Hey, @NaturalhairGrowthShow for getting the (natural) hair temporarily straight (a week or so) i.e. pressing use the four steps of Mizani thermasmooth range :)
2. Is that Conqueror by Mali music in the background?!
shes talking about the afro type hair under the extensions.. i get happy when i see those too cause the puffier or longer the curly hair is/the more it grew
You are so beautiful. I have the same type of hair as you. You should try Dominican blowouts. No chemicals and it lasts for a while too. And your accent is AMAZING!!! You would definitely fit in would my group of friends. Stay happy girl lol!
Don't know if you have Dominican Salons in the UK but they have the super hot drier that will straighten any nappy hair but don't go there often not too great for the hair:( and it can last up to two weeks.
sorry i might just have a blond brain or something but i still didnt quite get what exactly did you do to your hair that it grew that much in 2 weeks? you just `relaxed` it? how? uhh, PLEEASE explain it to me.:)
@MadonnaFan2000 she didnt relax it relaxing hair makes it straight and you definitely cant do it beneath a weave. she used the oils that she made i believe thats what she said..some product that she used although she didnt name it??
i have curly hair, but not so much afro (1/4 afro) lol :p when my mum straightens my hair she does it in really small sections because i have thick hair. It always stays in better if you have clean hair. to help it stay in even more try sirum, hairspray type things and make sure your hair is completly dry aswell. hope it helps, if it doesnt sorry, but im only 11 :p
@1389jay to add to that, I've been wearing weaves -which although is supposed to be protective styling- has not really produced hair growth...could you help a sister out?
hahahahaha your hair look a tripod? at 3:37 whoooa!!!you are too funny...hold there is another one let me get the number 3:22 - 3:27- something like ok my hair is c-nap!!!! girl you are so funny...love your videos....no matter how old they are still funny....stay happy and that guy is on the way...LOL
I have 4b type hair and it IS possible to get straight hair for a week. The key is moister and good tools. I use either products from Design Essentials or KeraCare, FHI Ionic Blow dryer and FHI Flat Iron. Do the following:
1 - Properly wash and condition your hair

3 - Apply a heat protectant serum and flat iron hair
4 - Apply something like AVEDA anti-humectant pomade to block outside moister
try a natural coconut relaxer.....well actually don't jus do it.....like research first like you....lol......I'm terrified of it and I dunno if I can pluck up the courage to do it but you could see if it appeals to you...it doesn't straighten but apparently it super softens and moisturises the hair....apparently....

I know this is probably a moot point b/c you said you've tried everything...but have you used a hot comb instead of a flat iron? When I was younger everyone would get their hair pressed with a flat iron...and use pressing oil. No matter what "type" of hair you have, your hair will get super straight. Just be don't burn yourself!!!!
Kudos to you for your hair growth. But just keep in mind that when you braid your hair it does pull too. So after a couple of weeks the distance between your scalp and the start of the braid is not only growth, but also the fact that the extension has pulled away.
I dont mean to discourage you, just being realistic. I wear braids too, and no matter how tight they are they pull away from my scalp over time.
lol ur funny i love the way you talk. but yea about your hair ... im growing my hair out to and i change my styles every other week. with a half wig.! see the thing is you can do any style you want because ur only leaving some of the front of ur hair out and i do this. all you have to do is get some africas best oil or there grease and flat iron your hair. if your flat iron sucks then get a better kind i had to do it its a golden hot but the results are great. ill do a vid one day
i agree with everyone when about NOT relaxing your hair..you will regret it..trust me..especially if you are the kind that gets tired of the same style everyday..there is only so much that you can do with relaxed hair..go to the salon and have them press it there..and then use carrot oil at night and wrap and u will keep that for a good week..try a nice curly weave if you want a change..sis..so much you can do without relaxing..but whatever makes u happy comes first..:-)
A natural hair meet up would be great. I would not recommend you don not relax your hair for this wedding but if you can afford to have it blown out, straightened and styled at the hairdresser. If you plan to do it yourself or get a friend to help you style your hair.
nooo! for perming ur hair! Stay with us pleeeaaase!
Why don't u just straighten it for the event? Of course, make sure its heat protected, but that will last at least a day for the event. Please consider it?
baby girl i have 4b hair ....just dont bother trying to straighten it cuz it takes too longn the results never last for more than bout 4 hours if if its humid or rainy god help you...i loved ur twist out/puff u can dress that up with some flowers or hair clips...btw im relaxed now n loving it
i have 4a/b hair first u should blow out the hair...then run the hotcomb through the hair a few times...then finally use the flatiron lol...i know it takes a lot of heat but thats the best way to get it done....oh yeah dont forget a heat protectant also!
really relax your hair because your potential husband might be there? honey if he doesnt like you for you and not your hair, no matter what state it is CLEARLY he's not the one for you AND a waste of time!
your hair grows faster during the summer than at any other time of year! i use more hot oil treatments at this time of year to maximize on this growth! *^_^*
Oh Sweetie....please consider staying natural....however, definitely do what makes you happy! I don't think I have even seen you in a wig and there are some really fabulous wig styles out there (if you just want to try something new). Wigs have come a long way since the days of my grandma.
Also, have you considered braids, micros or kinky twists?
I wondered if you have a Brazilian salon in the UK. I have seen them do wonderful stuff for African hair. Which makes sense since alot of them are descended from Africa. There is also a technic , Brazilian Blowout. Check it out. It keeps your hair healthy and shining and it can straiten our hair with out giving frizz and it will not sacrifice your texture if you want to go back to your natural hair texture.
I'm the last person 2 try & encourage anyone 2 stay natural, but ur hair is growing so well, so maybe u should try staying natural 4 a little while longer. Not to say that relaxing (or tex-laxing) ur hair will stunt ur growth (b/c there are ladies here on youtube w long textured/ relaxed hair), but growing ur hair out will give u time to learn more about ur hair (which will be beneficial when relaxing)! U can still do something diff. 4 the wedding (i.e. curls/ a loose curly weave) Good luck : -)
I agree with the meet up! I was just thinking I would love to do a natural hair gathering like they have in the US but don't know if it would work here x

1. how often do you wash your weave and natural hair and how do you do it without breakage and left in product?

3. and the way this regrowth is exposing me....jeeeze! how do I fix my weave/minimise this exposure?

I have 4b type hair and it IS possible to get straight hair for a week. The key is moister and good tools. I use either products from Design Essentials or KeraCare, FHI Ionic Blow dryer and FHI Flat Iron. Do the following:
1 - Properly wash and condition your hair
2 - Apply a leave in conditioner and blow dry in small sections to get hair straight
3 - Apply a heat protectant serum and flat iron hair
4 - Apply something like AVEDA anti-humectant pomade to block outside moister
