I did this in my '03 civic, although I just stuck 2 wires into the backside of the yellow clip (1 wire on either side). You can see where the wire cover is off inside the plastic connector, I thought it would be easier that way. Absolutely FANTASTIC video !!! Thums up from me !!

it can be any kind of wire as long as they fit in both little holes of the yellow plug that's on the back of the fuse box driver side two wire plug black n yellow green hold them together open ignition (no start) SRS light will go off disconnect- SRS light will come on connect again -SRS Light goes off again disconnect- SRS blinks twice then turn off ignition remove wires n connect plug back in place- start car n it will be gone =) --CHAVEZ AUTO ELECTRIC VISIT US:)

the srs light has been on on the wifes 2001 odyssey (ra6 model) and failed a warrent of fitness (NZ) I was quoted $250 to get it fixed, I had payed $50 for them to plug machine in and they said i had a fault in the wiring on the stalk for the seat belt.

I tried this with the paper clip but found it heaps easyer to use 2 speaker wires as you have to be fast with your connect and disconnect when the light goes out.

Any way worked great thanks heaps.

Worked! I had to try a few times. Finally figured out that if I am holding the metal of the wires, it never realizes I've disconnected it because my skin conducts enough electricity. When I got my fingers off the metal, it worked exactly as you said.

First I have to wow! Some people are getting Jerked with outrageous prices to have your Vehicles Scanned. I initially I took it to mine to local Honda dealer for a Scan to find out what was wrong, which took Ohh about 15 minutes. Cost me 8 bucks, they told me what was wrong and even suggested its an easy fix which I can do myself. Will it work on a 1995 Saturn SL2 with OBD1 system? My clockspring short circuited, I replaced it with a new one, and the airbag light blinks 17 times and stays lit. Took it to GM and they told me I need a new SDM (module). They want $950 to replace it...now way is that going to happen. The car ain't worth that much!

Thanks much, just did this on 04 CRV. The yellow plug to jump is located next to the fuse panel, up and to the left a little. Hard to get to without needle nose pliers to pull it out. Then I used a paper clip to jump the wires. You only need to take the fuse box cover off, not the plastic bottom half of the steering wheel cover. That's a pain :(

This just worked on my 2003 Honda Odyssey. Found the plug above the brake pedal, plugged into the side junction box. Didn't work first couple of times because I didn't disconnect the short soon enough. Once I removed the short as soon as the SRS light went off, then all the following steps worked perfectly... no more SRS light!! Thanks... and add the 2003 Odyssey to the list.

I just did it on my Acura CL 3.0 1997.

It was little hard to find out which yellow socket is

MES [Memory Erase Signal] connector. If you look close, the yellow socket that is on top of Hood release latch has no wire on other end. In fact this is designed just for this propose.

The reason that my SRS went on initially was because of replacing the SRS fuse.

It can be but im not sure, ive saw the MES connector in some honda models, almost all of them are under the steering wheel and are identical to the MES connector showed in this video, look for the connector with 2 "holes" on it lol

I have a 2002 CIVIC. Putting in a power amp for my stereo,on 9/30/08. I had to take out the passenger seat. After everything was put back (the stereo sounds fine) the SRS light was on. After looking at the owners, Haynes Manuals and not able to fine the solution. I went on u-tube and found this. IT WORKS and the air bag didn't explode! THANKS
