  • @fatimat18

This car will NEVER be used to train any driver in the US. This news worth reporting but your sleeping journalists you are proud of are not reporting so the politicians dont care to find a solution. Enough of blind love for country.

  • Typical Lagos. Bode bakare is somehow right. You will feel when you are speeding. You don't need a speedometer feel the difference between doing 50kmh and 100kmh. However you cannot use a car like that to teach someone how to drive. But that's what they all use in Lagos. They reason the learner will bash up a new car. So they use a battered one. I can assure you that Bode has a nice car he drives privately.

  • I don't know why Nigerian officials accept unmarked roads from the construction companies.Every road in Nigeria used to be marked until about 1986 during the Babangida era. With years of total neglect of roads,Today Nigerians are thankful to drive on any smooth surface even if it were not marked.

  • "thank you very much"

"you will feel it, anything you do you will feel it" ha ha.

  • "you will feel it"; "'everything in the car, you will feel it"; LMAO. How can you feel the speedometer and turning signal and side mirrors?

  • A COUNTRY FULL OF NIGGERS!!!!! LMAO

  • @savannahblk your such a racist...and I'm white

    smh

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL i love my people...how are you suppose to drive with no side mirrors?? ah ah !!!!!!

  • Why do we NBigerians always want to blame the West for saying the truth about the bad state of this coubtry?. The truth is that nothing works in this former British clony called Nigeria.

  • LMAO NAIJA DRIVING SYSTEM !

  • Christian Purefoy - "How am I suppose to drive on a Lagos road without side mirrors, without indicators, without even a speedometer?"

GOBE BAKARE - "YOU ARE GOING TO FEEL IT NATURALLY"

    LOL

  • @Akinwande8 i am laughing here too. that s nigeria 4 u. lol

  • @Akinwande8 ha ha ha ha ha ha hillllllllllarious. Its amazing how we need to have an outsider come to show us how its done.

  • @Akinwande8 Isnt that the same concept with Ferrari where feeling the car is the ultimate pleasure?? I love his response though!!

  • I still don't understand why we no fit draw line for road to take separate lanes. Wetin na? Is it that hard?

  • @danibef I don't know oooo.

  • Comment removed

  • There is no doubt that road accidents are excessive in Nigeria, but they are worse elsewhere in the third world.

  • CNN no dey kuku get better thing to say. So so bad bele. Abeg waka!

  • a car with no speedometer? Answer:everything u r doin u in this car,u feel it!!!!

  • yo, fuck this reporter: henry watever...ask him how many fuckin white people can afford to buy a nice car by payin fully cash!well nigeriansdo that, they struggle n do things 4 themselves even tho they dont get no benefits or government aid compared to the so called english people ! idiots! xtraodinary fools! go find cure to hiv aids n co. u guys invented plz!

  • all u sayed is so tru! Thumbs Up!!!

  • im so fucking tired of the western media and their bullshit. why dont they talk about unsafe roads in india, china, anywhere in asia. or even in south america.

CNN and their oppresive asses always want to talk about the negitive side of every country but their own.

i am waiting for the day when CNN will make a story on the wonderful tourist spots in nigeria, and the beautiful landscape nigeria has that half the people dont know about.

fuck CNN and their oppresive news.

  • WOW he said KAYODE just about right!!!

  • lol, this may happen ,but why do i get the feeling this guy wants it known to all that Nigeria is onsafe and pityful, just listen to him at 1:28

  • ROFLMAO

  • "10% of road accidents happen in africa" what they forget to menction is how africa is a freakin CONTINENT not a country or a city. plus its made up of what, 53 countries? plz

  • killyourself and make a favor to the planet be green not black jajajaj ha and plant a tree before you exterminateyourself you are a plague.

  • if u could drive on nigerians road u could seriosly drive any where

  • Can someone shut that dude's mouth....na true but i doesn't affect us...But the driving lesson funny still....

  • did u guys notice how the car just happened to break down right next to that bridge giving him room to talk about our unstable roads. I think this was a bit over exagerated and dont u get stopped by police for not have seat belts and stuff 4get not having a mirror that car was exagerated

  • Huge load of crap. Just another white dude desperate for a promotion

  • I understand our roads are bad, but this is not acceptable! Is it possible that any sane person will learn to drive with such a car without side or rear mirrors, lights, tyres, proper break, gear or accelerator? of course not, beacause he is probably learning nothing! Again, how can a car that drives up to 20 people a day break down after such a short distance covered? i wonder how much the guy was paid to paint Nigeria black ones again. CNN should leave us alone, we have had enough from them!

  • let the truth be said , all said on this story bout nigeria are absolutely true , u want things to improve and yet u are trying to deny the problems,b4 i left nigeria some 15 yrs ago i got a drivers licence without steepin out of my house and without even knowin how to drive, so how is cnn painting a bad pictue about us. We sld learn to bring out the problems and try tackling them it a monumental shame to still see my nation nigeria like this.

  • i will not trade words with u cos u left Nigeria 15 yrs ago. i have lived in Nigeria and i wear the shoe more than u do. U did not understand my arguements so pls read my comment again. i accepted our roads are bad but i disagreed with the said crap car used in learning. The report is trash!

  • first of all the key word is 15yrs ago bro. the problem isn't acknowledging the issues in Nigeria. THe problem is that that is all pep show about africa. the problem is is that in the uk and else where there are car crashes all the time, but they use this crash as a vehicle to promote how bad nigeria and africa is

  • this is a joke..people havehummers ranges and freaking mercedes benz is like a main car..they got benz dealers vw dealers. The jetta is the main car for vw..wtf is this..people dont drive crap cars like this...i lived there and we never had any accident..this is a joke..the raods are bad in some places in other places its good..like on main roads and expressways..

