Tashi Delek Techung, i grew up enjoying your performance in TIPA, as a group and later your personal albums. Many of your songs still gives me goosebumps because i feel the pain, frustration, devotion in your songs. And the best part is you have maintained the originality of traditional Tibetan tunes while exploring other sides!!! when i was young, i thought tibetan songs sounded corny but now i am 20 and as music as my salvation, i'm really seeing the importance, our pride, our duty to preserve the tradition. i'm trying music as a side career. when i realized the pentatonic scale is also used in mainly tibetan music like the blues, it took some learning of music theory for me to realize that we use the same scale as the blues. now it just sounds so good to my ears. as youngsters, we always think parents music is corny.
