Yes in the early years everyone suffered. Though in the end I wouldn't say suffer since, now our family ended up with a free 4 story house and an apartment in Ukraine, plus all of us are educated.... Instead of violence though it uses not only economy, but also World war avoidance reason, and through a common need of the people: Socialization. People want Socialization. SO the more they vote for socialization improvements, the more they make the EU more powerful.

The soviet Union was unpopular with countries from the beginning because 1. they thought they were completely controlled/invaded by USSR and had no freedom. 2. At that time, Stalin was known as a Tyrant for his Gulag, 5 year plans, Ruthlessness bullshit, and other negative aspects plus poor life-style in the USSR. The Eu though presents itself as a good socialist country, they are trying to make people want to be in the EU.

The Eu is not gonna be a country any time soon, When we got english as our first language 100+ years from now then maybe but right now the countrys in the union are way to diverse in culture and language. Most people here dont really care what the EU is doing and no one identifies themselves as "European". I would be suprised if more then 5-10% of the people in Europe knew who the president of the EU even is or that we have one lol.

Rubbish? I disagree. And your reasoning that no country will give up it's identity is true....they will just give up their sovereignty. Europeans have little to vote on now past the parties they elect, who then go and do exactly what the public disagrees with. Europe will dissolve into one entity with one President calling all the shots. It's just the beginning.

Yes i did vote for the Lisbon treaty. The EU president has no say in what goes on in my country- my Prime Minister does. I know the bible very well having been brought up catholic and i know all aobut daniel and i also know that the end of the world will come when we least expect it - at leasts thats what the Bible says- therefore since we all expect it then clearly it isnt on the way. What I will go into is how wrong you are about the times we are living in that Jesus Christ spoke about. He told us we would not know the day or hour, but He told us signs we were to look for. So, like millions of people who say they are Catholic, you're Bible illiterate. I don't expect you to have learned eschatology in Sunday school but if you would open your Bible again, the signs are all around you and in the news everyday. Christ said the first sign of His return would be deception of spiritual matters and people mocking His return.
