The Memory of Alpha (second half of the album) is about the time before the Flood. The Memory of Alpha track is about the expulsion from the Garden. Red Will Dye These Snows of Silver is about the story of Cain and Abel and how Abel's blood has stained history. I think this video centers on Abel and Eve and how his murder separated them. Just my guess.
WATMM will always be a fav album, but Otherly Opus is so well crafted it maybe my fav JE release.
Where does one have to go to find people who look the people in this video? Germany? One of those cold Nordic countries? Southern Cali? Wherever it is I'm moving there.
This really is the actual video for "Red Will Dye," though Ronnie was not involved in it aside from his music track being laid down with the video. The video also aired in select American Eagle retail stores.
I <3 Joy Electric!!! Would love to see Family Force 5, Rootbeer, and Joy Electric go on Tour! I would quit my job, live off the Taco Bell value menu, and catch every show :D

I'm sorry everybody but this must be said. This man is no genious. You know who was brilliant? Classical like, bach and Beethoven. then there is a hand full of bands today like pearljam and faunts. But this is no where near anything.. I can't believe it but this mght be one of his better.. "songs". Every video i see i can't help but laugh. Cause all this is a joke. It has to be. If this music is meant to be serious i seriously question where music is heading.Children of the lord was thelast straw
And you have a right to think that. But you do realize that music, like everything else in this entire existence, is in the eye of the beholder, right? Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean no one else does. Some of us are pleased to hear different sounds, and your examples wouldn't please everyone either. So show a little respect, hm?
Pearl Jam? Really? I like Pearl Jam, but just because you like them doesn't make them geniuses. And just because you don't like Joy Electric doesn't mean they're bad. Pull your head out of your ass.
joy electric inspires me more than anything else i've ever known, and that's to put it simply. to call him a genius would be an understatement in the sense that there are many 'geniuses' out there. and you're right. "this is no where near anything." because this is amazingly different from everything.
I love how none of my friends get this guy. I can't honestly name one other person I know who likes this music, but I could name a ton who know they hate that weird techno I play in my car. I could listen to it for hours! Ronnie's such a genious
LAME- great song - crappy video- I want monosynth back!!! great song with a music video that really pushed the envelope about what is acceptable by the anti-gay fundamentalist "church"
I arrived to hear the earth unleash its cries A guilty hand The fruit of past fracturings First to be of many future histories From suffered birth Now red will dye these snows of silver Red will dye these snows of silver Famous by the mark inflicted on your life The generations find new use for your crime On green hills an angel guards a bleak reminder For all time
that cleared a lot of things up for me...my sisters and I saw this on a christian tv station and we made a game of quessing what they were saying...we guessed "simbaahhh"(idk why), "silvaaaahhh", and it was indeed "silver".
Is this REALLY the video for a Joy Electric song? I mean, THEE Joy Electric, right? *lol* This is just so different from the things I like about them that I dare say this is completely off my radar. Never thought in a million years I would say that about JE, and it's a beautiful video, but just destroyed the whole vibe the song gives me. :-\ Thanks for uploading though - first time I've seen this!
@sixtyfrikinfour lol....and this says a guy who dont even know something about electronic musicgenres....this is synthpop, 80s.... or at least something in this genre....and not techno ;)
I've been a big fan of Ronnie for years, used to have "Jesus" by Dance House Children and I still have "We Are Music Makers" on casette...it's amazing how his sound has evolved and matured since "Melody" in 1994. JE 4 Life
i really dont get the title of the song its just...well different.... it doesnt make any sense red will dye.... ooooo i get it now moment of realization there it must mean blood.
I`ve thought that her boyfriend is dead, and she walks around some places that remindes her of him. and his ghost walks with her. sad story seems to me(
I'm not sure if I really understand the storyline here, other than that they are sad and the relationship they had doesn't seem to have worked out. Any explanations? Does anyone know what the locket stands for?
I think it's supposed to be a love story that reaches through parallel universes. One of them only exists in one, and the other only exists in a different one.
Yeah, I agree... just having a hard time connecting that to the storyline of the video. Well, whatever, the video looks great and the music sounds great...

To be honest, I think all JE videos are pretty poor. Ronnie just can't do videos well. Monosynth was an exception.
Ronnie should outsource his videos more, or, if he already does, outsource them to someone good.
