The Rbs out of USC are studs Inc Chauncey Washington is on the ps somewere Allen,Simpson and Freeman mcneill are the best all-time to come out of USC.
@idiotsftw123 Joe Mcknight wk 17 vs. BUF w 14 min left in 4th qtr....23 carries, 109 yds.
Did you really say goddammit waste of a draft pick? Dude's first career start. I had to post twice just cuz your comment was so arrogant and thickheaded. I hope you're not a coach.
Good game kid, maybe now they'll get Shonn Greene's chunky butt outta there...
@swibmasta890 Before you even think of quoting McKnight's performance against the Bills, I just wanna let you know i posted that comment FOUR months ago. That was when a lot of people thought like I did, with him fumbling the ball all over the place and whatnot. Now though, I can say that he has shown improvement and i can see him being a very good 3rd down back in the future. However, before you call me out, check the date of my other comment before you make yourself look like an idiot.
@idiotsftw123 I can make that comment all I want, you called him a "waste of a draft pick" 4 MONTHS AGO and he hadn't even started a game yet....hence ur name.
@swibmasta890 yeah, i called him a waste of a draft pick cuz he had fumblitis during the preseason. He doesn't start for a reason, you know. Maybe if you'd stop riding Joe McKnight's dick, you'd realize why I said that. I even agree with u saying he's pretty good now, which he is, but your still trying to start an argument. And you call me the idiot...
he had a good college career i mean what i think why people dont really think he was great is because they expected him to be the next reggie bush,he wasnt, but he was good, and battled injury pretty much his whole career ,except his freshman year and he really didnt carries that year, look at most college football players little of them were injury prone for more than a year of their career,
I think he'll be a good receiver out of the back field or wide receiver but not a good running back. The dance moves may work in college but not in the NFL. To be an NFL running back you must run with power.
@joshtj44 I would agree with this. At the NFL level Joe is waaaaaay too small to be a running back. He would be able to take a pounding for 16 games. I think he would make it as a defender in the secondary.
@ethermay and we will see how long he lasts. I would rather see Joe McNight play in the NFL for 10+ years as a DB than having a short career being pounded like crazy as a running back.
@ethermay no chris johnson proved he is an amazing back (at least for these 2 seasons) if it could be done then darren sproles would have done it, his team gave him a freaking franchise tag but recognized he was to small to take the beating but chris johnson is the fastest man the nfl has seen for 15 years Joe mcknight runs a 4.5 or 4.6 don't he?
one thing i notice is alot of his runs are wide towards the sidelines, the few times he IS running up the middle he has a huge hole opened up by that really good USC offensive line, plus he's not horrribly fast ( is he? im not sure) and he doesnt really make people miss all that much, im not saying he's a bust but i just dont think he's gonna be like a reggie bush/leon washington/chris johnson, he just doesnt impress me like he doesnt do any one thing great. maybe his vision to see the holes ?
I guess it is what you call good these days. I dont think he is gonna top the charts or anything or be a superstar but he made some great runs at USC and was good enough to get drafted so to me that is good!! But I understand what you are saying. Thats why they play the games. This season will be a good one
Dwill7191: He wasnt that good. Come on man watch the highlight tape. He was obviously good enough to play for the trojans and now the Jets. Quit drinkin that haterade. The man can ball!!
@jhonnybravo32 dwill7191 is right he wasnt that good. he has an extrodinary line is why he had sucess. look at the holes he has to run thorugh any 2 bit fuck who calls themselves a running back could runn through those holes. look at reggie bush yea he was good but he wasnt any where near as productive in the NFL as he was in college. he was good because of his line.
@jhonnybravo32 look at chris johnson not even herd of in college got a shot to play in the NFL and was probebly had best rookie season in NFL history. thats what you call good
Well he didn't meet the media's or the fan base expectations, but for the team he did what he had to do and I believe he had a great career as a Trojan. Well see how he does in New York.
Thanks for these amazing highlight films! Btw Vontaze Burfict tackle fail at 1:26, kids an amazing linebacker though.
he actually did pretty well holding off injuries in 2009. he played all 12 of 13 games this year. missed the last one due to possibility eligibility issues, not injury though.
he's had some injuries in his career, but nothing where he's missed an entire season.
he'll be great for the jets i can just see it now him and kyle wilson be back deep returning kicks .. kinda reminds me of the eagles last year with demps and jackson

