i have a pit bull that does that! its definately not dog abuse. He willingly does it without me asking him to. its fun for them!

There will aways be a critique. The dog is not forced to do it. If the dog didn't want to do you think it would hang on. I also swing my bostons, but they let go after a short time. This is far from abuse. It strengthens there jaws.
