you need to add that as it welcomed itself to earth it also tore off the head of Dr. Reed's dog. See Mplummer? Add ALL THE INFO and not just parts of the info. So people can see the context, IN FULL, of what you are referring to concerning the Alien being 'smacked' over the head. Then , for the sane people out there viewing your comment, they get a better undestanding of why the Being was hit over its head and knocked unconscious.
