He's right, the "Other things" do shorten your dreams. I had one where i did said other things and woke up, went straight back into the dream though... Anyways... BTW, i have noticed that spinning doesn't really help... i mean, mine get fuzzy and out of focus the i wake, but i had another dream where it started to get fuzzy, i spun, helped for a bit, then, (while never getting un-fuzzy) got even more out of focus... I like the video's, i will soon be watching all of them, and i subbed so... :)
Hey dude great videos. Couple of questions. How vivid were your dreams before lucid dreaming and how does the vividness of lucid dreams compare? I've never actually trained to lucid dream by the step-by-step process, though at some point I did train my dream self to do things I would like to do, though I wasn't actually lucid at the time. For example I trained myself to dream about flying simply by randomly trying to fly during the day. My dreams are never quite that vivid however.
I'm hoping I can learn how to have lucid dreams. (I have had 2 so far. One was I was so freaked out since it was a nightmare, that I tried to wake up (I just went into another dream...which SUCKED) and the other one I started to fly and got so excited I woke up -_- They've both happen very recently, and now almost all nights I have ONE vivid dream... two at the most. Okay, so I'm at least gteting SOME where... but I have a long ways to go.
thanks for this im trying to become a lucid dreamer myself and this has been the most clear tutorial ive seen and so i dont forget this i wrote a tutorial in my dream journal
i have had a lucid dream one time in the past but i woke up in the game world of warcraft and i started to float with out control but i do not no what that means
so if i want to do lucid dreams as a regular thing i should start small like take in the enviroment see the things that are bizzare in reality but probably the most normal thing in my dreams
The one of the best things which helped me to get my LD not fading was shouting out loud "MY LD WILL BECOME MORE CLEAR NOW!!!" and something like that. It can help you to get to higher layers of LD too.
thank u so much bro! gonna be awesome to lucid dream again! i have done it before whitout doing this, but it dont really last long then, and it kinda....lags...
Hey dude this tut really helped me just a question do you have to record your lucid dreams once again thank you so much for doing this keep up the good work!
When I lay down and I dont move my body at all, how do I know when my body is asleep. And how do I enter the dream world. I'm really confused by this and I keep thinking that I'm going to go into a scary f***ing dream where it's just horrible. Please answer my questions. Thank's.
ive been practicing lucid dreaming for about a couple months. i got lazy with my dream journal so my dreams were less vivid and i started to not really remember them which made me mad. its been a week since i started back with my journal and I had the best LD experince, so far, last night. To answer anyones questions on how it feels... It's not like a normal dream. it is YOUR consiousness in YOUR dream wolrd. so yes it does feel like your conciousness in your waking life, if not more vivid lol.
So... in a lucid dream, it seems completely like real life? (As in it feels like it?) Because my dreams usually feel like they are completely random and don't feel normal at all. So do you have a lucid dream every night? If not, then how often?
@Someone7089 It is Identical to real life!! I used to have a Lucid Dream every night... but I dont focus on my own personal LD as much as I should so I dont often get them... However because I have trained my brain well to LD I have really clear and vivid experiences when they happen (e.g. flying, teleporting and creating objects)
was able to write down bits and pieces from 3 or 4 dreams, but in all of them I felt I just was along for the ride; I'll try the reality checks tonight and see how it goes, thanks for the vid.
On my first day of lucid dreaming I had 3 lucid dreams. All those 3 lucid dreams didnt last very long,i could feel slipping into a non lucid state.Am I on a good track ?
I've never had a lucid dream :( I've only tried for a week, cuz that was when i found out about this crazy thing! but asnyways, I KNOW that I'll wake up if i am aware of dreaming, cuz i'll get too excited.. but it sounds really awesome, and i have some questions; Can you Really feel that you are sleeping? When you write down your dreams, u actually move alot, are u supposed to go back to sleep after writing down? When you touch surroundings, can you feel them?
@Mimmio97 Being in a dream, is just as real as waking life. When you touch something you honestly feel it... .Look at one of my videos called Pain in a Dream, to here about the dream in that sense a bit more! :D
I had a weird dream while trying to lucid dream. I dreamed i was walking around in youtube except i could control it like a lucid dream except i could hear things happening in my house because it was like 7 in the morning and i could hear my parents talking. then i decided i didnt want to dream about youtube so i started spinning and i woke up
@Basspusherz holy shit same thing happened to me, but when i realized i was on the verge of waking up i did as much crazy shit in my dream as possible.
Hahahahahahaha dude your awesome. And I was wondering if the binaural beats for lucid dreaming really help; or are they just messing my chances up? I accidentally lucid dreamed for the first time ever a couple days ago, and I did listen to the binaural beats thing before hand, but the lucidity didn't last long and my dream began to fade away but I pulled it back together and stole a car hahahaha. But then woke up. Anyways since then I haven't been able to do it again, but have been listening to
i have writed all my dreams in 3 mounths and still havent achieved lucidity, and i also do my reality checks like look to my hands BUT STILL NO LUCID DREAM! please help
what about spirituality in lucid dreaming? im taoist and taoist meditations/qi gong use a lot of visualization. if i did this in the dream would it help me enhance my chi/qi???? or what about kung fu? if i practiced in the dream would it count as practice time in real life???
