Again, you are heros. What a gentle giant and now beautiful again. You could tell that he knew he was loved here. He so enjoyed the grooming and tender care. What a change from the sad eyed, skinny horse in the feedlot. Thank you from this horse lover.
Great job on the video and in healing Brego! He has come a long way. I remember when he was first rescued, as Expresso, from the feedlot. He now looks dappled and shines like silk in the sun... so wonderful!
Yes, I'm working on the third one, all about the retraining process, which takes a LONG time.... I have decided, however, that I will combine all my footage into a real documentary (with talking and background) and then submit it to some TV stations. Thanks for your comment - he is doing great.
The more I spend time with this horse, and the miracle I get to witness every day, the more I realize that I'm the lucky one. I am the one who has received the biggest gift from this guy, a daily reminder of hope.
You give each other strength. Its lovely to see. Its great that you are sharing this with everyone. Im in Australia and wish I could do more for these poor slaughterbound horses. You have made a difference and gained a lifelong friend. Love and friendship to you both... Aussie chick
That is the anesthesia wearing off - I had no idea that they shook like that, but the vet told me that there is so much loaded into their systems to keep them under, that they tremor for a while. It was watching him shake that was the hardest for me, made me turn a little pale, enough that the vet asked me if I was okay......
Thank you so very much. WOW, I am in awe of all you do. YOU are my hero! I will think about this for a very long time. What a great video and thanks for sharing your life. And THANKS for rescuing dear sweet Brego, (Captain Dudley) I could watch him run for hours!
Thank you so much for these great videos on a beautiful horse! Please keep making videos on Brego! He reminds me so much of Barbaro! You are truly an angel!
Brego is lucky. So many aren't. I have a Seattle Slew granddaughter saved from a neighboring feedlot - three years old. We can't save them all without passage of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act, but Brego inspires us to work toward this goal. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.
