  • nice red jacket!!!

  • ok nice red jacket!!

  • Hi piggie7100, Glad you like it!

  • if i welded that slow i would only have a job for bout a half hour...

  • Hi jlee35jl, Well I suggest a man of your experience & speed should upload a video response using the same materials making the smae size of gate! To be honest, I hear all day everyday what people can, cannot, have, have not, do or don't do and it's seldom the case when asked to prove such skills do people actually show me what they are capable of! I work for myself so speed is not an issue, but a good weld is. So far, not one of my gates has failed on a weld. Show us what you can do young man!

  • @DingleZilla i got one up for ya... its under "galvanize tubing..." i couldnt figure out how to respond through a video but you can search it...

  • @jlee35jl

    yeah....that kept him quiet....

  • Great the guys back is facing us when he is welding.

  • Hi SKULL101A, Having viewed your channel & the distinct lack of videos, perhaps you can show us all how it should be done? Besides, I wouldn''t want you to get arc eye! Ha ha ha ha..

  • CAN YOU SAY TACK WELD FIRST?

  • im new to welding. does tip dip improve your welds or just increase the life of your tips. if it makes a difference i am using a flux core welder

  • Beginner Welder Here: What excatly is "Tip Dip"?

  • Hi JFJ212, Tip dip is basically a wax that helps to protect the tip and nozzle from any build up of spatter or other 3rd party material from the smoke given off during the welding process. You dip your torch into the tin of cold wax, the hot tip & nozzle melt leaving a coating that protect the tip & nozzle but still allows gas & wire to pass through!

  • what electrodes i need for galvanized with an arc welder?

  • Hi,SthealthRaider, The same as you would use normally on this size of steel. Just take off the galv as best you can.

  • I was worried until the end you didn't have an essential shop tool...a dog.

Good heavy gate. Did you use flux core or juice?

  • Hi SmokinPHorses, Thanks for your comment young man.

I need Saxon to talk things through with. He hasn't a clue what I am on about but, it's a better method than talking to a gate! Talking to a dog isn't considered "insane" in the UK, but talking to a gate might be! I suppose I could talk to myself but that could end up in an arguement & therefore a lack of co-operation between the right & left hands!

I use 0.8mm mild steel mig wire with BOC Argoshield Mix gas.

    Regards

    DZ.

  • Nice video of your back. Has nobody bothered to just shoot the camera through an auto helmet? Duh....

  • Hi Steve, Thanks for your comment. My back is my best feature/side for all photography or video work. I find that it is more picturesque than my front! I note from looking at your uploaded videos that you think your hands are picturesque, since this is all we can see of you! My helmet is only big enough for my head & therfore a camera will not fit aswell! DUH.... Plus my eye need protection from the light unlike the camera, DUH....

  • Oh and one more thing, your videos only show your dainty pussy cat sized hands and fingers, is this because your deformed or just very small?

  • what mig welder were you using?

  • Hi,

A Lincoln Electric Compact 220 Single Phase. A very good machine indeed!

  • galvanized smoke is bad, you need a fan on that or vacume

  • Hi CRTSHCTR,

There are a lot of puns I can think of to reply with but I would look foolish rather than funny. The smoke is toxic, so complete removal of the gases is the safest way forward. However, in my case the constant breeze and drafts coming into the workshop help to clear it out. I do leave the workshop when I can see a build up of smoke. It tends to drift up and then hang about before dropping & dispersing. Leaving me with an air space and time to escape! Regards, DZ.

  • You mean like at "2:20" when it was wafting all around your HEAD and you were clearly breathing it?... moron.

  • Hello again Steve, It sure appears to like that, but you see I have something in common with other humans unlike you perhaps? That is I can "hold my breath". Then I exhail slowly to avoid problems like death! It's a fairly common technique, like in a swimming pool when diving for an object! What you do is: Take a steady, but long deep breath, then, slowly let it out at a steady pace! Easy in the US you should be able to do this, the air is thick enough even for you, MORON!

  • @DingleZilla Not only can you weld, but you also dispatch idiots fairly efficiently! hats off!.

  • Hi gushhnet,

Thanks for your comment. I try to be reasonable, but when people leave silly comments one has to respond accordingly!

    Kind regards,

    DZ.

  • galvay flu sucks its the worst thing abiut welding anything galvanised.

  • Hi scottc5887,

I have some kiind of cold or flu virus, and have had it for two weeks! And I thought I had Swine Fever/Pig Flu/Bird Flu/Kennel Cough and global warming!!! I said the latter because everybody blames global warming for everything!

    Regards,DZ.

  • why is it so loud

  • Hi dlinechamp78,

The noise is coming from my diesel space heater. It's big, hot, noisey, old and expensive to run but the warmth is worth it! It can be a bit of pig to start it and when I shut it down it smokes the workshop out! Great fun when folk see the smoke and get a worried look on their face! Regards, DZ.
