I keep and breed these for food for my leos, but have to admit im kinda attached to them now :) I like the little chittering noises they make hehe

I'd say male roaches first the females need to tend to the colony but make sure you leave enough males to mate

look i love roaches and i get that people believe theyre psts but actually theyre very succusfull insects.i would have some for pets too but i have a roach phobia but not with all roaches ,only americana and black roach.how can i beat my phobia?

it looks like the bark in my "tarantula is hungry" video. It's called corkwood bark i think. Something similar to cork at least.
