If people were allowed to simply stop paying their mortgage, someone would have to pick up the tab. The lenders would then all fail, because they wouldn't make their money back. I do not understand why something like this cannot be used to house the homeless; we'd rather demolish it for either strip malls or highways--Jerry Jones has a brand new billion dollar stadium for his Cowboys that was financed by tax payers and displaced long time home owners. It would only be just to have this Stadium available home the now "criminalized" homelss. Capitalism!