  • bullshit haha lol.

  • junge1984..can you just shut the fuck up....why don't you guys mind your own biz at the first place..EMPTY BARREL MAKES THE LOUDEST NOISE... act like you know when you don't even know jack.

  • fuck CNN.....bunch of retards,,like ther country got the coolest roads, always wanna come up with some lame stories . all countries got the own messed up roads and nigerian dont have the worst..punk ass white retard..tellin me my countries road aint good,,fuck you,,,go back to your country and try be smart.and shit,,,fuck cnn, fuck them,,,,,....NAIJA ROCKS.....

  • If you are so concerned why can't you and your govt help.Nostril talking reporter.God will punish all of you spreading bad news about nigeria and nigerians.Devil reincanates!

  • help yourself... if we help, someone will complain that we're 'interfering' and have no business there. why should we help? use the oil money.

  • These features detract from the fact that you can see crappy roads and poverty like that right here in the US of A!!

  • our poverty is nothing like the poverty there. our poor people have it made compared to these people.

  • I'm sorry, but I don't believe that the road conditions in Nigeria have anything to do with poverty. Nigeria is an oil rich nation, they can afford to fix those roads.

Here in the US, it's the same thing. In my city, we have gov't officials making 90k a year to do nothing but chill out all day, drive free cars given to them by the city gov't, yet, the homeless population is out of control, crime is out of control, and the streets are crap.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

  • o pls america has d largest amount of homeless pple.nd there's still gonno be more just wait till d war is over.

  • What a stupid feature. 10% of auto accidents occur in Africa; how about the other 90%?!

  • america

  • Amei esse fusca!

    I loved this bug

  • I can't stand CNN because everything you hear in their news is nothing but a flat-out lie and who is that white man that is trying to act like a genius when he's not

  • I am a nigerian and disagree with cnn lopsidedness on this matter. That banger of a car will never be used in a driving school in lagos. it is all staged by cnn in order to make it news worthy. The roads may not be in their best shape but that doesn't mean lagos roads are death traps. It is the drivers who most times are not qualified to drive and may be under the influence that cause some of these accidents. Cnn why look for a a banger of a car to make your news?

  • This is the sort of news from CNN.and who told him there are no road signs, street lights and etc.And who says that the driving school is registered?Nonsense!

  • "Everything you do in this car, you will feel it naturally" I guess they felt the flat tire in a very natural way....That's a load of crap! That car needs to be on "PIMP MY RIDE"....lol

  • lmao .. u funny .. but for real that ride is so fake another propaganda.. i mean i know our roads might not be safe but this looks like a pure act ..U are going to feel it naturally .lol

  • this is so unfair and untrue... i used a really nice car to learn how to drive... then again who would learn hw 2 drivein such a vehicle... dats a suicide attempt if u ask me... so much still has 2 b done... naija rocks!!!

  • This is what you don't seem to understand... these people aren't crazy nor suicidal, they just CANNOT afford a better car. I lived in Africa for five years and believe me, lots of people there live in a state of poverty that you can't even imagine, if you're lucky enoughy to live in a rich country. They drive in such vehicles because they don't earn enough to buy better ones, that's all. Please show a little compassion instead of judging without knowing!

  • where d hell r u from? wat part of my post suggested that i'm judging anybody?...

  • Let me quote you precisely: "who would learn hw 2drivein such a vehicle... dats a suicide attempt if u ask me". Well, THAT's a judgement if you ask me, and I answer to that judgement: NO, these people aren't trying to commit suicide, they're just trying to cope with their poor living standards. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings -- just wanted to point out a sad reality that is too often hid in our rich countries.

  • By the way, I am from Quebec (Canada) and in my country, of course, nobody would be allowed to drive such a car -- but, then again, the less paid workers here earn as much as professionnals over there, if not more. I don't think it's fair -- yet, it's the world we are living in.

  • I'm from Nigeria and i've lived here since i was born (almost 3 decades now)and even though people still live like that, many others don't. All the western media tries to do is potray Africa as soooo horrible cos they are too scared to come to terms with the fact that Africa is the greatest continent in the world and that we are getting there...all we need is more time dude or dudette!!!

  • Agreed Western media loves to draw attention to the negatives, However, what you see is real and it is the truth about the conditions of the roads. Like you said we need more time...and I beleive we will get there one day.

  • Dont draw up conclusions till u get ur facts or arguments right...as for the amount u think they earn, i suggest u go to the streets of Quebec or any higher institution in Canada and count the amount of Nigerians there paying thousands of dollars much more... tis not about earning more but about being able to cope and trust me we can and we'll continue to...

  • I have absolutely no doubt about the ability of Nigerians -- and Africans -- to cope with anything that could possibly happen on their weay. I lived in Cameroon back in the 70s, and I have only good memories of the people there. As a matter of fact, I'm a great admirer of Africa and its people.

  • Being from Nigeria, you certainly understand that what I'm trying to expose is the form of exploitation that allows big corporations -- mainly Northern ones -- to earn colossal wealth by stealing oil and other natural ressources from you people, leaving only crumbs and destruction/pollution to the natives.

  • now ur feeling me... i believe we r on d same page now... where r u 4rm?

  • Just one of the many collaterals of poverty. Sad.
