Wonderful song to get back to, year after year. It one of the most beautiful songs featuring Chris voice and bass. This is a song that I feel truly captures Chris his YES identity not requiring Jon. wow this is such a beautiful duet! i'm not too crazy about boys and girls together though. it's really pretty with just girls. i sang it for church and it was just so beautiful! i was the night of silence part. pretty song! night of silence is a lullaby from mary to jesus and silent night is describing the night he was born. gorgeous!

@ggoddu2 it is a fact, though, that Jon said in the YesYears documentary in the 90's that when they were getting criticism over Close To The Edge, some of the critics were saying 'The next thing Yes will do is put the bible to music!' Jon said 'Alright, suckers! I'll show you! It can be done.' check it out. ;)

Listening to this song, here on YouTube, is what finally convinced me to go out and buy this album. And I was not disappointed the whole thing is beautifully done, and a joy to listen to.

I remember singing this in my dad's old church choir during Advent. Usually, the women in our choir would sing "Night of silence" first, then my dad and I, and the male part of our choir would come in with "Silent Night" underneath the women's part..it was amazing how well the two songs melded together. Always loved singing that with them.
