This attached video clip may not seem relevant however MOST of my problems have come directly from women. I have found a few women locally who are very balanced and believe in equality and enjoyment of our differences. Equality in Australia is POWER OVER men and children.. Until I KNOW better i am seeking the counsel of men over 45 who treat their partners and children decently and are the ROCK in the family. One AUST Media sexual harassment case to which i am linked is fraudulent in CONTEXT.
Heck, not only can we use women who support us but we can use feminist in a way too... by constantly debating them (feminist) online, in the media, and in public etc we will bring more awareness to others that there is a mens rights movement and its "popular now"...
so I say bring on the debate, invite female supporters, have men team up and support eachother, and soon the manginas will follow. We need to march the street with signs & our heads up & yelling fathers are not just ATMs!
I am an MRA, and I agree, we can and should embrace the support of like minded women.
We should definitely not discriminate against anybody based on race, gender or any other superficial trait. To do so would make us no better than the enemy. They preach hate and discrimination, we must not stoop to that.
I disagree with some of the ideology of Barbarosa, but at the end of the day he is a fantastic MRA who has contributed mightily to the cause.
@Razlo5000 I totally agree, but even though I don't agree with the broadness of his incorrect statements they hold maybe an inkling of truth that is important.
My lawyer is a woman, and she helped me get custody of my son and sole possession of the house that I paid for and built for my son. This woman lawyer is helping me shut my abusive, violent bitch wife out of my life. Yeah, my lawyer is a narcissistic woman, and I sure wouldn't want any kind of personal involvement with her (although she is very attractive, intelligent, and good-looking). But she is extremely useful as my legal advocate, and she scores points for me in the gender-biased courts.
@luv2bud Amen to that, again, I don't believe in denying people from the movement based on gender or anything else. If they are capable, they are capable, hopefully exceedingly so like what you describe.
In due time Virtual Reality will be perfected with sensory perception, and information input and output through Alpha Beta Zeta and Theta waves making a lifelike experience. Relationships will be damn near obsolete at this point, and most Men will be ok with this. Women will not be. Men fucked up and created some of the steam in the Feminist movement, but the FM will cause the ruin and suffering of future females deprived of Men to give a fuck about them at all. Women will lose nearly all value.
A couple of really good men's organizations are the National Coalition for Men and the National Center for Men. I would suggest looking them up, if you don't already know them.
To me, if we discriminate against women and refuse to hire them (as was advocated) we are no better than the radical feminists we hate. Give everyone a chance as an individual I say. Male or female.
@pinegrove33 I agree, that was the point I was trying to make. My ultimate goal is equality, not male empowerment like barbarossaaaa. Don't get me wrong, it's important to empower others and I think it should be a part of the movement. But, I don't think that is part of the ultimate goal of the men's rights movement, at least I don't think it should be. And I think that is why barbarossaaaa and I have differing opinions.
I like that you're talking alternatives to marriage. I am sympathetic! I'm seeing some evidence of radical feminists trying convince young men marriage is *good for them.
Interesting and I agree with your point on inherent abilities. However, I think anyone that calls themselves a Feminist of any description, is part of the problem. Would a black civil rights group work alongside "iRacists" or "equality-racists"? I think not. There is room for a men's empowerment organisation exclusively composed of men and exclusively concerned with men's development. Every other group has a distinct identity and voice, why not men? What kind of extremism concerns you?
@menareangrynow Well, in the case of those two individuals, I don't think its accurate for them to be described as "Feminists", even if they themselves use that term. In the main, anyone that does so, is a part of the problem. In fact, I suggest you insert the term "in the main" into my original statement, a reasonable step, wouldn't you say? Far more reasonable, than to ask me what I consider to be, a rudely phrased and needlessly argumentative question.
"I think not. There is room for a men's empowerment organisation exclusively composed of men and exclusively concerned with men's development. Every other group has a distinct identity and voice, why not men? What kind of extremism concerns you?"
What concerns me, personally, is the fact that a organization composed of members of just one group, in perpetuity, is going to exclude potentially competent members based off of meaningless traits. It's very bigoted.
@menareangrynow I agree, that's my concern, especially with the goals drafted by the men's rights activist manifesto, I make it clear that it's not a movement of chauvinism. Bigotry is not the means we should use in order to accomplish our goals.
@menareangrynow I don't consider sex to be a "meaningless trait". It is, perhaps, the most definitive trait there is, particularly in the context of men's empowerment. By this reasoning, a men's club, of any description should not exist as it excludes potentially "competent" female members. As I suggested, there is room for all sorts of groups, with different perspectives and different ideas, and to describe even the idea of a group composed solely of men as "very bigoted" is simply mistaken.
@menareangrynow Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps someone that cares about such a thing can answer you. As for me, I have no interest in extending the point I made about MEN to cover other scenarios.
So you wouldn't care to ponder the ethical impact of groups that discriminate based on sex, race, etc. with me? Suit yourself, but now who's being rude? ;)
@menareangrynow My interests are really quite focused, but to humour you... In London there is a Tall Persons Club with a minimum height for membership. However, the stuff they do (social events etc) are not height-specific and shorter people could do them just as well, but the club rule is that people of more normal height are excluded. I don't think that this is bigoted, nor hateful of shorter people and nor does it have an "ethical impact". Do you? Should we stamp out this evil in our midst?
Considering that their activities are not height specific, i.e. having to be tall enough to ride a rollercoaster, then an applicant's height becomes a meaningless trait. Therefore, yes, the club shouldn't be dismissing short people based off of their size. That is bigoted. As for 'stamping it out', that is a whole other can of worms, but sufficed to say, one would hope they could be reasoned with and see the idiocy of discluding people based off of meaningless traits.
@menareangrynow You confuse a "meaningless trait" with what YOU regard as a "meaningless trait". Thankfully, people are allowed to decide for themselves what groups to form and they don't need to pass your test of meaningfulness. You have a point as regards groups which base their identity on hatred of others, but you go beyond this and into the realms of political correctness. A men's group composed only of men is a good addition in the pursuit of male identity, which is squashed in our times.
@menareangrynow@manwomanmyth There is few thinks I like to share, to both of you. You are both right. We need a movement who fokus, primarly on men, not women, but I want women in the movement, we need women in the movement. We need theyr imput, otherwise we will become like the feminist's are today. In the fem movement, there are lot of men, we can argue if they are anygood and we can agree or not, But I think it is a good idea to include women, but keeping the fokus on men and our rights
"Marriage and contracts"..... doesnt sound too romantic, but thats the reality of it.
