have found vocal and musical is by sapphire rebellion?
the cruxshadows did not write the words, and if you read this songs lyrics you might be impressed with the interpretive metaphores. but yeah this version is soo different that i feel like it is almost a different song entirely.
@IoEstasCedonta THANKYOU!!! i SWEAR looking all over to find this song by this group and yet its nonexistent the actual song and vocal is by sapphire rebellion aand tim curry is vocal.

@Sundermize The Cruxshadows' style of music calls for a lack of vocal tonality. Most (if not all) Gothic bands have this in common.

Echoes and Artifacts was also released as Intercontinental Drift.
also the CD is not all cover songs.

I prefer this version. You can actually dance to this version, I think the original is a little too slow.

This IS a Cruxshadows song. It's a cover version of the T.Rex original. In my opinion, this version is superior.
