They don't necessarily LOOK like girls. This style is called Visual Kei and it tends to promote androgyny, which is when male and female characteristics are combined, whether it is fashion or sexual identity or lifestyle. Visual Kei, however, does not necessarily have a homosexual reference, the views on gender roles just differ from Western viewpoints. However, they are actually all striving towards one central goal of beauty, whether it be ‘feminine’ or not.

@HarukaChan Ayabie went on a haitus. Aoi (the singer in this video) wanted to stay with their record company because he didn't want all the staff's work to go to waste. While Aoi stayed, the other 4 left. The 4 that left then decided to start a new band called AYABIE, in all caps and english. Its different because the ayabie in this video is written in japanese. The guitarist then became the singer of the new AYABIE. Make sense? lol its a bit confusing.

Back then I didn't know much about Ayabie's history, so I was looking for Ryohei, I didnt know he left in 2006. Yes I am a big fan of Ayabie, but Ayabie with Ryohei with them. I also like some of their songs after his departure though. But I am turned off when they left Aoi behind (or did he really stay?) I am a big fan of Megamasso too, because of Ryohei :) Yes I remember you, we have conversations every now and then :)
