Gavin is a very talented player, but I (like some other dvd's) feel he comes across like professor, I'm not into this very text book approach to playing drums, drums is all about feel, I don't care what anyone says you can't teach feel.

@RacManRhythm How else would you have him teach people? He is explaining everything perfectly so people can understand him. Also, you probably get the professor thing from his accent, which I actually enjoy.

Also, a tangent about teaching feel? No where in this video does he say anything about that. I believe you are correct, you can't teach feel. However, the more you play, the better you are going to get at it no matter what.

Playing along and learning with him will help you progress faster.
