Nothing sounds worse than that line 6 pod tone. You can pick it out a mile away; sterile overdrive and that gross floppy bass response. It sounds like someone blowing into a microphone.

thats because the biggest mistake you can make is playing a guitar clean with no bass on your amp. Without bass, I think guitars sound like shit. I have my bass and treble at 10 with the countour on 3 with slight reverb around 3 or 4. Always use the neck pickup or both pckups. This works with all guitars, with or without any gain setting. I have this guitar and a laguna le322 and they both sound great using these settings.

why people STILL buy into that shit..we'll never know. If solid state gear is your thing..randall and peavey are the best. Other than that, stay tube! I bought a Carvin x100b tube head for 229 bucks at GC and its definitely on par with the $1500+ amps. Solid as a brick. Look around people dont waste your friggin money on shite!
