It's great to see this generation become so involved in the political process. Senator Obama has re-energized the young voter and those who've never voted. I believe it's because he doesn't stoop to the dirty politics of most government officials and he speaks to the citizens like intelligent adults not uninformed idiots that some ignorant people come across as. Does anyone really believe that Obama NEVER heard of his pastor's statements prior to this week or only heard about one or two of them? Come on!! I am NOT am active member of my church and I am 100% SURE if my pastor had ever said that the federal government is giving black people HIV; spreading drugs; or is responsible for 9/11 I would have heard about it.

I believe Barack all the way. What his pastor has to say has nothing to do with what him. They plucked a few clips from 30 years of preaching. I grew up in a church that had a preacher where I didn't agree with everything he said. I have my own mind, and so does Obama. The biggest thing is Rev. Wright brought Obama to Christ...but as always the media concentrates on the negative.

You need to keep in mind that Obama was not always there...as a politician it was probably impossible for him to attend church every Sunday. I believe him when he says he didn't know of this. And TamiPowers is right...those were just random clips they put together.

He never said he hadn't heard about Wright's views. In fact, he said he had heard Wright's views and disagreed with him on certain topics profoundly.

He said he hadn't heard the particular clips that got so much play.
