@Gam3rsAR3c00l Instead of doing the foot wrap, sqeeze the rope between your feet and thighs, and then pull lifting the knees as you pull one hand over the other staying close to the rope. Remember to stay close to the rope and walk the hands down (never slide). You will look great and never think you look stupid in class! You're all there to learn! Good luck!
@Sevenamazinggymnast1 Hey! Yes, one hand over the other is how I climb when I don't do the foot wrap, when I'm teaching a gymnastics class, or when I climb without legs. However, the way I teach in the vid is the easiest way for a beginner to get up the rope...using one hand below the other on the way down to gain strength. I appreciate the input! Have fun climbing!
so what kind of rope is that, how thick is it? and whre can i get one just like it so i can start climbing?(im asking because the one i bought is very slippery and i cant climb it lol its one inch)
@crimen Hey! Sorry for the late response. You can get some rosin at a dance store, put it in a sock, and pat on your hands. This will make it stick. Or, if you go to norberts.net and go to the climbing ropes, you will see two brownish tan ropes and a white one. The manila one is the best! The other tan one looks ok also. I don't know how much it is though? Hopefully not a million dollars! Have fun climbing!
Ok thats a good way but i dont want to look stupid in front of my class
