Double header games routinely have lower first game attendance as you pay for one ticket and get to watch two games (I think they still did that then). But I know damn well that even in the worst days and conditions their werent no 2000 damn fans there.

Ok here we go...Average baseball game attendance is 31k. Thats with 160 games per team.
Average MLS is 15k. A 4% drop from the previous year. MLS games are also far cheaper to attend which would explain the fluffed up attendance. Many, many soccer teams and leagues go under in the US.

MLS games cost nearly nothing to attend. Also, it shows what great sports fans the US has. I mean we put 60-110k in a football match, 20-44k for a daily baseball match, 15-25k for Hockey, 15-25k for basketball. Clearly the best sports fans in the world.

Many play multiple sports. It is athletics afterall. The best athletes play football or basketball or both. Some play babseball to. The ones left over usually play soccer, track, or ride the bench in the other big sports. Howard played Soccer and BB in HS all 4 years. He got no College offer.

Canadians lay claim to hockey but many have suggested it was invented in the US as well. So, we got 3 of the largest sports in the World started here in North America. And the US could care less. Im sorry, is speed not a prerequisite for Soccer? It should be. Speed is clearly the apex of all professional sports. Slow and pro sports does not exist. Soccer does not glorify its speed because it knows it is slow. Are you trying to tell me that the additional speed of the Brazilian team is not advantageous? In football you need to run And control a ball, you need to know where every player on the pitch is, you have to calcualte what the best pass will be, you have to be able to pass it high and long, or short and quick, or bend it round a defender on the ground, prick out a striker sandwiched by 2 6ft 4 centre backs.....