@723music i agree man, the hash marks is the big difference he wont be able to just run wide on a stretch to the edge, and he's not exactly a brusier but he does seem to finish off his runs

i believe Joe McKnight could of been the 2nd best running back in this years draft but he had alot of durability issues which caused him to miss alot of time during the 09 season. i belive he also should of stayed another year because lets face it he isnt ready right now but if an nfl team like the giants can pick him up in the 2nd round and groom him he will be good down the road 3 or 4 years from right now. i believe good things will happen for him but hopefully he can stay durable that's all

That's my second favorite RB in this years draft, look at the moves. RB is not all about speed, you need moves and good vision and this guy has it all. I do believe he is way faster than that 4.4 he ran at the combine he a low 4.3 guy and he the only back who had real competition at USC for 3 years. He battled agains Stafon Johnson, C.J. Gable, Allen Bradford, Emmanuel Moody who transferred due to competition, Broderick green who also transferred for the same reason, Marc Tyler.

he actually bounces off quite a few tackles. he isn't a power back, but he can be quite elusive. just look at 1:26 when he eludes to ASU LB's, one of them being a very talented LB in Vontaze Burfict. he's definitely an elusive back and not a power one, so he won't break too many tackles, but he does have the capability to break light tackles.
it would of been nice to see McKnight produce a little bit more, you could tell right away that the kid has it in him to be great. Maybe if he had a better team like Reggie did he could of done more. it would of been cool to have him stay another year, but he made the right decision to leave.
@trubee24 yea, best is beast too. I'm thinking we'll go safety or corner first, then go offensive. of course, reid likes his linemen. I just wish we'd sign peppers, then we wouldn't have to worry about D-line. lol
He looks like he runs harder than Reggie. Mr. Bush played on a way better team; he had a Hesiman winner throwing to Dewayne Jarrett and Steve Smith making opposing secondaries stay deep, as well as Dominique Bird at TE, Winston Justice at tackle, Deuce Letuiu (or however you spell it) at Gaurd....I think Joe McKnight could be a better pro. I'd like to see the Seahawks take him in round three, if they can't get Dwyer in the 2nd.
@calubflower i could see the seahawks takin spiller in the first to be honest. i hope spiller slips to the chargers but i doubt the best rb in the draft is goin as low as 28. could see jahvid best goin to any one of those teams also.
welcome to the minnesota vikings (hopfully) also i could have rapped like this aint nothing special about this and LL probably made hella money for this shit
coming from a titans fan who's seen every chris johnson game, he reminds me a lot of him. seems very paitent and makes people miss with jump cuts. people also said chris johnson was the poor mans reggie bush.
he is a watred down bush at the running game but he is so dangerous rec the ball.. better so he would be a good player if selected by the right team... look at his highlights look at bush bush is faster but he is stronger the run pretty much the same tho
with the continuous evolution of the nfl, with 3-back systems and more rb/wr hybrids he can be good...he would be able to play in the slot and has an occasional rb
yea they did... look at the washington game.... but joe had a nice 40 yard run another 20 yard run for a touchdown in the stanford game which i wish was in this vid

Gable, Allen Bradford, Emmanuel Moody who transferred due to competition, Broderick green who also transferred for the same reason, Marc Tyler.

seems like he cant break a tackle
chargerblue2 1 year ago
he actually bounces off quite a few tackles. he isn't a power back, but he can be quite elusive. just look at 1:26 when he eludes to ASU LB's, one of them being a very talented LB in Vontaze Burfict. he's definitely an elusive back and not a power one, so he won't break too many tackles, but he does have the capability to break light tackles.

it would of been nice to see McKnight produce a little bit more, you could tell right away that the kid has it in him to be great. Maybe if he had a better team like Reggie did he could of done more. it would of been cool to have him stay another year, but he made the right decision to leave.

@trubee24 yea, best is beast too. I'm thinking we'll go safety or corner first, then go offensive. of course, reid likes his linemen. I just wish we'd sign peppers, then we wouldn't have to worry about D-line. lol
kgn8881 2 years ago
yeah i hope we get peppers to. he said we are on his shortlist so its possible if they wanna pay him.

@calubflower i could see the seahawks takin spiller in the first to be honest. i hope spiller slips to the chargers but i doubt the best rb in the draft is goin as low as 28. could see jahvid best goin to any one of those teams also.

coming from a titans fan who's seen every chris johnson game, he reminds me a lot of him. seems very paitent and makes people miss with jump cuts. people also said chris johnson was the poor mans reggie bush.
oceanairguitarforce 2 years ago
he is a watred down bush at the running game but he is so dangerous rec the ball.. better so he would be a good player if selected by the right team... look at his highlights look at bush bush is faster but he is stronger the run pretty much the same tho

with the continuous evolution of the nfl, with 3-back systems and more rb/wr hybrids he can be good...he would be able to play in the slot and has an occasional rb