@ironman0594 Practicing something in a dream counts towards it in real life (DR Stephen Leberge did a study on it once) im not sure about the meditation, i have never done it, but if i had to guess... i would say yes. The only way you can truely find out is to do it yourself!!
so when i fall asleep and then when i wake up theres something off my nightstand on the floor, its just from me waking up in between dreams and adjustinhg? beacsue if sleep paralysis paralizes you how else would i be able to know stuff over. @cokeisgood111 I have been making a theory about something that I call the "Avatar Effect" where you are conscious for such a long time in a week that you cant determine what is real life and what is a dream. However I haven't actually got around to study it :P
In another tutorial I've seen tips like sleeping for a bit, being awake for a few hours and then going to sleep again, to boost the chances of going into lucid mode. I don't remember the exact recommended numbers, but basically controlling your sleep patterns. Do you have any comment on that?
@Gameboygenius Yh thats called a Wake Back to Bed (WBTB) method, its really effective, you need to wake up 2hours before you would normally, stay awake for an hour then go back to sleep. You need to be able to do this (my method in the vid) first cause you still have to realise you are dreaming.
I have a similar step by step guide, called WILD check that out!!
It's funny, because, as a child, I can remember having lucid dreams where I'd realize I was dreaming and I'd fly. There was this one that I vividly remember where I was driving a truck (I was a child at the time, so driving was something I fantasized about) and I realized I was dreaming, so I climbed out of the door window of the truck and stated to fly. I haven't had a dream like that in years... But I have figured out how to wake myself up from dreams (more specifically nightmares).
I'm not sure or I got the definition of lucid dreams right but I have been able to realize I'm in a dream. A weird thing for me is that I always have the feeling I'm blind, I don't really see anything but I'm like 100% sure of my surroundings well maybe only 90% but I can't see them properly I just know they are there. Does anybody else have this.
@turoniable Yes I know the feeling, sometimes when I realise that I am dreaming its because that my vision is impaired, blind or blurry. Once you have a great deal of control in a dream you can learn to control it. Once you do then you can create your own pictures to see... :D
Last night, before watching this, I had a sort of lucid dream, actually 2 similar dreams, different nights. I wake right when it gets good. It felt VERY real... I mean I got excited towards the end. Then it looked fuzzy and I knew it was a dream. Right when it faded, I tried to go back to sleep but just couldn't. This looks too interesting to pass up. I'll get started tonight! Also, these videos are awesome!
in all my dreams for the past idk 3 years theres always been one person. my ex gf. and they usual end up with me protecting her or somthing. idk i dont get it lol
So I have a question. You said everybody dreams: and I agree, but when I sleep..i cant quite describe it. Its like i finally fall asleep then there's blackness for maybe a minuet than i wake up. So here's my question: is blackness a dream? Also how can i REMEMBER my dreams. I haven't had a dream i can remember for at least two weeks. And when I wake up its gone, not like a shattered memory of it...its just gone.
I've had dreams where horrible, horrible things happen to me or others around me. One that happens very frequently (and apparently an incredibly common dream among other dreamers) is that my teeth fall out of my mouth. Usually when this happens I can figure out that I am dreaming and that makes me feel less terrified and I just wait patiently for my dream to end. Do you reckon this is lucid dreaming to some degree?
Please, do a step by step on W.I.L.D technique. I've been trying to do it unsuccessfully for awhile now. I've never had a real lucid dream yet, but I've been trying for awhile. I always seem to get really close and then I involuntarily do something like swallow or take incredibly deep breaths because I've been focusing on manually breathing for awhile and I don't do it correctly.
yup. like i was consciously thinking oh, im in a dream and i remember looking at my hands and telling my freind in my dream that i was looking at my hands but then i just forgot about it and my dreams allways seem to be fuzzy kind of and it feels not as real as real life. if you know what i mean
@amoemo1 its time to start touching the walls to get a bit more energy. Fuzzyness of a dream is a sign of a lack of energy. For you it may help to touch stuff and constanly say I am dreaming, just to give you a head start...
last night i realize i was dreaming and i looked at my hands but then i sorta just forgot about it. i was barely lucid so i need to get my dream recall better. i barely had control of my dream.
@amoemo1 Not always the case the problem might not be because of your dream recall it might be because you are not consciously looking at your hands then thinking "my hands are weird, I must be dreaming", or "my hands are fine I am awake". Also did you look at your hands because of my vid?
every time is start to realize that i am dreaming i immediately wake up any help?
