The first AvP movie I actually liked. But yes this film just just the whole teen stuff really spoilt it, and the characters were mostly flat. One thing I do like this film for was, it just doe not hold bk on the stereo types that get killed. Father and son hunting, The annoying teen guys, Innocent woman in kitchen, pregnant woman in hospital reverse birth death!! That bitch teen girl slut who cudnt make her mind up which guy she wanted, the deaths r just awesome. Best thing bout it really lol.

This is the worst movie I've ever seen. Even the title is stupid. Why does it have "Requiem" in the title? That has nothing to do with the plot or anything. Did the film makers know what that word meant or did they just think it sounded cool?

The whole film is almost pitch black. I suspect that the Alien and Predator costumes must have been very cheap so they had to hide them or something. I really wanted to walk out but my mate wanted to see it (the only reason I went to it).

Completely disagree with Kermode deeming Predator 1 and 2 "rubbish". Predator is a fine, tense action/science-fiction/horror and Predator 2 is, for my money, even more enjoyable.

Think of all the great set pieces in Predator 2; the opening shootout, the attack on the Columbian drug lords apartment, the subway scene, the slaughterhouse ambush, the last confrontation between Danny Glover and the Predator...

@EmpireLS56KW The original Predator isn't all that great. It's got Arnold, being Arnold, a bunch of generic soldiers and an Alien (not that Alien) hunting them down. It's quite entertaining, and can be considered a classic for what it is. But it's not on par with Alien. Or Aliens for that matter.

About "ALIENS"...I really, really, need to mention "Star Ship Troopers"? yeah, H.R Giger is a genius and the conception of Alien is cool, but remember...Aliens it's not something that you can call "genuine", but something that have a design out of standard.

In another words the design made for "Alien" was genuine, and that design transform "Alien" in what he is now in this days...A great movie.

No, a classic sci fi thriller in which Schwarzenegger is actually good, and a great modern day monster, and Predator 2, one of the finsest sequels ever made, and extremely underrated. So, sorry, but shut up Kermode. @terrycharnley I completely agree. How anyone could consider Predator to be "rubbish" is beyond me. It is one of the greatest sci-fi/action films of all time. IMO it's better than some movies that come out today that are in the same kind of genre. Kermode is wrong when it comes to Predator. He is kind of right about AVP though haha it sucks. I wish they would make the movies based on the games or the comics, not these other things that are going on.

the games were pretty good as it was set during the aliens time frame with the marines still having futuristic technology its simply the aliens film with a predator in it and the stories intertwined but the maain marine, alien and predator never met or fought so everyone won in the end

The thing is, the REAL Aliens vs Predator is a video game. And if a film is ever made, it should be based off the games. Sadly the AvP films are set in 2009, rather than the futuristic setting of the games and original Alien films and games. As a result they are the bastard children of the franchise and should be wiped from history.

Predator IS kinda rubbish. A schlocky, derivative mix of The A-Team, Friday the Thirteenth and Southern Comfort with cartoonish characters, where the alien is so powerful that it barely matters what the team does; he can pick them off at will, except of course Arnie.

It's not in the same league as the better 80s action films such as Aliens or Die Hard. Good concept, good production values, but a somewhat mediocre film.
