I have worked in commercial chicken farms. The conditions shown here are not common practice. Common sense should tell you that. Chickens are their life, their money. Much care is taken to make sure all chickens from the day they hatch till the day they are processed are alive and healthy. More live healthy chickens equals more money.
Even though I hate the taste of meat now, I probably would see no problem in eating meat if the animals were treated and then killed humanely. But these animals are absolutely TORTURED. I can barely watch it, I hate to see any living being tortured, even bugs which scare the crap out of me, just kill the damn thing and end it's suffering!

Meat is not a food group, and is associated with many many diseases.

I have worked in commercial chicken farms. The conditions shown here are not common practice. Common sense should tell you that. Chickens are their life, their money. Much care is taken to make sure all chickens from the day they hatch till the day they are processed are alive and healthy. More live healthy chickens equals more money.

Who do you think have most power and influence? We all know it should be the people, but according to some new US laws (FEC), corporations should have more influence than the people. So now they do, and it's basically up to the corporations whether they want to give the power back to the people or not. That or a desperately needed revolution.
