Tony Blair was a fine Prime Minister. The only thing however I disagreed with him strongly was the Iraq war. But lets face it: hes not a war criminal. Bush forced him into it. Remember "Your either with us,or your will the terroists?". Well Yeah.
@EvilJohnnyAllen By that logic German soldiers in WWII who tortured or killed innocent people in concentration camps are not guilty of their crimes because they were forced into it by their superiors. They were only "following orders".
@derekxnl Using your logic then David Cameron is a war criminal for bombing the crap out of Libya. Margaret Thatcher is a war criminal for sending our troops into the Falklands. John Major was a war criminal for sending troops against Iraq during the Gulf War. Churchill is a war criminal for WW2. Your just biast against Tony Blair so you use the excuse that he is an war criminal. When at the end of the day, they all are if you think about it.
@vamtim I notice how you have now removed the comment you made about Blair being a 'tyrant'. The point I was making was that it seems contradictory for a 'tyrant' to be addressing a democratically elected body, of which he is a democratically elected leader.
@Makashi11 I actually didn't mean to take down the comment about him being a tyrant!
Do you remember the erosion of civil liberties under Blair post sep 11th? Or are you even British? He (Blair) stated that our civil liberties belonged in a different era, that sounds pretty tyrannical to me.
@vamtim 1. I find it hard to believe your deletion of your previous comment was accidental considering you don't have to do anything with your comments to reply to mine. 2. I would like to see the evidence of Blair saying that our civil liberties belonged in a 'different era'. I have no recollection of such a comment. I for one think Blair did a lot for our civil liberties, especially surrounding opening up the options of the gay community and enhancing democracy in Scotland & Wales.
@lukespencer91 You're an idiot. You do realise that over 600,000 people died? That the UK wasted billions on it? That Iraq is in far worse condition now than before the war? That it had nothing to do with civil rights, and everything to do with oil?
@allenrobinson2012 but the question is what are we gonna do about it? Their is solutions and that is to sustained mass protest and form a general assembly and pressure them to do their jobs i.e. work for us.
@allenrobinson2012 lol i know the three main parties are just factions of the same kind of shit and i know of gordon brown and the uk government being the dutiful lieutenant of the US government.
The world is safer without that regime, and its nuclear weapons programme. Can you imagine if Saddam Hussein had developed a nuclear weapon? With the history of that regime and the values they hold? I don't think so.
I would love to see video where Blair said at the Commons; Iraq had missles capable of striking Cyprus.

@vamtim A tyrant seeking a democratically elected body to vote through his legislation? Uh, no, that's a politician dear.

@Makashi11 Well duh, do you think the fact that they're in the commons eluded me?
Or are you just angry that I'm right? Thankfully Blair's legacy will forever be tainted by this most un-glorious war!

Travel to northern iraq and youll see why the postponed liberation was justified.

Blair was certainly a brave man who acted on principle. It doesn't surprise me he was slatted for it. They'd rathe a slick self-serving politican.
